"Thats why they are fake." Rhyme looked up, smiling. "Those are our names, but shortened. We can't die by shortened names, can we?"
"Please don't misunderestimate us Ryuzaki."

OOC: Nathiel Rivers and Rhiannon Memoria? Didn't you know that Nate is short for Nathiel?

 

OOC: Nope, but it's not hard to work out.


BIC:

"I am not underestimating you Near-Kun, I am merly stating the facts. and since they are only shortened versions it shouldn't be too hard to work out your real names" L took a round sweet from a box and popped it in his mouth. "And you would be correct in stating that you cannot die by giving nicknames, all the criminals names killed so far have been released in full on sources such as media reports or the internet"

 

Neal frowned slightly and looked away again.
Rhyme sighed slightly. "Yes. Anyways." She looked up at everyone. "Kira. We have worked out that he or she is a student, right? I enterained the thought of a slacker but it is more likely that Kira is hardworking." She took out a marker pen and started to write on the table. "First, we need to know where Kira is. It would help by pretending to expose L first. As L is Kira's biggest rival then this will help. In each country, we shall annouce a 'worldwide' broadcast, showing a convict that is going to die as L. If the convict dies, Kira is in that country."

 

OOC: Holy Crap....recap?

 

"Yes, I will also speak to him in an announcement and have his death broadcast on live TV, this may help me to decipher how Kira kills, we will use a convict that has not been reported or broadcast in any way to avoid the coincidence that he may just be another vitctim."

 

OOC: Near and Rhyme went to Japan. They're now with L and the others.
BIC:

Near started twirling a strand of his hair. "From where Kira is..." He looked over the task force members. Pointing a Matsuda. "You. I have a job for you. From wherever Kira may be, I want you to look over the top 100 students in the country for grades."

 

Matsuda nodded and sat down at a computer.

L stuck several syrup soaked buns onto a skewer and offered it to Rhyme.

 

Rhyme put the pen down and took the buns, eating them. "But from that, Kira should be in that 100."
"Or not."

 

L nodded then looked past them. "Toshiko-Kun, I'd prefer it if you didn't make sketches of me or our guests"

 

Near and Rhyme immediatly turned to look at Toshiko. "As we said earlier."
"Kira MUSTN'T know that we are children."

 

OOC: Well then...I guess I just havta wait for Misa...

 

"You know very well that you are not permitted to make any images of me or our guests, if you must draw someone, draw someone whose face is already known to the public"
Toshiko looked up blankly. "These sketches will not leave the building, but even so, I see your point" She walked over to a chiar near to Matsuda and began to sketch him.

 

Rhyme watched her, slightly confused.
"Nei. Why does she have to draw us?" Near asked.

 

"Same question as asking why I sit this way, or why you sing all the time"

 

"Natural habit a presume~ Rhyme sang slightly.
Near rolled his eyes.

 

"She's quite talented, she used to do court sketches, very accurate ones too" He stared at her.

 

Near stared off into space. "Theres just one thing i'm getting from Kira right now."
"What?" Rhyme asked , looking at him.
Near instantly turned and leant closer to Rhyme. "He's trying to be a God."

 

"Well he's going the wrong way about it!" Matsuda chimed in.

 

"No." Near looked at Matsuda. "God is a figure that condemns wrong-doers. Thats exactly what Kira is doing, but on a harsher level."
Rhyme leaned away. "A God of his own world maybe?"

 

"Mr Matsuda, please stop moving"

Matsuda went red. "Umm, sorry Toshiko"
