"To pass judgement on others and letting those he or she deems right to live." Near sat and thought. "A perfect world..."

 

"Don't get into his mind too far Near, we wouldn't want you to end up as Kira now would we?"

 

"To defeat Kira, one of use has to act like him." Near smirked slightly. "A world full of good people. No wrongs. Just rights."
"Please stop it Near." Rhyme said, watching him.
Near looked at Rhyme then nodded. "Okay then."

 

"Now that we have a basic plan, we should show you around HQ" L swiveled around in his chair. "Watari-San , please show Near and Rhyme to their accomodation"

 

Rhyme stood up, smiling at Watari.
Near stood up too, looking down. He was thinking about Kira.

 

Light stops tickling Misa, and laughs at Ryuk. "There's more apples in the kitchen."
Misa suddenly kisses Light on the lips. "Sorry i don't know what came over me" She blushes as well as Light.

 

"This way please"Watari walked off in the direction of an elevator.

 

OOC: I edited their names. Rhyme is called Hotaru Kagami and Near is called Lucas Haine.

Rhyme followed after Watari with Near in tow.
"Wait." Near stopped and turned to look at L. "I just thought of something."

 

L looked up through his dark bangs. "Yes, Near-Kun?"

 

Rem watched Misa.

OOC: ...that's all I can come up with..

 

"We know that Kira kills apparent bad people like criminals and such. We also know that he or she possibly has a plan to make himself/herself a new world where he or she is the God." Near pointed out. "We don't know were Kira is and we don't know WHO Kira is either."

 

"Isn't that the basis of you plan Near-Kun, to find out his were-abouts?"

 

"That is one. The other is to get closer to Kira." Near moved some hair from his face. "If Kira is simply a college student then maybe he has dreams on making this world an apparent 'better place'. Ryuzaki, if its not too much to ask, I believe that you could be around the same age as Kira."

 

"That is a scary thought, but it is very probable none-the-less. Also who is to say that I myself am not Kira?, Being L and Kira at the same time would be his or her best position, don't you agree?" He smiled.

 

Rhyme blinked, turning to look at L. "B-But you CAN'T be Kira, Ryuzaki! I KNOW you would never kill anyone like Kira is!"
"Yes, but back at the orphanage, he called himself a monster." Near said.
Rhyme looked at Near. "Huh?"
"He said it himself. 'What am I scared of? Monsters, I guess. Monsters who live like humans, yet never have any thrill. Monsters who eat, yet never have hunger. Monsters that gain knowledge without even knowing intelligence. Monsters that want friends yet cannot love. Monsters who lie at ease. I too, am one of those Monsters'." He recited.

 

"Your memory is as good as it always was Near-Kun, yes I did say that, what I'm saying is that Kira's ideal posistion would to also be L at the same time, that way nobody would suspect him and if the investigation came to close to discovering him, he could just say they were making no progress and change the focus of the case" L Placed 3 more Sugar cubes into his coffee and stirred it , holding the spoon in the ends of his fingers.

 

"B-But Ryuzaki...." Rhyme's face screwed up, looking like she was about to cry.
"Rhyme." Near said, not looking away from L.
"Y-Yes?" Rhyme looked at Near.
"Currently, Kira could be anyone. I could be Kira. Matsuda could be Kira but covered it up entirely during Ryuzaki's tests. We're all suspects and Ryuzaki is no exception." He turned away, walking on. "Lets go."
Rhyme blinked then waved slightly to everyone before being dragged away by Near.

 

"Aizawa-San, please check for anymore deaths in the past hour or so and would you please research how they were reported in the media"

The man named Aizawa nodded and sat down at a computer screen.

Toshiko looked from her drawing to Matsuda.

 

Rhyme watched Near, frowning slightly. "How can you think like that about Ryuzaki?"

 

"Are you done yet?"Matsuda asked quietly.

"Not yet" Toshiko replied blankly.

Matsuda sighed.


Watari led them down a hall and handed them a pass card each.
