Near was up and walking around before the others. He put something at Mello's door and now he was downstairs

Mello sighed as he rolled over and out of his dreams. He begrudgingly clambered out of his bed and pulled his pajama shirt on like anyone else would pull on a dressing gown. As he opened his and Matt's bedroom door he looked down by chance and saw the package on the floor. "What the...?" He started to say before realising "Oh yeah... My birthday... Blonde moment or what..." Mello laughed quietly as he picked it up and made his way downstairs, tossing the parcell from one hand to the other and whistling to himself.

Near sighed as he played with his hair in deep thought

 

OOC- Thanks, I'll have him open it in a mintue.

XP true though.

As Mello dropped onto a sofa in one of the lounges he thought he saw the white of Near's hair, the first person he'd seen that day. I wonder why he's up so early...

He heard footsteps and turned to see Mello behind him. "Happy birthday." He said then looked away again

 

"Thanks..." Mello said quietly, looking in the opposite direction to his opponent. "Guessing this is from you then?" He asked.

 

"Throw it away if you wish. I wouldn't expect anything else really."

 

"I dislike you but I'm not a complete heartless b*stard you know... Unless you poisoned it or put laxatives in it.... It's always you quiet ones." Mello laughed nervously, obvioulsy attempting to be socialable and to get along with Near.

"I never said you were. And I wouldn't poision your food."

 

OOC- Can't trust them at all...

"You kinda implied it..." Mello mumbled "And I never know, amout of sh*t I've done to you..."

He played with his hair still. "Yeah...sorry. I guess I'll have to earn your trust. Even if that is impossible I'll try."

He shurgged. "Sorry about that." He said, standing up

He looked at Mello. "Okay."

So they're bonding... L thuoght as he walked by. i guess that's good...
