I just finished watching the 26 episode series of "Neon Genesis Evangelion." That is, the original anime, from 1995-1996. Obviously, it's not a complete watch of the series, and I'd rather not go through the ridiculous hassle/cost of finding a DVD for the film (which I've heard has some translation errors anyway,) so I'd like an answer to this: What subgroup has the "best" subtitled upload of "End of Evangelion", in terms of video/audio quality and accurate (read: not completely literal) translation? A simple name of a subgroup to look for would suffice. (also, for anyone who wants to watch "Neon Genesis Evangelion," I recommend the 2D4U encode with subtitles handled by Bloat)
For the video itself I would go with the 10bit version on Bakabt It comes with subs but I'm not sure if those are the best ones. For subs you can try [Bloat], just throw them onto the Bakabt version however I have no idea how the timing and spacing will go so if you have the patience you can adjust that or just work with the Bakabt subs. Alternatively, get the Salender release and mux [Bloat] subs on to them. Not sure about OZC but I like their Palatbor releases so they should be alright.
Thanks, I'll look into this. Nope. Tried about 5 minutes of the English dub on the anime. Needless to say I stuck with the subtitles.
Did you watch the directors cut versions of the final few episodes? My friend who first told me to watch eva told me to watch those along with the series and to skip the last episode and replace it with end of evangelion he said it would make more sense to me In the end, that final episode though was Idek what to say.
