"Doesn't matter really." She sighed hanging her head slightly, her lilac fringe dropping even futher down her face. "But he sure has changed lately..."

"Whatever. It's called a fast metabolism. One reason I'm closer to being L then you are Matt, something we have in common that I bet Near doesn't." He replied, his voice becoming moodier as he mentioned Near's name. "And I'm off until you get rid of that disgusting smell again." Mello finished, moving off down the corridor. Wading through the small cliques of children and teenagers alike.

"Yes he has. It's disappointing."

 

"I really don't care if I become L. I might have to go outside if I do. And I would have to eat sweets. Da*n it!" Matt had just died while playing Halo. "F*ck. I have to start the misson over. Crap."

 

Mello quickly made his way through the people as he headed towards one of the lesser used playrooms near the back of the house. He'd hidden some of his chocolate there having become sick of having to share everything he brought, even when it was with his own money he'd earned.

"I wouldn't go that far... But it's certainly... Not him anymore... Not really..." Juliet sighed. Mello really had changed a lot in her eyes, first for the better and then for the worse. His temper had become so much worse recently. And he was so quick to anger.

 

"You like him right?"

 

"And it is on Legendary." Matt whined.

 

"Well... Umm... yeah... I guess... you could... maybe... err... say that... possibley..." She rambled, what little that was visible of her face turning slightly pink. Giving the impression that she liked him maybe just that little bit more then say, Matt did.

 

"Then why are you here in my room instead of with him trying to cheer him up?"

 

"Because he shouts at me when I talk to him these days..." She sighed. "I don't even have to say much to upset him I don't think... He'd prob'ley like... kill me for talking to you."

 

"Why does he hates me anyway?"

 

"I really don't know... And I don't think he like... Hate-hates you. Just... Dislikes you."
"No, it's hate-hate." Mello's suddenly came from the open doorway. "Proper hate."

 

He didn't bother to stop playing and look at his rival. "Is that so?"

 

"Yeah. It is." Mello replied, scowling slightly at Near's lack of reaction. The boy was creepy, if he'd said that to anyone else the chances were they'd either cry or try and puch him one. But not Near, oh no, he was too high and mighty to stoop down to that level. To react, to act like a normal irrational human being.

 

"Hate me if you want but may I ask why?"

He put down the plane and played with his hair and turned his head enough to look at him through the corner of his eye but no more. "Weird huh? Is it how I look or act or both that makes me weird?"
