I found it sad. I didn't cry, but I did feel very sorry for Sora, Kairi, and Riku, that must've been a very hard time for the three of them. They just get back together after a long journey and WHAM they have to separate again.

It was a somewhat of a sad ending, but I think the saddest part was when Sora released his (and Kairi's) heart, to save kairi. When I first played it I cried because I thought Sora wasn't coming back.

Same. I didn't think the ending was sad I thought it was a bit dramatic to be honest. I wasn't sad. I was a bit pissed at the fact that instead of just jumping she had to slightly fall and act shocked. I mean, the gap was a foot wide at the beginning.

It was more important for him to find his best friend for life than stay with Kairi, duh.

The fact that Sora was not going back to Destiny Islands at that point of time and Riku being closed behind the door of Kingdom Hearts was sad to me :cryinganime:, not because Kairi was going to be alone (which she wasn't anyway so...). I'm kinda tough on :guns: Kairi and I really don't care about her really so the only reason I almost cried was for those reasons above ;).

It was sort of sad. Not just what was happening, but knowing it was over.
Knowing that after that their would be no more scences to watch in the first Kingdom Hearts eventually and knowing that was the final scene just sort of added a final sadness upon it.
Of course, that was until KH2 came out. xD

No, I didn't. not too much anyway.
    Maybe it's because I was 15 when I played it (only a bit younger I know ;_; )
But no, it didn't make me feel sad at all.
