Eh. He still doesnt have that sound. I think he collaborated with 50 cent for a few songs on his new album, since both are going to have "Crack a Bottle" in their new albums. I think if Eminem was going for the more traditional rap feel he wouldn't have gone with 50 cent. Remember a long time ago, 50 cent, Snoop Dogg and some others I'm forgetting were produced by Dr. Dre?

I think Eminem's going back to that.

50's an ok rapper, but Em, 50, and Dre are close so I'm sure they're all on the album together a lot. 50 even referred to the trio as a 3-headed monster because they're three heavy hitters who are all making a sort of come-back in 09.

And also, I'm sort of glad he doesn't have the old sound. Why live in the past when we can advance our sound? Em's may not be the best but look at guys like KiD CuDi and Charles Hamilton and Kanye West when it comes to sound. They've got some of the most unique sounds I've heard from this generation. It's trial and error so not everyone will sound great at first but I'm expecting a lot of good things for Hip-Hop in 09

Every rapper whose come up in the 2000s has tried to advance our sound. Its 2009, almost the end of the first decade of the new millennium. I've gotta be skeptical man.

I guess your right. Havent they all used auto tune though? =/

I dont know, you could be right about eminem coming back and hip-hop getting better but I'll wait and see, lol.

Nothing is wrong with using auto tune.

I love uniqueness, but I'd prefer a song done well over a song made just to sound different.

Unique + Done well = Well fuck yes this song is awesome.

Actually, I don't think I've ever heard Kid Cudi use auto tune. I haven't listened to Charles, so I can't say anything about him. Auto tune may not be completely original, but I think sometimes it can be a hit or miss thing.

Personally, I think 808s & Heartbreak wouldn't have been as good if it wasn't for Kanye using auto tune so much.

Rappers didn't really start trying to advance the sound until like last year IMO
Until then it was "MAKE MONEY MOAR MONEY"

and also, the only one who used Auto-Tune was Kanye. Cudi actually sings his **** and Charles is more like a traditional rapper and he has beats that sound like revamped old school **** sent through a time warp to 2009

I'd say day and night by Cudi is unique and well done :v

he's slacking because he hasn't spit on a mic in about 6 years. You won't have something amazing on your first do, and everyone knows it. He's switching his style up, obviously, and the accents on most of the album if not all btw.

I love all of eminem's songs. He would be so creative in writing them. They would either be absolutely crazy, or they'd tell a part of his life. He rapped about his feelings, his life and about the people that meant the most to him. But he can also be really funny. Remember that song where Michael Jackson sued him? Good times...

Crack a Bottle was pretty cool but the others kinda suck, I agree with you indeed.

His new songs really don't sound good. I only like a couple of his old songs.
