Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Kairi felt the snowball impact her lower leg, hitting the top of her boots. She bent down and turned around quickly once she had some snow in her hands, chucking it as Roxas. She wasn't going to show him any mercy. He wanted a fight? She was going to give him one.

Roxas lifted a hand in time to block the snow from hitting his face. However, it shattered against his hand and fell into pieces, so Kairi's attempt to hit him hadn't gone to waste. Regardless, the boy grabbed some more snow and threw it toward the redhead. "Take that!" he cried, his voice showing some humor.

 

Sora looked up, seeing a branch hanging directly above Namine's head. That wasn't important, though, unless it was covered with a ton of snow that could fall at a moment's notice. Thankfully for him, there was a thick layer of snow on the branch. He positioned himself so that his shoulder could ram the tree, the brunet grunting softly when he pushed himself to the side and took a few steps, his shoulder hitting the tree hard.

Namine spun around at the grunt, her eyes wide when she noticed the tree shaking faintly. Her sky blue eyes wandered upward to the branch above her and she yelped, a ton of snow falling down on her before she could do anything besides shutting her eyes.

 

Kairi ducked away from the snowball, but what she didn't know was that Roxas had grabbed another one and threw it right after the other. She barely had time to see it when she stood up straight again, the girl turning quickly to try and dodge the snow. However, it hit her shoulder and she immediately felt the coldness in her hair and on her neck.

Roxas laughed from where he stood a few yards away, not paying attention to the people that walked by and smiled at the four teens' playful banter and war. For once, Roxas wasn't thinking about anything; he was just having fun. That was something he was grateful for.

 

Namine fell onto her bottom, the snow covering the top of her head, her shoulders, and her legs. Wow, that's cold, she thought, shivering when she shook her head and some snow fell off.

Sora scooped up some more snow, forming a quick snowball in his grasp before he moved forward, standing in front of Namine with a playful smirk on his lips. "You're covered in snow," he pointed out, saying what was obvious.

Namine looked up at him, eyes wide when she noticed the snowball in his hand. "Oh, come on!" she whined, glancing down at her snow-covered body. Hadn't Sora gotten enough revenge?! She had hit him with one or two snowballs, but he had hit her a lot more than that.

 

"Roxas!" Kairi called, half-scolding and half-whining. She brought a hand up and brushed the snow away from her neck and out of her hair, looking up at him as he laughed at her.

Roxas had a hand on his stomach as he laughed, but once he saw the look in Kairi's eyes, his laughter began to fade. Yep. He was in for it.

 

Sora took a step closer, a smirk still on his lips. "Sorry Namine, but this is too fun to stop!" He took another step closer, holding out the snow so that he could drop it on top of her blond hair, which was already wet and covered in snow.

Namine's eyes widened as she reached down, scooping up some snow and then throwing it up into Sora's face. When she hit him and he stepped back, she did the same thing again, the snow impacting him in the chest and forcing him to take another few steps back. Yes!

 

Kairi smirked at Roxas and didn't hesitate walking toward him, motioning with her hand for him to come to her. "Come here, Roxas," she said, and she wanted to laugh when she saw the blond's eyes widen.

Roxas shook his head and backed up, putting his hands out in front of him and waving them. "Nuh uh. No way," he said, laughing nervously. He saw that Kairi was still moving in his direction and he tilted his head to the side. "So...how about that truce?"

"Too late!" Kairi cried, bending and picking up snow quickly before chucking it at Roxas. She didn't hesitate scooping up more and continuing the assault. She fought the urge to laugh as Roxas ducked and tried to dodge the attacks. There was no point; he was going down.

 

"That's what you get for covering me in this snow!" Namine cried, throwing yet another snowball at Sora as he backed away. Even though she couldn't get up quickly yet because of the snow, she was doing fine sitting on the cold, wet ground.

Sora brought up his arms, blocking what must have been Namine's fifth snowball. "Hey now!" he said, defensive.

Namine stiffled a giggle, forming another snowball and throwing it at him. "If I have to be cold and wet, then so do you!" She chucked it at him, and even though he dodged it, she went right back to making another snowball out of the pile of snow in her lap.

