This does not belong under intelligent discussion because the thread title itself lacks knowledge, knowledge of how to spell 'heaven'

In answer to your question, we don't know and can never know until death comes. All you can do is live your life like there is one, becuase if there is and you've lived a good life no purgatory, hell, whatever believe in, for you.

I don't really think that there is a "correct" answer to your question because nobody knows. If you're asking for opinions, I have to say a big maybe. I believe that after life if you were a good guy then something good happens and if you were bad then something bad happens. I don't, however, believe that you HAVE to worship a god, or devote your life to one. Just be a good person....that's all.

Again, no one can make the decision for you as to whether you believe in heaven or not, but I definitely feel that it's there. Not to go off on a tangent or anything, but I was told a true story about a boy that went into a coma and experienced what seems to be heaven and, upon his return, wanted to go back because it was so beautiful. That coupled with my personal faith is what tells me that there is a heaven.

Hmmm I think it also depends on what your idea of Heaven is! I mean I believe in God and I believe in Heaven but my idea of Heaven is completely different to other people views.

Also even though I believe in God I also believe that to different people their faiths and beliefs pave their way, for example Buddhists believe in reincarnation (though how this explains the hugely increasing population I have no idea  so if you're a Buddhist please explain this to me! thanks!).

I think that when you die you go to where your heart is meant to take you, if you believe nothing happens then nothing happens etc!

However I'm a bit concerned that you're worrying about this! Life is meant to be lived, life is for the living so stop worrying about after you're dead and concentrate on enjoying the time you have :D

    wow sorry long post! xx

^ That's a good way to look at it. Life's for living, so have fun with it.

if you wanna know the truth, the bible is correct. everything in it is correct. theres a heaven and a hell. if you commit your life to jesus, then you will go to heaven. pick up a bible and read it. its probably the best book in the world. i do believe in god. if you still have any questions about this, you can always talk to me. but remember, life after death is no joke. pick a side, either burn in hell eternally or live in heaven where everything is possible forever!! but of course you dont have to listen to me. its your choice! :]

Okay so first of all....(This is my theory so beware!!)

    1. no one Knows if there is a Heaven or hell. Some believe some dont

    2. I say: Whatever you believe is true
Because everyone has their own theory's, some people believe in things others dont. I think thats fair and i think it will always be fair
Its unfair when people judge other peoples believes! So dont do that!!

    3. Like my under title says: Only from the heart, can you touch the sky!!

Okay first thing, the Bible was written by human beings before the printing press. Imagine rows of monks rewriting and rewriting the same verses day after day, for their lives. Can you imagine the temptation to change verses to make them more interesting?

I remain unconvinced of heaven or hell, but I've seen too many spirits in my lifetime to know that there must be something.

I believe exactly what xlaydee believes.
Dude, you have know idea how strict the scribes were.
First of all, they were instructed by God what to write.
God first told around 40 prophets to write parts of the Bible.
Like Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Old Testament.
Scribes were very important. They had to go to school for more than 30 years before they started their duties, which included copying word for word the manuscripts the prophets wrote. If they made one mistake, one mispelling, they had to thrown the whole scroll away. They took their time.
Have you ever heard about the Dead Sea Scrolls? They were found almost 50 years ago by a young boy in Israel.
    They are ancient biblical texts.
One of the scrolls was the book of Isaiah.
Some archaeologists tried to match up the current Hebrew book of Isaiah, with the one found in the Dead Sea Scrolls.
    They were almost perfect matches.

I like to think there is a heaven. There's really no harm in beleiving there is. And if there isn't, you can look forward to feeling nothing, perhaps lost in a dream-like state.

The world not really mattering anymore.

thanks roxas noxas. everything that the scribes wrote was by inspiration. nothing was written by man. god used man as a tool. so yes the bible is true and there is heaven and hell.

I believe in God and I also believe in Heaven, but like I said before I think that the right thing for people to believe in is upto them! I believe in God by my own faith I do not need a book to tell em how to live. People should be entitled to beleve in their own Gods and not feel under pressure to believe in someone elses. I also believe in ghosts (I've seen them), I also believe in magic not the cackling witches magic but real magic that you see everyday in other people's eyes and the stars when there's a particularly clear night. Faith and belief is something very personal to the individual. Does Heaven exist? That is for you to decide and for you to choose. Every religion believes it is the right one, so no-one has a right to preach that the only choice is to follow their God or burn. Like I said (and I'm aware I'm repeating myself) I believe in God and Heaven but that is my choice and my belief.

BTW I wasn't having a go there I just wanted to emphasise my point so I wasn't being mean and if I did offend anyone or their faith then I'm sorry :D

I believe in God and all that. But I am not completely sure there is a heaven. There has to be something after life. But life must have a meaning. And maybe that meaning is in or outside of life.

I know this is an old thread, but I'd like to say something.

Any God who judges people based on belief is a horrible, cruel being who is an attention whore. If some omnibenevolent God exists, he would judge based on MORALS, NOT whether you believe in him.

If there is heaven, there is ONE way to get there: help humankind the best you can.

Mirai is correct in an lot of terms, all you can do is be the best person you can be. Unfortunately this varies from religion to religion, look at the suicide bombers.

Well it depends on what heaven you believe in or speaking of.

There's many different kinds depicted in numerous religions. I'm assuming you are speak ing of the Christian heaven.

But to answer your question, it depends. If you are a devout Christian and repent for your sins, chances are you'll go to "Heaven", according to your religion.

Now, onto the topic of 'does it exist' is my kinda discussion. Heaven is entirely interpretational depending on how you feel it should look. There are so many different views on heaven that it can't for sure be said if it exists. YOU as a Christian no doubt do believe in Heaven, therefore if you are kind, repentful of your sins, and pray to God and stay devout to it you will--ACCORDING TO THE RELIGION--go to heaven. However, different religions, such as Judaism and Islam for example, do not always have that same code.

Personally, I just think you rot in the ground. I just don't see the evidence to support heaven/religeion in general. So, lets see how many people call me a sinner. C'mon then, I'm ready.

The only way I would be a christian is if I was an unafilliated christian. That way I wouldn't have to donate money to cult churches for no reason.
