Personally, I believe that the only reason why Xemnas reached out with his left arm when he was dying was just to add cinematic effect. It was used to express the everlasting will of Xemnas. Xemnas was merely "clinging to life."

    Unrelated to the above.

In the secret ending, there is a scene at the last quarter of the video that shows Terra's eyes turning yellow.

I played through a certain part of re:com, and checked the site for translation, in this scene, Axel and Larxene (First appearance) are having a conversation. In the conversation larxene asks axel why he is so interested in sora, and he answers that sora had turned into a heartless, but had retained free will. He is the Second to do this.

Since this happens to another person, I belive that Terra is a possibility, mainly because of his eye's changing color (Color of a heartless's eyes). Keep in mind that the secret ending takes places around the time of the Castle Oblivion Part of the series,Allowing Axel's stament to possibly be relavent to Terra. I also noticed the enemy in the ending (The bald one) has this eye color throughout the vid.

    Speculation

    A. I believe when Terra is in stress,or is angry, he gives in to the darkness bit, so his eyes change into the color of a heartless's eyes

B.This causes him to recieve capabilitys beyond his normal fighting capacity, or else become less human in a wa that his attacks are ruthless, or more "heartless" toward the enemy. This much is pure speculation, and in no way seen in the secret ending.

    C. Since their opponent (the bald one) has this color of eyes throughout the movie, he is already using this capability, I don't know maybe it allows him to summon that other blader that he fights with, maybe it allows the use of all of the keyblades that lay without masters (Or else this is plain magic), and maybe this is his natural eye color.

    D. Maybe they react to being close to kingdom hearts in a strange way.

    Reason

Terra and the strange opponent are in some way related ( Not in terms of family, but capabilty and powers.)

Please comment on weather these are reasonable or not.

    Thanks.

How can you be so sure that Sunset Horizons and Birth by Sleep take place while Sora's in Castle Oblivion ?

Other than that your theory is reasonable and interesting : the yellow eyes are probably linked to darkness, and thus to the heartless, so it's possible Terra gave in to darkness and became a heartless.

However, about Axel's statement...Sora became a Heartless in KH1 and retained free will, that we know, since we could still control him while he was a heartless. But we already knew, at the time, another person who was a Heartless and kept his free will : Xehanort's Heartless. He is the only heartless who seemed capable of thought and plan, the only one who retained his reason and intellect. Sora, on the other hand, seemed to act out of instinct, thanks to the strength of his heart : an instinct different from the usual heartless instinct (instead of trying to drag more hearts int darkness, he sought Kairi), but an instinct nonetheless.

Yeah, Kanji I think your right again.

So what do you guys think of the name for that desert. The Gathering Place.

But I wonder what secret ending comes first...Sunset Horizons or Birth by Sleep. I'm kinda open to the idea that the battle came first, I mean there WAS a sandstorm blowing which could hide the cliffs Baldy made, or maybe they happened right after the other....I don't know...

You have all your names right and to make a video just download clips from this site and get a program like Vegas or Windows Movie Maker and start editing

    To Kanji's reply.

Thanks for your insight, I really apreaciate that, but the secret ending took place at this point, it was confirmed. Ill find the article when I get the chance. But I never belived he had refered to xehonarts heartless, although this is the practicle choice due to his hearts strength, but in any case, I would have thought Axel was refering to another, who had turned into a heartless, but had returened from that state by will and heart alone, but possibly retaining certain aspects of the darkness. Sora in KH2 in anti form is an example (even if it is action replay.)

His instinct being the reason he did not attack more hearts but continue to follow his friends is an interesting theory, but I believe what was left of his heart/soul was forcing the dark shell on to them, while Kairis voice, awakened him, it was his light, his path from the darkness.

(P.S.: By logic, "birth by sleep". I belive this ocurs while Sora is dormant.)

Hmmm...That's very interesting, speculating that Birth By Sleep came before Sunset Horizons. Not the first thought that comes to mind, but it's quite possible. I've noticed before that in Sunset, they each pick up another Keyblade, but in Birth, the Keyblades that they picked up are gone without an explanation. This could be because they don't take place right after eachother (Sunset-Birth). Also, Sunset seems to take place after a battle (not sure how long after though), since there are the remnants of a monster, which bears a striking reslemblance to Xemnas' Nobody Dragon from the final battle sequence.

One weird thing is that Terra is standing on top of the Dragon, completely motionless. Then, there's a flash of light, and we see a copy of him sliding into Terra. When they combine, Terra begins to move again. Could the three have been frozen, and then recently brought back? Or could that have been Terra's soul sliding back into him (in regaurds to the Dis-Soul theory, perhaps)?

There are a few subtleties that lead me to believe that Nomura wanted us to believe that Sunset came first, while still being true to the facts. One thing is in the Birth by Sleep video, you don't see a good veiw of the ground at the beginning. The keyblades form a crossroads (similar to the one in the meadow from Chain of Memories) in Sunset Horizons, however, in Birth, the angle only allows us to veiw a "runway of Keyblades," if you will. This IMPLIES that the crossroad is there, but we cannot know for sure if it is still there. Soon after the battle begins, "Baldy" summons the Keyblades, so if it was still in the shape of a crossroad, there would be no way to prove it.

