Do you think Riku will fight Sora again?

By that, I mean Riku turning back into an enemy. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen. Riku still has darkness in his heart, not necessarily Ansem SoD, but still is there.

 

There has always been some sort of Sora vs. Riku fight in all the KH games. In KH3D it would most likely be as a final mark of mastery test just like Aqua and Terra did.

 

I guess it would be possible since there is still darkness in his heart.

However, I also think that the friendship bond between Sora, Riku, and Kairi is too strong for him to return to the dark side.

Lets say like when the mark of mastery happens, Riku loses because of the darkness in his heart. And then some kind of form of darkness and/or Xehanort tempts him with more darkness to be stronger.

 

That's BBS with Aqua and Terra and Xehanort. I really doubt they'll use that same plot.

And Riku lost his darkness at the end of KH2, if I recall correctly. And Riku hasn't fought Sora in every game. BBS (of course) didn't have him as an enemy. KH1 did. CoM had Repliku, not the real Riku. Days had Riku fight Roxas, not Sora, and those were with good intentions, nothing to do with Riku being a bad guy. KH2 had Riku helping Sora. Coded didn't have Riku as an enemy.

So Riku fought Sora in one game out all of them. He was a boss in Days, though he wasn't a bad guy and it wasn't Sora he fought.

Now do I think Riku will fight Sora again? It's possible and would be a good plotpoint to have Riku fall back into darkness after all of the trouble he's gone through to get out of it.

 

Well, I hadn't thought of this. It's quite the possibility.

The problem with Riku's darkness is that it's his own now, meaning that whatever was left of Ansem SoD's prescence was destroyed when AtW's machine exploded.

The most likely scenario of this happening would be for the Mark of Mastery exam, but, as has been said, there's always been a form of a Sora and Riku fight in each KH game (Roxas vs Riku, Sora vs Repliku, Sora vs Data Riku controlled by Pete, etc.).

 

Well with Xeanhort coming back it could be possible, he may be able to unlock all the darkness in Riku, but then if they get Terra back(I sorta doubt that) or Aqua, then they could help Riku a bit, ya? But he should have it pretty under controlled, perhaps he could use it to his advantage?

 

Kinda what everyone is saying. I think Sora and Riku will fight each other again indirectly in the mark of mastery test. And when Xehanort returns, I would like to see him try and possess Riku again. Or maybe he'll make a dark version of him, like Ven and Vanitas. That would be pretty cool.

 

I don't think but, we're talking about Nomura's project, I won't be suprise for anything coming from him.
Now my complete answer:
No, I don't think. Sora and Riku have a strong bond. I think it's so strong to the darkness take him again. He doesn't belongs to the Dark Realm anymore, after all.
But I can imagine something like Riku vs Sora in Re: Coded style again...

 

Nah dont thinks so, maybe for mark of mastery but i dont think riku will turn to the darkness again.

 

It should be noted that Riku still has darkness. What Mickey said was "You don't belong to the dark realm any more" Riku had made himself a denizen of the darkness just like DiZ in order to help Sora. But where DiZ was able to come back at will Riku was held back by Ansem SoD. Riku embraces darkness, it just needs to be his own and not Xehanort's. But it is really a non-issue. look at the end of KH2, they don't see darkness itself as a bad thing.

Kinda a toss up to me. There are a lot of Riku fights but it doesn't feel like a KH tradition or anything. I'm sure they could find a ton of ways to pull it off if they want though.

 

This. The tradition isn't Riku vs. Sora. The tradition is some kind of version of Riku vs. Some kind of version of Sora.

 

I believe there would be no such thing as another "fight to the death" type of thing.
They may battle, of course, for the Mark of Mastery.
If not, then they won't be becoming Keyblade Masters.

 

I really can't see them fighting again. I think Riku's become to strong to give into the darkness again, and because of the strong bond he has with Sora, he'll probably stick by Sora's side. At least I hope he will, I'd prefer to see Sora and Riku fight in the same party, like in KH2 but better.

 

I doubt he'll be on the bad side again purposely but i think it's possible he can be controlled like how maleficent did with terra (by the darkness in his heart) and make him fight sora.

 

To be honest, I was never very fond of the idea of Sora and Riku fighting each other, not even when they did in the first Kingdom Hearts. Best friends shouldn't fight, it's terrible. ;~;

I don't doubt that there may be a time where, yes, Sora and Riku will fight each other again. Under what circumstances, I don't know, but hopefully, Riku doesn't give into the darkness, or, in a reverse of events, Sora doesn't become too corrupted by the light.

Will they ever fight? I think so, at least in a sparring way. I could see them fighting if Riku ever loses control of the darkness, but as an important part of the plot, I don't think so, as it wouldn't make too much sense right now. I won't say that for sure, because Riku has been a deuteragonist.

 

Riku overcame the darkness didn't he? It would be impossible for him to turn bad again unless mind control gets to him. I do think he and Sora will fight in KH 3D like when Aqua and Terra did for the Mark of Mastery Exam. However, it is said in order for each to finish it they have to get out of the world of dreams or what ever it was called. Maybe they will be final bosses for each other sense they are both growing stronger and stronger.

 

Even though he overcame the darkness, doesn't mean the darkness has vanished from his heart/makes it impossible for it to take over again, thus leaving the option of him turning open.
