Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Roxas lifted his left hand in time to block the snowball, though he felt pieces of it splatter of his form. He laughed and chucked the snowball he had in his hand at Sora. He would have fun, indeed.

 

Sora lowered his head, feeling the snowball impacting his brunet spikes. He lifted his head immediately and threw one snowball at Roxas before he formed another one and chucked it as well. He didn't know how long this battle would last, but he was sure that by the end of it, he and Roxas would both be pretty wet and cold.

 

Roxas somersaulted out of the way, though he did feel one of the snowballs hit his foot. He rolled to his feet, managing to pick up some snow. He quickly formed a ball with it before chucking it in Sora's direction. He didn't wait to see if it hit him, bending down to form another.

 

Sora performed a dodge roll, moving to the side and avoiding Roxas's snowball. Instead of throwing one back, though, he noticed a large tree right by his position. He smirked and slipped behind it, hoping Roxas would be surprised by his disappearance.

 

Roxas stood up straight and brought his arm back to throw the snowball, but stopped when he noticed his target was missing. He looked to Kairi and Namine for an explanation. Where did Sora go?

Kairi shrugged and bit her lip to hide her smile, not giving any hints away. This was Sora's and Roxas's fight; she wasn't getting involved in something so competitive. Plus, she liked to sit back and watch. The boys were always amusing.

 

Namine smiled weakly, not giving any hints to Roxas. The last time she had gone against Sora, she ended up covered in snow. No way was she about to put herself in that position again.

 

Roxas arched an eyebrow, but otherwise crept forward to where his friend had been earlier. He held the snowball tightly in his hand, prepared to throw it if necessary. And he knew it was going to be.

 

About ten minutes later, the snowball fight was over, Sora having tackled Roxas when he found him behind the tree. After that, the brunet had been forced off him and they continued the fight. Now, they both stood up facing each other, panting and done with their competition.

Namine smiled softly, seeing that the boys were done. It had been very amusing to watch, but at the same time, she was eager to get some hot chocolate and be warm again.

 

Kairi giggled slightly at the boys' expressions, still amused. "Alright," she said, linking her hands behind her back as she approached them. "I can't decide on the victor. I think that was a tie." The boys had been at it for quite a few minutes, each giving equal effort. She didn't see one triumph the other.

 

"Agreed," Namine said with a single nod, looking to both of the boys as she followed Kairi's lead. "You guys were evenly matched." It had been fun to see it that way, neither of them triumphing over each other in the end.

"All that work for a tie?!" Sora panted, groaning slightly. He dramatically fell backwards, his back landing on the snow as he laid flat. He was actually pretty tired from that, but he was glad the second fight had occurred; Roxas was fun to compete against.

 

Roxas leaned forward, his hands going on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. A tie? Well, it was a pretty touch "battle", and now that he thought about it, he and Sora never really beat each other completely. He looked ahead of him, to where Sora lay in the snow. The blond only shook his head and chuckled, though it ended as he took in a breath.

Kairi stopped where she was, standing just between Sora and Roxas. She giggled at Sora as she looked at him. "But it was fun, right?" She could tell that even he had a blast; the laughter during the snowball fight was enough to tell her that.

 

"Yeah," Sora said breathlessly, shutting his eyes and leaning it against the snow on the ground. Truthfully, it had been an awesome fight, and he would do it again in a heartbeat if he could. Well, if he had the energy to stand up, anyway.

Namine stopped and stood by Roxas, a smile on her lips at both of the boys. They were tuckered out from their battle, but Namine wasn't surprised about it. After all, everything had been very fast and full of action.

 

Roxas's breathing began to even out, the boy looking to the side at Namine before his eyes found Kairi. Then his gaze rested on Sora. "So, what do you guys wanna do now?" he asked. Truth be told, he was freezing, especially since he was all wet now. And he was tired from the fight he and Sora just had.

Kairi kept her hands linked behind her, the girl shaking her head slightly as she shrugged. She had no clue what they could do, but she did prefer something indoors. They'd been out for a while now, and she could feel her hands becoming more numb the longer she stood outside, as well as her nose and the tips of her ears. She was sure they were the color of her hair by now.

 

"Sleep," Sora said with a soft chuckle, opening his eyes and looking at his friends above and around him. It was partially true; he was tired out from the snowball fights. At the same time, though, he wasn't sleepy. If they did something indoors, then he would have more energy again.

 

Kairi felt herself smile as she walked toward Sora. She stopped next to him, leaning down a little bit to peer at him. "You're still the lazy bum I remember," she said softly, remembering all the times he lay on the ground like this back on the beach at Destiny Islands. Of course, she doubted that he would do that here, in the snow. It was far too cold for that.

Roxas sighed and pushed himself up, standing up straight. "I'm kinda tired too," he admitted, looking from the couple in front of him to the girl beside him. He could tell that it was probably time to go inside too, by the way Namine's nose was all red. It was cute, but at the same time he didn't want her getting sick.

 

Sora smiled sheepishly, gazing up at Kairi. He was being lazy at the moment, but strangely, he was alright with that. He wasn't used to acting this way any more, so it was nice to chill out.

"We could all relax at my house," Namine suggested, looking from Roxas to her two other friends. "Maybe we could meet there in half an hour or so; I bet you guys want to get changed into dry clothes first." She certainly didn't have anything the boys could wear at her home, so they would have to stop at their own houses for dry clothing.

 

Kairi looked at Sora, though she heard what Namine said. She turned her head to gaze at the two blondes, the girl nodding. She wouldn't mind being inside right now. It was getting colder, it seemed.

Roxas looked down at his clothes at Namine's words, seeing that he was covered in snow and his pants were soaked. Yeah, going home first seemed like a good idea to him.

 

Sora nodded slightly, his head still in the snow. "Sounds good," he said, looking up and over at Namine. He was wet, and getting wetter each second he laid in the snow.

Namine smiled softly, glad that Sora and Kairi would come over. It had been a while since they all hung out, so it would be nice to relax with everyone again.

 

Kairi reached forward, offering her hand out to Sora. She gazed down at him, slight amusement still in her eyes. Come on, lazy bum, she thought, smiling slightly. It was time to get up so they could all go home, and then go to Namine's.

 

Sora noticed Kairi's outstretched hand and he couldn't help but smile, the brunet lifting a hand and setting it in hers. His other hand went to the ground, though, since he wasn't about to put any real strain on Kairi's arm.
