Death Note Game

An investigator went to Axei-chan's house to capture her, but he had been having a bad day, so instead he pointed at the house and it disintegrated from the top up. When it had finished, there was nothing there. The detective raised his hand, and a piece of paper appeared. Words appeared on the paper as he thought them. "Thoroughly investigated scene. No evidence of Axel-chan being Kira has been round." It then vanished, travelling en-route to the police department. The investigator willed himself away, and also vanished.

The next day, the same investigator was contacted about the report, or rather, the absence of one. Eventually the investigator realised he had been dreaming, so irritated, he went to Axel-chan's house, tazered her, patted her down, gave a cursory glance around the room then left and wrote up his report.

On the third day, the detective was contacted again. Apparently he hadn't been 'thorough enough' in his investigation. Surrendering, he went to Axel-chan's house for a third time, tazered her, examined all furniture, broke all furniture into segments that couldn't physically contain a notebook, ripped down the wallpaper, smashed a few holes in the wall and completely strip-searched her. The HQ was finally satisfied, but the investigator ended up charged with sexual abuse, due to Axel-chan waking up in her ruined room with no pants on, multiple tazer marks and the investigator's DNA everywhere.

Nice. I get abused until proven innocent...
And just to point something out, I noticed Ghetto is playing but has not died/been proven innocent by what I remember. This is NOT an accusation, just something I noticed.

 

Gobolo was testing out a new chicken de-attractor, said to de-attract any chicken in a fifty mile radius. Unfortunately, the 'de' was only crudely drawn on the machine. It was in fact, a chicken ATTRACTOR. In the end, Gobolo drowned in feathers. And tar. Out of nothing. Yes. That's how it went. <.< ..... >.> ToD: 5PM GMT 25th March 2010.

 

That was the shortest life as a detective ever.

 

Ghetto is not playing in this round. While I assumed all of those who played in the first round wanted into the second, because the general consensus that round 1 sucked, round 2 seemed to leave a better impression on people, so they had to rejoin. Ghetto has not posted after the end of round 2, thus he is not playing. Although as ZRW got accused, I guess if you wish to accuse him, I'll indulge you.

Death:
Axel-chanviii died as a massive Writer's Block fell upon her. The Detectives Anonymous found her, and deducted her time of death to be 10PM, March 25th. Elementary, dear Watson.

It's a shotgun shaped like a shovel. Or a shovel that works as a shotgun.

Kira has the eyes. Use them.

Guardian_Soul was afraid for his life. He barricaded himself to his basement. He set up traps all over his house, making sure no one could get to him. This plan was perfect, until around 5 PM, March 26th his food storages emptied and he had to go out to pick up some food.

One of his neighbours found his body, headless, disemboweled and with multiple misc. wounds around his body. And then there were none.

Catch the Rain was satisfied. All those who opposed her rule were dead, and had a devoted and fanatical ally. She was celebrating by taking a trip to Hawaii by private Jumbo Jet, piloted by a Death Note'd pilot. She had left her second, Snow Villier in charge, along with many pages of the Note. In fact, it was he who had suggested her day off, and he who had arranged the flight.

As it was flying over Hawaii, it rose higher, and refused to land. When it had passed entirely over its destination, CtR went to the front to check out what was going on. When she spoke to the pilot she got no reply, and when she reached over to take control of the plane, she felt the pilot press a gun against her and say "Sit down." in a monotone voice.

As she left the cockpit, she glanced around and saw on the various screens that Antarctica was the destination.


Snow Villiers walked into a military base unopposed by security. Eventually he came to the corridor leading to his destination, and two guards who hadn't been killed prior to his entry. They trained their guns on him, and asked his business being there. In response, eyes gleaming, Snow pulled out a sheet of paper attached to a wooden board and wrote down two names, followed by the words "Obey me!" on the sheet. Moments later, both the guards snapped to attention, unlocked the room they were guarding, and saluted him, creating an arch for him to walk under. He did so, and entered.

In the room was nothing. All was a gloss black, the walls were perfectly round, and the floor had nothing on it. Unperturbed, Snow walked decidedly to a spot on the wall and Calling to one of the guards, he ordered him to place his hand on a specific place. Once he did, three small panels in the room slid up, revealing three keyholes, equally far apart. Snow pulled out a keyring with three keys on it, and chucked one to each guard, keeping one for himself. He again wrote on the page, and immediately, the guards walked to the keyholes and counted down from ten. On three, the two guards and Snow inserted the keys into the keyholes, and on zero, they turned the keys sharply to the right. Both guards collapsed, blood dripping from their mouths, and Snow Villiers looked as the panel with his keyhole on it slid upwards.

Catch the Rain's flight ended in front of a large construction in Antarctica. The pilot helped her off the plane, and wordlessly guided her into the unnatural building. Resistance was out of her mind. Instead, she wanted to know what was going on. The feeling of the book in her pocket was reassuring. She entered the complex, and the pilot took her down many flights of stairs, into an elevator without buttons. It descended, she came to a room with many screens on them, all displaying the same thing. Snow Villier walking into the American military HQ and heading towards the nuclear launch room.

