Cloud just laughed a bit at that response.

 

Aerith smiled at him.

 

Cloud stared at Aerith with his green mako eyes.

 

"Cloud..... were you in SOLDIER?"

 

"Yeah...why?" He asked her.

 

"The unusual glow in your eyes."

 

"That's the sign of those who have been infused with Mako... A mark of SOLDIER." CLoud explained briefly but his eyebrow raised a bit.

"But, how did you know about that?" He asked her.

 

"Oh, nothing!"

 

"...Nothing?" Cloud asked her.

 

"Right, nothing! Come on, let's go! Bodyguard!"

 

Cloud decided to shrug it off and leapt arcoss the rooftops but slower and soon, he leapt down a hill of rubbish and on the dirt path as he turned around

 

Aerith followed and smiled. "Whew! Finally made it off! Now what..."

 

Cloud had no idea where Aerith wanted to go.

 

Aerith smiled, "My house is over here. Let's hurry before they get here!" She led him to her house in Sector 5.

 

Cloud just let Aerith just guide him to her.

 

Once they reached her home, Aerith shouted to her mother, "I'm home, mom." A kind older woman appeared and smiled.

 

Cloud stepped inside as he took a quick glance at his surroundings.

 

"This is Cloud, my bodyguard." Aerith introduced him to her mother, her mother gasped, knowing what that meant.

 

Cloud looked at the mother and then to Aerith. "Well, I ought to get going, I need to find a way back to Sector 7." Cloud announced.

 

Aerith immediately decided she would guide Cloud to Sector 6 and left to prepare his room for the night. Elmyra sighed.
