Death Note Game

sounds like fun, but internet is throwing a fit for me so i cant be involved :(

 

The death of this game had nothing to do with the rules, I guarantee that. It was probably the fact that the form is half as active as it was back in 09

The game was vibrantly active for the first two or three iterations (I think) and the rules were virtually the same as they are now. Member participation flagging as well as people learning too many of the player's names led to this game's death in the end.

I'd play if I had time to watch the thread religiously like I did during the first DN game but as things are I'd better not.

If you strike too fast then its easier to accuse people, if I was Kira, which I am not, then I wouldn't kill someone this fast.

 

I believe I already stated that. Or, the Kira could be a newb, who'd kill if he/she had a chance, but can't as he/she knows no names, which would be the case if a certain person isn't the first to be beheaded. Of course, it could mean that Kira is that person.

That's just common sense. By this, the Kira ends up getting Shinigami eyes, but in return, we get a clue. Unless someone (read: me) accuses. This prevents Kira from getting the eyes, and clears the target of suspicion.

 

I don't think so. If you want to accuse, then it is your call.

Exactly. That rule really bugs me; not only does it compromise privacy, but it also ensures that eventually the game is grossly imbalanced. There's a reason the original Mafia only allows one-to-three kills per day/night, only one of which is made by the titular group.

Plus it's unfair for new members. I don't know anyone's names that's playing. I'm just glad I'm not Kira, else I probably would have just given up already.

...Though, admittedly, if nothing else the two games look the same on the first day. Everyone's pointing fingers. xD