Speakers came online and Snow Villier's voice was heard from them. "You're far too idealistic. You cannot make a perfect world by killing off the rotten. You see, the Rot isn't in the rotten, it's in humanity. No matter how many times you think you've killed off the Rot, it'll reappear, somewhere, in some human. There is no end to this. Humanity itself is the Rot, and I am going to do what I promised you when I first met you: " When she realised was he was going to do, she whispered a cliché "No..." under her breath. "That's right," Snow's voice continued. "I'm going to remove the Rot, and to do so, I'm going to destroy the human race!"

Something was trigged in CtR, and she grabbed the pilot's pistol out of his pocket and shot him clean through the skull. She drew her most powerful weapon, the Death Note, but suddenly realised she didn't have a pen. Seeing the keys being turned on-screen, she bit at her finger desperately, drawing blood. Messily, she scrawled Snow's name in the book's pages, just as the panel rose for a second time. Then the voice came online again, predicting what she had done. "That won't work my dear. Do you think I would show you this if there were any chance of you disrupting it? Oh no. This all happened quarter of an hour ago, at eleven forty-five pm. Now sit back and enjoy the show." CtR had run out of options. With nothing left to do, she stared at the screens.

Behind the second panel was a touch-screen with a map of the world. Snow started with the top left of the screen, pressing his pen there. Then he moved an inch across, and pressed again, repeating until the screen was covered in a lattice of red dots, each an inch apart, except for the white mass at the middle of the bottom of the screen. Then he pressed a button on the front of the console. The panels all slid shut, and the lights flickered, knowing what was going to happen. Snow sat down in the centre of the room and drew his knife. Almost ritually, he stabbed it into the left of his abdomen, then viciously swung it to the right. As he collapsed, the lights went completely dark.

On separate screens, various scenes were shown, each of a capital city. CtR immediately recognised New York, and could only look on as the screen lit up with the power of the Atom Bomb, turning into static. One by one, the other screens met the same fate. A few continued fuctioning after the flash, revealing the devastation.

CTR cracked, and again, smeared Snow Villier's name onto the book in her blood. Flipping to the next page, she repeated, then again and again. Her finger scabbed over and wasn't releasing enough blood, so she started clawing at her self to reopen the wound and get more. With her hands ripped open again, she continued to scrawl his name on each page in big letters, until the note was drenched in her blood, each page filled. But she wasn't satisfied. Screaming, she kept clawing, and wrote his name on the floor. Again, her finger scabbed over and the flow of blood slowed. Slowed, she picked up the abandoned gun and blew a hole in her shoulder, and without flinching, used that as her ink, repeatedly writing Snow Vilier's name anywhere there was a blank spot, her script unreadable. But that wasn't enough. Wanting more blood to write his name more, and to kill him and stop the tragedy, she clawed at her throat...

If someone were to investigate the room several kilometres underground, they would find the entire room covered in blood, with illegible words covering every surface, and a young woman slumped against a wall, an insane look on her face, throat ripped open and hands covered in blood.

But there isn't anyone to investigate. Because there are none left.



Two shadows met on a snowy rooftop. One of them, the one wearing a trench coat was slightly covered in snow, as it had snowed juat few moments ago. The other one was shivering from cold. "You've spent too much time in New Zealand. It's not even that cold in here. Anyway, it seems that I won. My Kira lasted longer", the man in the trench coat spoke to the rodent-like man.
"True," replied the other, "But if I were just 30 minutes faster, I'd be the one saying that to you."
Shivering, he continued, "Our little game seems to have brought down a nuclear winter on this Earth. Who would have thought the Mikami would be insane enough to unleash the entire stockpile of nuclear weapons of America?"
The other shrugged. "Shall we continue to the next game board?"
"I suppose so."

Large, feathered wings sprouted out of both beings, and they flew upwards, back to their own world, to find another place to stave off their boredom.

 

so I may or may not have died. yaaaaay.

Detectives, it's now time for you to make a few choices. Do we want the next round to be two Kira or not? I think it makes the rounds last longer. If so, do we have two Shinigami, or one? If two, I think each Shinigami should manage their own Kira entirely. The accusations can either be delegated to one Shinigami, or to whoever does it first.

A suggestion was recently given to me by Spaztic regarding the Death Eraser featured in the pilot Death Note episode. Basically, it brought people back to life. It was suggested that it could be used to bring someone who had been killed back instead of a hint when the Shinigami breaks the kill-per-24 hours rule, or something similar. Do we want it featured? Yes/No?

Oh, and as ICSP wishes, the Kira's kill-per-24 hours is now measured from the start of the game.

 

I sorta like having two Kira, but maybe it should be a surprise. Like, sometimes there are 2, sometimes there aren't, and we don't get find out until one of them gets accused. Also, obviously, I choose yes for the Death Eraser thing.
