    This is to discuss weather or not the us should continue to use electoral votes/college if you dont know what im talking about then read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Electoral_College
    i want your opinions on the how "fair" they are and weather or not we should continue to use them

    Well to start, I posted a thread about this already.

    Second, I think it should be taken out. It is an outdated system of voting. A canidate needs only to gain control of the more populated states to gain their electoral votes, which makes it easier for and incumbant to gain office again. While other canidates have twice the amount of states, and less the percent.

    oh you did i didn't see it sorry
    and i have to agree with you it was origonaly made because in the time of the founding of our nation it was impossible to get the word out that an election was being held let alone get people to the poles so they made that as a way of getting somewhat of a vote turnout

    this is no longer a problem which means this system is no longer nesisary and needs to be ended

    It worked back then....its just not practical in our system today :\
