Chain of Memories Did Castle Oblivion get destroyed?

or did it just get abandoned

 

I think it was only abandoned there is no evidence of it getting destroyed.

 

I think that Riku clone still lives in it.

 

But isn't the Riku clone still slumped against that flowerpot or whatever with its heart broken? I don't think it got up...

 

I can imagine Riku having his own castle and acting like it's his fort.

 

Actually, Riku killed the Replica in Twilight Town just before entering the Haunted Mansion. Though he didn't get killed in the manga. They kept him alive for the comic with him and the Vexen replicas (That was funny)

Yeah, whatever DID happen to the Riku Replica? I loved him! It was so sad how he wasn't even real...*starts to cry*

I seriously doubt that it was destroyed, I some how think that maybe in a later game they'll take Sora back there to regain his memories of his time there to help him defeat some new ultimate bad guy or something like that anyway.

And seeing as there's nothing to say it was destroyed it's fairly safe to assume it wasn't. I don't see Square destroying something so key to a plotline for no apparent reason, it wouldn't help the plot at all really.

Yeah I have the manga too.But yeah I really think it was abandoned,don't know why,maybe they needed a bigger castle.Oh well,they got a new place,plain and simple.Believe it!

 

No it was not destroyed, for it seems to me that Castle Oblivion was a secret stronghold for Organization XIII where it was found in the World That Never Was either behind the floating castle in the World That Never Was or in another part. I remember that before Sora entered Castle Oblivion, there was green fog behind it followed by darkness and light and some sort of force preventing Sora from going further. Perhaps both castles were found in the same world, but they both belonged to Organization XIII.

 

No it was not. Sora just locked the top floor and was put into the pod. The pod was moved to Twilight Town and then Sora woke up. I don't think it was destroyed unless Ansem the Wise chose to out of his little fit of revenge.

 

Ansem doesn't seem like the revenging type and how would he havr destroyed the mansion?

 

He could have tried to convert it into data like he tried to convert the hearts the Organization had collected into data.

It was never abandoned. Perhaps they still use it when they feel they need for it. It was their second head quarters until they moved to the new one which is the one we know as Castle that Never Was or something like that.
