A while ago our emergency brake light has been coming on for a short while every now and then while driving despite our emergency brake being disengaged.

Doing some slight researching, it looks like it's also used to indicate low brake fluid. Could this be the culprit or is it just a glitch?

All right, this can be locked.

We took the car in yesterday, and the brake fluid was a little low. Additionally, we only have about 25% left on our front brakes and should get them checked in about three months, but our rear brakes are very good.

This isn't actually too bad considering these are still the original brakes that came with the car when we purchased it in 2001.
