Doing the race 99 times and the fight 99 times really was beneficial to the game too, if you wanted to waste your time doing so. The potions were a big save on munny later on so that you could afford to suit up your characters with all the gadgets and weaponry easily. Also, the pretty stones he had were worth it too because they were worth 30 munny each which gave you 2790 munny to begin with. The other cool thing was that the events raised your level and tech points early on. The game really was a lot easier if you wasted time on DI first doing that.

I'm not sure if I beat him on my very first try (don't think I did) but when I go back to replay it for fun, I usually win. =) And I don't think it's a typo. They were doing it to see who would get to name the raft. The true prize was 'just a name'. I don't think he was supposed to say 'just a game', but maybe I'm wrong.

I heard someone got to level 100 on Destiny Islands not too long ago... 0.o

Lol, 2970... not 2790... but spending a while on the DI is ALWAYS helpful...

    I'm dyslexic...and -always- get that backwards. Yes, 2970...30*99=2970...I can do math...rawr. =:(

I lost against him the first time because I didn't know about the falling dock but after I knew about it, I beat him easily.

Yes, I have. I almost always beat Riku in everything. And no, that's not a typo, they spelled it correctly.

Yeah, the 'Take it easy. It's just a name" is correct because Riku was referring to what they were racing on, which was about naming the raft. Sora was all 'Whoo-hoo!' and being really elated about it.

Also, off topic but I so want to know where that Link dancing thing in your sig comes from and want to see the actual video. It's a growing curiosity because it looks amusing.

Sora IS very energetic about a lot of things lol

And about the clip, a friend of mine showed it to me a while back... don't remember where it was though... something about Twilight Princess, though...

I've never managed to beat Riku on the first race, which is of course the important one (*Rolls eyes*), or in a fight on Destiny Islands. Tips for racing him though are: remember that part of the brigde falls in the beginning of the race, use the zipline, or Riku will, it's the fastest way down, even with the time it takes to climb the ladder, come back across the treetops (that's the fastest line I know of), and try not to lose your composure, because you'll definitely lose then. ^^

Meh, I don't bother with the bridge OR the flying fox... and I STILL win EVERY time...
