Kira 2's clue has been presented in a previous round, and is all-but-identical

i accuse KH2man13 using the megaupload clue, and the hints to download keycrypt and such and such

you know keycrypt can it get rid of a partition i don't wamt, it used to be a recovery drive but now it sits there doing nothing and i wanna get rid of it

 

For some reason, the MegaUpload file isn't working for me. I try to open it but it says the file is damaged.

Just kidding. I've clearly had too much alien mayonnaise. Making my head hurtsies.

KH2Man13 is taken into Detective custody by surprise, and forced into a cell for weeks on end. For the first week, the killings continued. For the second week, the killings continued. On the third week, the killings stopped, and under the influence of alien mayonnaise, KH2man13 declared that P is right he was GUILTY of being the second Kira.

Oh, and Tummer was drowned by seaweed mutated by alien mayonnaise on Saturday, 12 February 2011 at 20:05, but that's neither here-nor-there.

@L: What do you mean? Usually any evidence is supplied with the list created by the listmaker.

@TsumetaiTaichou: Truecrypt doesn't alter partitions on your drive; it creates encrypted folders.

It's so much more satisfying if the Detectives explain fully how they solved the clue. Otherwise it feels like any other random accusation. ._.

Looks like I'll need to stop using Truecrypt. A pity.

 

@ P : Shame i really want this partition to disappear. And just for you i'll make a dramatic story below of the solving of the clue okay :)

well it all started with another key and file that i couldn't open :(

so i decided to use the hint provided - truecrypt, i imediatly rushed to google in hopes for some answers and lo and behold i found a downloadable program XD
i sacraficed the train journey into work (making me 10 mins late) to install the program.

i then used the program to mount the clue file, the a pop-up came up said someing about a key, thinking i didn't have a key i fell into a mild depression when i remembered i actually had a key file all along. When i enter the key file i got another pop-up saying "please select a driver" so i picked R drive,

next thing i know nothing happend :(

but when i went on to my computer there was an r drive and in it was one lonely file called K, i decided to go deeper into the file system to find a clue, but found nothing, until i decided to look at the address bar where i saw the letters

K -> H -> 2-> m -> a-> n -> 1 -> 3

so based on that i accused KH2man13 and helped eliminate a kira.


@ L ; this is the only valid clue left now unless someone has an L hint that they haven't brought forward.

I love that. Mainly because somehow it amused me :D

I think it was decided that there are no more Ls. P, is this correct or am I just insane?

There are no more specific Ls. A hint is released per-Kira, per-day to a random Detective. If the Kira fails to kill for 24 hours, you get a hint in the thread.

There is one hint that has not been placed in the thread yet.

Also, there are three rules I'd like to change/clear up by next round:

-One cannot accuse for 24 hours after joining, excluding those who joined at the start of the round. This is to prevent a player from sitting the round out, then entering at the end-game to accuse the Kira.

-A successful accusation does not open the chance for you to be accusation-killed. This is due to a lack of clarity on this subject.

-The Hint criteria will become "Kira must kill one person each day" as opposed to the current one, which is "Kira must not go 24 hours without killing". This will bring it into line with the Shinigami Eyes criteria. (And make my job slightly easier.)

 

I second these rules.
