"It doesn't matter for now. Rhyme, say sorry." Near said.
"No." Rhyme crossed her arms.
Near sighed and tickled her feet more. Grabbing her ankle, he ran his finger up and down her sole.
Rhyme burst out laughing, squirming around. "Okay! Okay! I'm sorry Ryuzaki."

 

Ryuzaki stared at her and nodded very slightly.

 

Rhyme smiled at him. "Okies."

 

Aizawa walked ovr to them and handed Ryuzaki some more printouts.

 

Near slumped against the arm of the sofa, watching Ryuzaki.
Rhyme laid on the sofa watching Near watch L.

 

L flicked through the pages looking at how the criminals were reported.

 

"So how are all the criminals reported?" Near asked.

 

"Kira needs a name and a face to kill"

 

"Hmm..." Near started to think.
"Thats like a Death God." Rhyme said.
Near looked up at Rhyme.
"Death Gods are stated to need a face and a name to kill. But their eyes shows the name of the person over their head so really, they just need a name." Rhyme replied. "But its not like Death Gods exist."

 

"Near-Kun, how did you know that?"

"Before I came to the Orphanage, my big brother liked abnormal things. He told me stories about Death Gods. Not like I believe it all, but how Kira kills just reminded me of when brother told me that." Rhyme replied. "Its just one of his weird stories though."

 

"story or not, this changes everything" he went into thought.

 

Rhyme looked at L. "Really?"
"Death Gods..... We should keep this in mind. Thank you Rhyme." Near said, smiling slightly at Rhyme.

"But Kira has to be a human..." Rhyme yawned.

 

"how come?" Toshiko asked.

 

"Why would a Death God go on a savage killing spree on only criminals. I would kill innocents as well if I was a Death God on a killing spree." Rhyme pointed out.
"She has a point."

 

"yeah....kira has to be human" she said.

 

"A human that should go forth and multiply...." Rhyme smirked.
"Are you saying that there should be Kira sprogs?" Near asked.

 

Toshiko pulled a disgusted face.
