Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

"Nuh uh," Roxas said, shaking his head at Namine. That look wasn't going to work this time, even if she did look adorable. He and Sora weren't giving up, and neither were the girls. There was a small problem here, but if they had a small competition, maybe they could even the odds.

 

Sora glanced at Namine, a small smirk on his lips. That was a good effort, but Roxas still wouldn't get her out of this situation. "Any ideas?" he asked, shifting his gaze to his friend a few feet in front of him.

 

"One," Roxas said with a nod, looking over at Sora. "It's kinda silly, though." Building snowmen. That was his idea, and he wasn't sure how his friends would react.

Kairi moved a little, exhaling a breath. This was getting a bit uncomfortable for her, even if it was all fun and games. "What is it?" she asked, encouraging Roxas to continue.

 

Namine felt her head getting heavier and she shifted on Sora's shoulder, the blond uncomfortable. Hurry and say it! she mentally pleading, wishing she could get on her feet and feel like her head didn't weigh a hundred pounds.

 

"Snowman building contest," Roxas finally declared, looking over his shoulder slightly at the redhead that spoke. "Me and Sora against you and Namine." He adjusted his grip on her slightly, making sure he had a hold on her.

Kairi turned her head and looked over at Sora and Namine. Snowman building contest? That would be interesting...and could be a lot of fun.

 

"Sounds good to me," Namine said, nodding slightly. And that was the only way she could get out of surrendering, anyway. "What do you think, Kairi?"

Sora smirked slightly, looking at Roxas and Kairi. It sounded like a fun idea, but...him with Roxas? They didn't always agree when it came to team things. It would be interesting to see how this played out.

 

Kairi nodded slightly, though it felt awkward because of how she was being held. "Okay, but can you put me down now, Roxas?" she asked, agreeing for the sake of her physical state. She could feel her blood pounding in her head, which was beginning to feel heavy.

Roxas nodded, tightening his hold on Kairi as he leaned forward, at the same time lowering her to the ground. Once her feet were touching the snow and he felt her hands on his shoulders, he let go because he knew she was steady.

 

Sora leaned forward, allowing Namine's feet to touch the ground before he released her. He quickly realized that was a mistake though when she brought up a hand and lightly set it on her shoulder, the girl a little unsteady. He set a firm hand on her shoulder to keep her steady, the brunet tilting his head slightly and glancing at Kairi to see if she was having the same problem.

 

Kairi saw Roxas rise up and straighten in front of her, though her vision was swimming. She brought a hand to her head and blinked hard, at the same time feeling Roxas put both hands on her shoulders.

"You alright?" Roxas asked, tilting his head to the side slightly in concern. Maybe they held the girls upside down just a little too long...

Kairi nodded, exhaling a breath softly as her world no longer spun and instead started to steady. "Yeah, I'm fine," she answered, looking at the boy in front of her. When she met his gaze for a few seconds and she didn't sway, Roxas let her go.

 

Sora looked to Namine, setting his other hand on her shoulder as well when she swayed again. He gazed at her with concern, thinking that keeping her over his shoulder so long was a bad idea.

Namine exhaled a breath, a hand to her forehead as she kept her head lowered, her eyes shut. She was very dizzy, but as her blood flow returned to normal, she started feeling better. She opened her eyes after a moment and gave Sora a soft nod, signifying that she was alright.

 

Roxas turned his eyes to Sora and Namine once Kairi could stand on her own, his gaze mainly focusing on his girlfriend. "...Maybe we overdid it just a little bit," he said, bringing a hand to the back of his head sheepishly as his gaze switched to Sora.

Kairi tucked some of her hair behind her ears now that she was standing, happy that her bloodflow was no longer completely in her head. She agreed slightly with Roxas when he spoke, even though it was still funny.

 

Sora released Namine's shoulders after a few moments, feeling that she was steady on her feet. "Maybe we did," Sora said sheepishly, shifting his gaze to Roxas as an awkward smile appeared on his lips. "...Could we give them a head-start on their snowman?"

 

Kairi smiled warmly at her boyfriend, seeing his expression and hearing his tone. "Aww, how sweet of you," she cooed, looking from him to Roxas halfway through her praise. However, she couldn't remember the last time she actually made a snowman, so maybe the head start wouldn't be so bad. Plus, it would be fair...since the guys cheated.

 

Namine smiled, the girl glancing over her shoulder at Sora before she looked toward Roxas and Kairi. "So, what're we trying to do with the snowmen?" she asked. "The biggest one wins? Or the one that looks the best in the end?"

Sora looked to Roxas, hearing Namine's questions. If it was a contest for the biggest one, then he and Roxas would probably win because they were stronger and quicker, but if it was for the best one, then the girls had a fair chance.

 

Roxas shrugged slightly. He hadn't really thought about that. "Um... Best one wins," he declared then, nodding once with his statement. He had a feeling this was going to be interesting, especially since he and Sora were on a team. They usually competed against each other.

 

Namine nodded once, shifting her gaze to Kairi. She motioned to the side a little bit with her head, the blond then starting over towards the tree where the snow had fallen on her earlier. She had noticed a few rocks and twigs on the ground before, so that would help her and Kairi build their snowman.

 

Kairi followed Namine wordlessly, glancing at Sora as she walked away. She smiled at him softly, but at the same time she was ready to compete. She and Namine had a fair chance here, so she was actually excited for this.

 

Sora returned Kairi's soft smile, the teen feeling competitive already. "How long will we give them?" he asked Roxas, turning his head to face the blond. They deserved an advantage to help them, especially if they were still a little dizzy.

Namine stopped by the tree, kneeling down and gathering a few twigs and stones. They would really help them with their snowman, though the girl was wishing that they had a carrot for the snowman's nose.

 

Roxas looked after the girls and then let his eyes rest on Sora. "I dunno," he admitted softly, shrugging a little. "Couple minutes maybe?" He wouldn't give them too long, or else they would finish before the boys even started.

 

"Sounds fair," Sora said with a faint nod. "But we can strategize ahead of time, right?" They could divide up the tasks while the girls got started, and then get started a few minutes after them.
