Death Note Game

Accusations:

What? is frantically searched for after KS's accusation, and after many hours of looking, he is found in the 19th century. A few time paradoxes later and What? was restrained in a police cell, being questioned. However he had an alibi from Alexander the Great for the two days since the killings started. The detectives attempted to contact Alexander to question him, but regrettably he had passed away some 26 centuries earlier. What? was released due to a lack of evidence.

Deaths:

xXRhian+RoxasXx was found dead in a park, her entire body shattered and badly burnt. Around her, there were scattered Roxas posters and large chunks of plane fuselage. Interestingly, the coroner ruled that she did not die from impact on the ground, but rather from ink poisoning. Furthermore, a plane apparently carrying Roxas posters. crashed on its way from Japan to New York. The plane's black box recovered from the area gave some insight into the situation. It appears that around 2:59 AM, the plane was somehow hijacked in transit by a lone girl, who also managed to kill the crew. From 3:00 AM to 3:55 AM, the rustle of paper was heard towards the rear of the plane, along with loud slurping noises. By 3:56 AM, the plane was silent. Minutes later, it crashed.

 

My favorite terrorist is now Rhian+Roxas

I ACCUSE MIDNIGHT STAR
On the count of she was the only one of the playing members who have visited Rhian's page lately.

This is probably a stupid accusation, but I'm new at this.
I have another suspect, but I'm sticking with her.

 

xXR+RXx's death was 3:56, as that was the time she succumbed to ink-poisoning from licking the posters.

Deaths:

During the quest to find What?, Keyblade Spirit mysteriously vanished while searching through the ages. His last transmission was received at 5:30 AM, and after which, his locator beacon stopped broadcasting.

Meanwhile, scientists are boggling at a mysterious skeleton that's been unearthed on the K-T boundary. Unlike most skeletons of that period, this one was strangely humanoid, although it appears to have been crushed under a great weight. Creationists are citing it as proof of the seven-day-Genesis, and others are claiming that he was Jesus Christ himself. However due to the bad condition of the bones, it is unlikely the truth will ever be discovered.

Accusations:

Midnight Star was doing her usual job of holding up the heavens on top of a mountain when the police arrived to arrest her. Due to the minor problem of her being bound to hold up the heavens for all eternity, the heavens were propped up by an assortment of furniture while she was taken away. She denied being Kira outright, so the detectives decided that they would force her to hold up the heavens until she gave in. She was promptly taken to a mountain and ordered to to lift the heavens. After half an hour uder the torturous weight, the detectives agreed that there was no way she could be Kira, so they released her and reinstated her on her mountaintop with her previous job of holding up the heavens.

(Yeah, it was supposed to be witty take on a classical story. At some point it got a tad too convoluted. She's innocent, okay?)

EDIT: From what I've read on the first round, I can only guess that the possibility on a skilled Kira being chosen is high due to the disappointment of the last one and the killings in this one. Since I'm not that knowledgeable on the veterans, anyone have any thoughts on who?

 

I accuse Tikem.

Based on the fact he has said several times about the fact that he has been a highly successful Kira before. He won the last round so would be an unlikely person to be Kira this round, which makes him a higher suspect. He is viewed as one of the better detectives of the game and I think this could be a cover for his own work as Kira.

 

I accuse Tikem on account of him visiting Keyblade Spirit's and Pika's profiles recently.

 

Tikem being Kira wouldn't surprise me much, though something makes me doubt it. . . . Guess we won't know until P comes back. -Investigates-

 

Deaths:

Snow Villiers is found dead in his apartment, surrounded by computer screens. Cables snake around the floor, and hydro-coolers ominously bubble from time to time. All lights were off, but for the computer screens illuminating his body with scenes from a new game called Last Fiction 12b. Cords went from the computer to the wall to him. Most coiled around him, but some plugged directly into his skull. On his head was a strange visor. When examined, it was discovered to have a large crack on it, and it was frozen on a single screen of a young girl in a bear suit. The time in the corner blinked a consistent MAR 18 1:59 AM, which is said to be around the time of death as judged by the autopsy. Apart from being dead, his body didn't appear to have anything wrong with it. Doctors cannot explain the death, while technology experts and conspiracy theorists claim it has some relation to the advanced 'AI' found to be playing the game.

Accusations:

Two plain-clothed police officers went to Tikem's house to take him into custody, and rang the doorbell. Almost immediately, the door swung open to reveal none other than Tikem wearing sunglasses and a dark trench-coat with distinctive bulge in the pocket. Reaching into his pocket, he spoke four words.

"I've been expecting you."

The policemen's eyes widened. Thinking quickly, one of them lashed out with a spinning kick, throwing Tikem to the ground. Before he could take his hand out of his pocket, the other police officer ran up and drawing his tazer, straddled him, repeatedly jolting him in the chest.

Tikem woke up in a police cell. Seeing where he was, he breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing an on-duty officer nearby, he called over to him. "Hello? I'd like to report a crime. I ordered a pizza last night, but when I answered the door, I was mugged by the delivery boys. Realising the bulge in his pocket was also gone, he cursed. "The bastards got my wallet too. The officer soon realised there had been a grave misunderstanding, and Tikem was released after a short investigation.

INNOCENT


On his way home from the station, wallet reclaimed, Tikem suddenly felt the cold metal of a stun-gun pressed to his neck. He only had time to mutter "Not again..." before 500,000 volts of electricity coursed through his body, knocking him out.

He woke up to see the same officer as before. When the officer noticed him, he looked incredulous. "Twice in one day...?" he murmured to himself. Even so, he processed Tikem professionally, and when Tikem was released, he made sure to phone an ironclad taxi before taking a single step out of the station.

INNOCENT

And yes, both CtR and Spaztic's accusations were processed.

Question: Is Pika making up these deaths or is kira? Because that would make a huuuuge difference in terms of advancing.

 

The Kira gives me the setting, and I work it in. For example, Keyblade Spirit was to be crushed by a dinosaur in a time travelling accident. The Kira is allowed to do the story themselves though.

Also, Snow died on the 18th. My apologies on not making that clear.

 

We all need to move into the same time zone.

 

And here I thought we'd be able to get a hint. Eh.

This makes Tikem less likely to be Kira, so who else on the list might the Shinigami have picked?

(Something tells me shooting out accusations isn't going to suit well this round.)

Oh yeah. It sort of goes without saying, but dead people cannot accuse, nor can they assist their fellow detectives. They aren't supposed to post, but the odd post or two is overlooked.

You get no hint. The kill was three hours away from the deadline.

How's this game played again?

 

Basically original rules, except for the Misa/Mikami rules, which have been changed to be more punishing to the Kira. Also, the stalemate at the beginning has been broken by the rule change of the hint-timer only being for between kills for Kira, so it only starts when the first kill is made.
