Different Styles of fighting.

I noticed lately that in all the games, but espesically this one, Riku and Sora each have a different style of fighting.Riku uses his sword more in one hand, but Sora normally holds his sword/keyblade in both hands. Which style is most like you? Riku's, or Sora's?I'm rikus.

 

I'd say more of Sora's style, since I'd feel more comfortable using two hands.

I"d be more comfortable fighting with Sora's style. I might drop my weapon if I use one hand. xD

 

I'd be better off using Riku's style with the kind of swords I'd like to use....

 

I dont exactly know so I'd say both depends how heavy the thing is that I'm holding.

 

I don't fight like either of them...I tried and I lose.

But I do fight one-handed, unless I'm really going for strength, then I do it two-handed.

Lol, this is kinda funny because my school made this club where they sword-fight, and they had a "commercial" asking people to join, where they showed off their "moves." Anyhow, they really sucked, and I mentioned that I should go and show them how to really fight.

Everybody looked at me weird.

And now, here I am, telling everyone how I fight.

 

Well, I'm more comfortable with Riku's style, its the type I learned and used at my martial arts studio. But it also depends on how many weapons I'm using, Riku's for one sword but Sora's for two.

 

Sora = Western Style

Riku = Eastern Style

Riku just looks better. Sora's style is easier to learn.

 

I use a mixture, I swap hands a lot too. I depends what I'm up against, if it's a more fencing style then I'll use Riku's way, if it defence I'll use Sora's style but if it's attack again I'll use Riku's.

 

I would use riku's even if the thing was a little heavy.

 

Thinking about it, it would be a lot easier to maneuver your blade if you were using one hand, but you'd risk losing it that way...They both have their ups and downs =/ as for me, I'm not sure...I think I would just use one hand, but it would probably just depend on the wieight of the weapon...

 

ifs its a light wepones 1 hand so i can swing fast ifs its a little bigger i use both hand but netheir way i would win the fight

 

i would go for riku's style but if i'm using a new sword which is a completely different weight i would go for sora's

 

I would use Riku's style if I had a second weapon, or a shield. Otherwise, ******* STYLE! Best of both worlds.

OMG! Editor picked that up? Its the actual name of the style of holding a sword! It starts with a B and ends with a D.

Riku's blade is held up and above the head which gives him an advantage of already being prepared to swing. However, it leaves his front wide open.

Sora's Keyblade is held off to the side. He's hunched over with both hands gripping the weapon. This keeps his front from being fully exposed. However, it makes him a more condensed target since his body is tucked in more. It exposes his back.

And this has nothing to do with anything, but Kairi's fighting style is a bit too vulnerable. Her body position is like she's in a tennis match. Her entire body is exposed to damage, unless her reactions are fast enough to parry or block.

So, I'd use Riku's if I'm confident enough. Sora's if I need more defense.

I think it depends a great deal upon the type of sword being used, but most likely I would fight using Sora's style. In Sora's, with two hands, there seems to be a bit more control over the weapon.

 

If i had a keyblade, though, I'd use Sora's. Basicly, when I use kendo/katana style blades, i use riku, but regular swords like the ones sora and riku played with when they were little, I'd use Soras, only maybe a simplified version because its small.

 

Doesn't Sora's style change based upon his Form though? And why no mention of the King in this poll?
