Deaths:

Mako Tsunami is found in a locked room with the only known key to the room in his pocket. The windows are shuttered and locked. The door was securely chained. There was no one concealing themselves in the closet, under the bed or in any other conceivable place. There are no secret passages into the room, and no traces of a trap are found.

Mako himself is found slumped against a wall with his stomach wide open, sweets, candy and soda cans pouring out from inside. The entire room has a Halloween theme, with pumpkins scattered around and burnt-out candles supplying the only light. On the door, a circle with an odd design is drawn in a red blood-like material.

Detectives could come to no conclusion other than he had set up the room himself, then eaten the candy and armed small bombs whole after locking the door.

Mako Tsunami died at 9:13 PM April 20th.
It was supposed to be like the BB murder cases, but as I haven't read it, I did another shameless Umineko clone. Please don't eat me.

 

I accuse Mr. Brightside. Will I require proof for this or is it one accusation everyday not 24 hours?

 

You require no proof. The 24 hour rule simply means you need to wait 24 hours before you (you personally, not detectives as a whole) can accuse again (and even then, you require evidence).

As such, I'm sure you won't mind letting me leave the accusation for the morning, as I need sleep.

I suppose Tikem could handle it if he came online though.

When Brightside was about to return home from work, Fayt came to the conclusion of the trails of evidence he'd been following. He made a simple call on his cellphone, then left alongside Brightside.

Brightside returned to his house to find it completely gone. He looked all around for it, but couldn't find it anywhere. As he was searching, two officers sneaked up on him and struck him unconscious. They then carried him to the police station.

Brightside denied everything about Kira. To make him talk, they researched his greatest fears. Within thirty seconds of threatening to flip him upside down, he was on the floor, begging them to believe he was Kira. However, he lost a significant amount of credibility when he also confessed to Caesar's assassination, JFK's death, the BB murder cases and the successful murder of Obama. He was declared insane and returned to his home (which reappeared when he'd originally left it).

Unfit to confess, and thus INNOCENT

Ah, no Mako. You were killed because of the accusation. How careless of me to miss it.

Keyblade Spirit's arrest warrant was given to Brightside as a chance to prove he's able to make rational decisions. Brightside knocked KS out by using a three-week-old sock to block his airways. He then proceeded to wrap Keyblade Spirit up in a 500m roll of bubble wrap and use detective resources to hire a helicopter. KS woke up completely immobilised by the bubble wrap, and several kilometres in the air, next to an open door of the helicopter. Brightside then threatened to push KS out if he didn't confess to being Kira. KS promptly confessed, intelligent enough to realise that he would probably die if he were to fall. Brightside pushed him out anyway for shits and giggles.

KS fell several kilometres onto hard concrete, but was unharmed due to the bubblewrap, which was wrapped by a true master.

The detective team was viewing the event via CCTV, but at that point they decided to step in. KS promptly took back his 'confession', and no one felt like following up on words said by a guy about to be pushed out of a chopper.

I accuse Fearless!

Accusations:

Fearless was kidnapped in her sleep and bound to a chair in a dark room. She was awoken with a jolt to a large man in a prison uniform. Without saying anything, he stepped forward and said "Let's see how 'fearless' you are"

The man proceeded to repeatedly punch at her face repeatedly, stopping millimetres away. Instead of flinching, Fearless began laughing out loud. After another few minutes of the treatment, she was no longer laughing, and after a few more, she was flinching erratically. Forwards. Into the fist. Laughing again.

The interrogator was forced to retire to the first aid section after breaking his hand on her forehead. The interrogation was called off, and Fearless was declared INNOCENT.

Deaths:

Fayt-Harkwind was found on a mountain in a Kraft Lawrence cosplay outfit. His corpse had fatal wounds characteristic of a wolf pack attack. The last text message his phone recalled sending was "ima off 2 fnd horo" The autopsy dated his death at April 21 6:01 PM.

Mr Brightside was discovered hanging by a rope from the rafters in his garage. His wrists were slit, a plastic bag was over his head, the garage was sealed with his car engine on and traces of a fatal amount of sleeping pills were found in his stomach. He didn't leave anything to chance. The autopsy dated his death at 7:06 PM, April 21st

I've been thinking. It was said before that the issue of accusing someone who is Kira and Kira killing the person was prevented due to Kira basically being locked down of sorts.

But what if there's two kiras?

 

The Other Kira would not be able to kill the accuser by misaccusation. If he does kill the accuser, the accusation will be processed.

IMO.

@P: If a Kira has timed a detective's death to occur after the said person accuses, but has PM'd the death to the Shinigami before the accusation has occurred, will the accusation be processed? I've been wondering this for a long time.
