To be honest, we could basically ignore the plot at that point and still make it enjoyable. Watch None Piece, makes little to no reference about the original plot but is exceedingly entertaining.

Got any input for story, pass them on.

 

Uhh, One Piece? And you're right about that. I mean, how many arcs have we gone through, with them only really mentioning what the whole plot is?

 

The abridged series is called 'None Piece'. Look it up.
They've gone through enough, I suppose. The crazier the better the writing material.

A trigger can be seen as something would trigger emotions in a person or trigger past memories in a persons life that were terrifying for said person
Sometimes you will see posts on some sites that state "trigger warning" which indicates to people that the post my trigger emotions/memories that you would rather not remember/have

When you put in the rough script: "just like when I beat up my sister! [Punches] Domestic abuse punch"
This could trigger a viewer :I

Krowley: Writing or Dubbing?? If you want to be another CO-Writer then Imma have to see some examples of your work (mostly works involving comedies and such, considering this is an abridged series thing we're doing_
and for dubbing, which character would you consider trying out for??

 

Oh right, that makes sense.
However it kinda limits the jokes and whatnot the writer(s) can implement into it.

 

I've seen abridgers put 'triggers' as you say, in their work on a number of occasions. Actually now that I think about it, LittleKuriboh uses a similar joke about child abuse in his Naruto Abridged series.

To be honest, there were much worse things that I thought of during the writing, but I knew I had to limit myself in that sense. Also, you never specified a restriction in the writing, and as a writer I would prefer free reign over my own work.
I understand if a joke is debatable of being funny or crossing an offensive threshold, but no actual domestic abuse actually occurs, it only mentions it or refers to it. I doubt that any more then maybe a handful of people could even find it offensive. Then again, trolls do surprise me.

I won't even need to mention it again really, I thought that I might continue on with a theme of Marcus' relationship with his sister where he is actually the one being 'beaten up' by his sister by her threats and so forth, a role reversal. But whether that's appropriate or not...

I never noticed any of the triggers in YGOTAS and other abridged series, mainly because I only notice things like that when actually reading

I understand that. If it sounds wrong when being recorded then it's not being said right. However if it does sound wrong out loud, then obviously that's a case to think about when we get to it.
