Tikem and Ambibambibambilicious are arrested under suspicion of being Kira. They were forced to listen to Gilbert Gottfried's audio-book of A Tale of Two Cities. Five minutes later with their ears bleeding, they consent to a search of their homes. Nothing turns up and they are released due to lack of evidence.

Broccoli and ICSP are confronted under suspicion of being Kira as they sat down discussing various matters in front of a cafe. The two saw them coming and made a break for the nearest gap in the crowd. Detectives had already surrounded the place and shouted for them to stop but they had no intentions of going quietly. Broccoli pulls out a copy of The Economist and opens it to reveal a blank piece of paper on which he writes ICSP's name, hoping his death will buy himself time to escape. ICSP pulls out the Death Note and writes Broccoli's name in it hoping the same thing. The two are found dead a block away from the cafe. The Death Note failed to be recovered.
