Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Roxas lifted his brows at Sora at Namine's words. He then smirked. "Cheater," he declared. So that's why Namine's hair was all wet... It made sense now that he actually knew.

"Hey, don't put all the blame on Sora," Kairi said, giving Roxas a look. "You cheated too." She frowned slightly at him, though the amusement was still in her eyes. He'd thrown her over his shoulder, completely catching her off guard. But it had all been in good fun.

 

Sora chuckled lightly, hearing Kairi come to his defense. "I guess there's something else we're good," he said, a grin starting to form on his lips. "Cheating." Of course, it wasn't a big deal in this case; they were all having a good time and laughing over it all.

 

Roxas chuckled, both in agreement and shame. "Yeah, I guess you're right," he admitted, at the same time wrapping his arm around Namine's shoulders. He glanced down at her with a small smile before looking at his friends.

Kairi let her head rest slightly against Sora's shoulder as she looked at her two blonde friends. "Just don't make it a habit, okay?" she requested softly. Her eyes moved from Roxas to Sora halfway through her sentence. Cheating was an ugly word, and so was the act. Of course, she knew this was all in good fun, so she guessed she didn't have to be so serious about it.

 

Namine smiled softly, lightly leaning into Roxas when he wrapped an arm around her shoulders. When Kairi spoke her question, she lifted her eyes to Roxas, waiting to see what kind of response he would make.

Sora turned his head to Kairi, a soft smile on his lips. "Promise," he said, assuring her that he wouldn't cheat again. "Besides, cheating didn't help us in the end, did it?" he asked, shifting his gaze to Roxas. The girls had won in the end, not that he was upset with that. They had played fairly, after all.

 

"Uh...not really, no." Roxas lifted a hand and scratched the back of his head, smiling slightly. They ended up losing, and by a longshot if he were to be honest. The girls definitely triumphed. "But we'll get you next time," Roxas continued, looking down at the girl beside him. "Without cheating." His blue eyes then found the pair identical to them. "Or bickering."

 

Sora chuckled lightly at Roxas's final sentence. "I don't think we could ever get through something without fighting," he said honestly. He and Roxas had a lot of disagreements when it came to building something together or working as a team, so doing an activity without some bickering seemed like something that would never happen.

 

"Unless we're competing against each other," Roxas pointed out. Half the time he lost, mostly because the stuff they usually did was races of some sort, and Sora was always faster. He didn't want to see how fast he'd gotten ever since he returned; Roxas would definitely be eating his dust...or in this case, snow.

 

Sora nodded faintly. "Good point." They never bickered when they were set up against each other, though they did tease and taunt each other. Of course, no matter what they were doing, whether they were working together or not, everything was in good humor.

Namine lightly leaned her head on Roxas's shoulder, a soft smile on her lips as she recalled what had happened last time they had a snowball fight. She had Roxas had been having a moment together, and then Kairi and Sora ambushed them. It was a funny memory, and the blond girl had a hard time believing that the moment had occurred a little over a year ago.

 

Kairi felt her small smile grow at the moment. For once, things seemed normal again. Sora and Roxas were on good terms, they were reminiscing in a way, and they were all together. That was the most important thing right now. It had been a while since they'd all been like this, content and comfortable. Kairi missed it.

 

Sora blinked, coming up with an idea. "...You wanna put your theory to the test?" he asked, referring to Roxas's belief that they wouldn't bicker when they were facing off against each other. They could continue with a snowball fight, if his friends wanted to.

 

Roxas arched an eyebrow, looking at Sora. "If you insist," he agreed, smirking slightly. He was curious as to what Sora had in mind.

Kairi's eyes were set on Roxas, and she could tell by his expression that he was already competitive. She felt herself smile in amusement. She lifted her eyes to Sora to see if he was just as obvious.

 

Sora smirked faintly looking down at the girl who was holding onto him. By the look in his eyes, he was hoping that she would take the hint and release him so that he could bend down and scoop up some snow to throw at Roxas. To help her understand, he loosened his arm around her, his foot running over the snow slightly before stopping.

 

Kairi felt Sora's grip on her loosen slightly, at the same time noticing the look in his eyes. She didn't do anything but let go of him, having an idea of what he was going to do. When her arms were free of Sora, she pulled at her coat, cold.

 

Sora smiled warmly at Kairi before he released her quickly, bending down and scooping up some snow. He formed a snowball in a second and then took a step back, chucking it at Roxas with a smirk on his lips.

 

Roxas's eyes widened, the boy turning away as his grasp on Namine tightened. However, his attempt to dodge the throw failed; he squeezed his eyes shut when he felt it impact the side of his head, the snow spraying everywhere.

Kairi gasped and lifted a hand to cover her mouth as she stifled her laughter. Roxas... The poor blond never saw it coming.

 

Namine's eyes had widened when the threat became more apparent, her eyes squeezing shut as she hid her head in Roxas's shoulder. She heard the snow hit the side of his head, though, so she knew that she wouldn't have been hit.

Sora laughed, bending down and scooping up some more snow. He had caught Roxas off guard, and he was going to use that to his advantage. He chucked another snowball at him, a smirk present on his lips the whole time.

 

Roxas felt another snowball hit him in the shoulder and he quickly squeezed Namine before letting her go, ducking down before another snowball could reach him. He dodge-rolled on the ground, scooping up some snow before he threw it toward Sora.

 

Sora did a back-flip, his hand landing in the snowy ground and helping him push himself off so he landed on his feet. He chuckled and bent down, grabbing some snow and forming a snowball.

Namine took a few steps back, not wanting to get in the way of this snowball fight. It had just started, and the boys were really going at it already. That didn't surprise her, though; they were very competitive.

 

"Show-off!" Roxas said with a laugh, chucking another snowball at his best friend. He saw that Sora was forming one as well, so he prepared himself to dodge it as he remained on one knee in the ground. He could hear Kairi's laughter nearby; he knew then that she had secretly been in on the quick assault Sora pulled. Oh well.

 

Sora laughed, dodging to the side and barely avoiding Roxas's snowball. "Well, we might as well have fun with this!" he said, referring to showing off. Besides, he enjoyed back-flips, so if he the chance to use the move, then he would. He smirked and chucked a snowball at Roxas, forming another one right after that one was out of his grasp.