 

Roxas continued to dodge the snowballs Kairi was chucking at him, though he was doing a poor job at it. "Sora! Control your girl!" he hollered, turning his head to yell over his shoulder. However, he let down his defenses, feeling a snowball impact him in the side of the head. He squeezed his eyes shut at the wet and cold snow, hearing Kairi laugh not too far away.

 

"You control yours!" Sora shouted back, feeling another snowball hit his arm. He lowered it after a moment, seeing Namine forming yet another snowball that she could use against him.

Namine laughed, throwing the snowball as hard as she could. She smirked in pride when it hit Sora's stomach, though she didn't let her pride get the better of her. She kept making snowballs, forming them quickly and throwing them at Sora while he was busy trying to defend himself.

 

Kairi laughed at the scene before her, liking how she and Namine were winning this battle. "Hey! We are not meant to be controlled!" she hollered, putting her hands on her hips after she threw a snowball at Roxas once more. She glared at Sora and then at the blond, but she realized then that she made a mistake at ceasing fire.

Roxas used this little break in the attack to his advantage, the boy running forward and approaching Kairi quickly. He bent and grabbed her, hearing her shriek as he lifted her over his shoulder. He held onto her legs, smiling widely as she hit his back. "I win," he chirped.

"Roxas, put me down!" Kairi said, hitting his back with one of her small fists. She heard the boy only laugh at her attempts, but she didn't give up. "Roxas!"

 

Namine turned around to watch the scene, her eyes wide when she saw the stunt that Roxas pulled. During that time, though, she stopped attacking Sora, and she quickly realized her error.

"Good idea, Roxas," Sora called, rushing forward and bending down. His arm went around Namine's back before he lowered his shoulder, the brunet hoisting her over his shoulder before he rose back to his feet.

"Hey!" Namine cried, protesting and squirming as Sora gripped her legs. "Lemme go!" She hit his back a few times, though he showed no reaction other than laughing.

 

Roxas turned his head a little when he heard his girlfriend scream, and he instantly laughed both in humor and triumph. He knew that the girl he was holding wasn't happy, though, by the way she continued to hit his back and squirm. "Give it up!" he laughed.

"No!" Kairi cried. After a minute of useless hitting and writhing, she turned her head in the direction of her boyfriend and best friend. "Sora!" she whined, though a bit of it was from her playful side. This wasn't fair!

 

Sora laughed, shifting his grip on Namine as he walked over toward Roxas and Kairi. "Sorry, Kai, but there's no way we're giving up this advantage." After the pelting he had just taken from Namine, it seemed fair that he had the upper hand now.

"Roxas?!" Namine cried out, turning her head so that she could see him. Surely he would help her out of this, right?

 

Roxas tightened the grip he had on Kairi's legs when she squirmed, not wanting to drop her. He heard Namine's reply, though, and simply shrugged. "Sorry," he said, smirking as he looked at her. Roxas sent her a small, teasing wink then. He and Sora had the upperhand. There was no way he was giving this up.

 

"Aww, come on!" Namine whined, though her tone showed that she was being playful. She started squirming in Sora's grasp, also hitting his back a few times in an attempt to break free.

Sora laughed, shaking his head. "There's only one way to get out of this," he said, looking slightly over his shoulder at the blond girl he was holding. "Surrender."

 

Kairi gasped, her eyes still on Sora from where she hung over Roxas's shoulder. "We would never," she said, furrowing her eyebrows as she mock-glared at the boy she loved. "Right, Namine?" She switched her gaze to her friend, though it was hard to see her from where she was...and the blonde was. Yeah, they really were at a disadvantage here.

 

"Never," Namine agreed, turning her head so that she could try and see Kairi. It was hard, though, considering that she was being held over Sora's shoulder.

"Hmm..." Sora looked at Kairi over Roxas's shoulder for a moment before he looked to his best friend. "I think they're serious. What should we do now?" He and Roxas would find some way to secure their victory, even if the girls wouldn't surrender.

 

Roxas glanced over at Namine for a moment and then over his shoulder slightly at Kairi. "Well, they can either give up and let us claim the victory, or they can choose to stay like this...and let all the blood rush to their heads," he declared. He looked over at Namine and flashed a big smile her way. Of course, there was one other idea he had in mind.

 

"Or you could set us down," Namine pointed out, her sky blue eyes on Roxas as she batted her eyelashes. She doubted that it would do her any good, but it was the one thing she could think of on a moment's notice.