Another thing that I'm suspicious about is Ven's Keyblade. We know that it is destroyed in Birth by Sleep, so how could he still have it in Sunset Horizons? In the first secret ending, it is incredibly difficult to see the Keyblade that Ven is wielding, especially since he holds the Keyblade backwards(the end of the blade behind him). You can see about half of it in one shot, and it looks like it is, or at least resembles the Keyblade he uses in Birth by Sleep. It is possible that it was repaired, or it could be a different Keyblade altogether. What makes me suspicous is the way he holds it. Maybe the only reason for this stance is so we can't easily see what Keyblade he uses.

Also, the person approaching the three in Sunset Horizons doesn't look the same as the one in Birth by Sleep. In Sunset, the silhouetted figure has a hood on, is wearing looser clothing, and has a more slender build than than "Baldy." This leads me to believe it is one of the Organization members. It is most likely, either Xigbar, since he let on that he saw the Keyblade Wars, or Xemnas, because we know that he somehow knows the three Knights.

See what you think about that for now, review the two Secret Endings, and give me feedback. These may not be valid points, but they're at least worth discussing.

I believe that key blades can rematerialize after destroyed, or possibly repaired.

P.S. okay, Ill put the endingd side by side for this.

I believe it was an Organization member too. Just because you see him walking (limping after watching it again maybe) to the knights doesn't mean he wont stop and keep walking

What stinks about this scene is that its totally new to us. We've seen a keyblade stolen but never broken so we don't know. It could be possible that it can only be destroyed by a wielder (Baldy) but again we don't know cause nobody we know in KH1 & 2 has gotten to the point of breakage.

*sigh* I've been gone for a long time. I've read all of the posts. All of which I don't want to bother commenting on. Don't get me wrong, I'm just lazy. And I know, lazyness doesn't get you anywhere blah etc.

I want to bring something new to the table that hasn't been thought out very well based on the leniency you'll probably see.

Terra's eyes (I know, not new, but keep reading), the concept that there are three beings; Nobody, Heartless, Unknown (maybe memories).

The series has been adding on. KH1, Final Mix, CoM, KH2, FM+/re:CoM. The story has been growing it has been added on to.

My semi-stupid point is that let's add Heartless and Nobody and what do we get. Heartless + Nobody = ???

    Or

There was Diz, he adds heartless, then the Organization added tot he story, thus nobodies, we added more to that, now there are chasers.

The "equation", if you will, changes to Heartless + Nobody + Chaser = ???

But that's getting a bit ahead of myeslf, isn't it...

If any of that makes sense... yay for you.

Heartless + Nobody = Complete original being

That's the logical outcome, since a normal being is composed of a heart, a mind and a body ; when the heart is swallowed by the darkness, it becomes a heartless, and the body and mind are cast away to form a Nobody.

If Chasers are indeed beings made from another lost part of the original being, let's say memories, the equation does not change. It simply means that if a normal being loses his memories, then is turned into a heartless, then you'll need all three resulting beings to reform the original.

Completly plausible, but what about the soul, this is something that may have great importance in the next game.

P.S. : I want to say that the three heroes are POSSSIBLY related to each other. ( What are the odds that they all have blue eyes, honestly. Sora, ven, and roxas all have the same collored eyes. If Sora is both the Heartless and the original, and Roxas is the nobody, then is Ven possibly related to the Dis-Soul theory ?

The word dis-soul is seen in the secret ending vid in japanese.

They meant the secret video. I've encountered this exact same problem on every forum. Let me explain, THERE IS NO SECRET ENDING, ONLY A SECRET VIDEO, SO CALL IT A SECRET VIDEO!

ahem *points up* The thread is called Discussion of the Secret Ending. Everybody, excluding apparently the two people above me, calls it the secret ending because its the unlockable movie following the ending. If you've unlocked the secret, that is how the game ends. Yes, it is a secret ending. And also a secret movie, and a secret video. Call it what you will. I say toe-mae-toe, you say toe-mah-toe. Whoop-dee-doo. Lets get back to discussing the movie itself.

ok, just thought of this and you guys can totally bust it if you want.

What if Sora wasn't the being. Maybe Terra was the original...For all we know Terra is the soul (explaining the two Terras into one deal in #1) Sora is the heart (cause he lost one) and Roxas is the body (he merged with Sora making himself a true being). Chasers could be people who hunt down 'fakes' like Sora who is only a heart that created or found a body. The only reason Terra didn't kill Sora was because he had a heart and a body creating a being...

ok, now that i see it. it doesnt make sense....But...

P.S. Does anyone agree with me that the shadowy dude in Sunset Horizons looks like hes limping?

Edit: Last being has most likely been proven by this. Just read Ansem Report 4. It says a body, heart, and SOUL creates a living being
