Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

"...And you want us to do it now?" Roxas asked then, his eyes moving from one girl to the other. He was actually enjoying the brownies that he finally got a taste of. And now he was being told to cook for that, and with Sora? He really didn't know how this was going to turn out.

 

"Yeah," Namine said with a nod. "It is almost dinner time, after all." She was pretty hungry herself, though she hadn't eaten any brownies yet. And she was sure that the boys were still hungry as well, since they were never actually "full".

 

Roxas turned his gaze to Sora, a defeated look in his expression. He knew that there was no way either of them were going to get out of this. They were cooking dinner, whether they wanted to or not.

Kairi smiled slightly, trying to stifle her laughter. It was obvious--the guys really hadn't expected this turn of events.

 

Sora sighed softly, pushing himself off the loveseat. "I guess we don't have a choice," he said, looking at Roxas. They would make dinner, and hopefully it wouldn't end up too bad. He hadn't cooked in ages, so it was hard to imagine that he could make something edible.

 

Roxas nodded once and pushed himself up from his seat beside Namine. He then looked to her, pointing. "Just remember, you made us," he warned her. If it wasn't a good meal, it wasn't really their fault. They were being forced into this without many cooking skills. If it turned out to be a disaster, at least they tried.

 

Namine smiled, looking around Roxas's finger to see up at his face. "You'll do fine," she assured him. "I have faith in your cooking skills." He had done fine for the dinner he had made her over a month ago, so he could probably pull off that meal again...hopefully.

 

Roxas lowered his arm and sighed, lifting his sight to Sora. Yeah, she had faith in him, but he wasn't very confident in his cooking skills. "Let's go," he told the brunet without much enthusiasm, starting out of the room. He dragged his feet for dramatic effect, glancing back at Namine with big blue eyes. Why did she have to force him into this? All he wanted was some brownies!

 

Sora followed Roxas's example, dragging his feet as he headed for the doorway. He looked down at the ground with sorrow-filled blue eyes, though he wasn't as good as Roxas with the charade.

Namine brought a hand to her lips, stifling a giggle at Roxas's big blue eyes. She almost told him to turn around and forget about it, but she wouldn't allow him to use his "puppy-eyes" on her and win.

 

Roxas hung his head when his puppy-eyes didn't work, the boy leaving the room. He knew Sora was behind him as well, but he wanted to try one more thing. One last attempt at getting out of dinner.

Kairi pressed her lips together, seeing the boys' charade. She felt kind of bad, but they deserved to work for all of their treats. Much like Ty, now that she thought about it. The comparison only made her want to laugh more, but she successfully did not.

 

Namine glanced to Kairi, seeing that her friend was holding back laughter. The blond smiled a little more widely behind her hand, her eyes wandering back to the boys. She was sure that once this meal was done, then the boys wouldn't make such a big deal out of all this. They were just being dramatic, which was funny to watch.

 

Roxas walked out of the room and around the corner, though he turned around just outside in the hall. He saw Sora, but he was still going to try to get Namine to take back this order.

 

Sora arched a brow, seeing Roxas turn around in the direction they came from. What did he have in mind? Was he going to try to get them out of this, or did he forget something? He wasn't sure, so he listened closely, turning his body in the direction of the living room.

 

Roxas put his hands on the corner and poked his head back in the room. His eyes were big and sad, the boy pulling the puppy-eyes once more. He also pocked out his lower lip, his gaze on Namine, which said, Please don't make me.

Kairi couldn't hold it any longer. Roxas's last attempt made her burst into laughter, the girl releasing a few laughs before bringing a hand to her mouth. Nice try, but it wasn't going to work.

 

"Oh, not that!" Namine groaned, giggling at the same time. She turned her head so that she gazed at Ty on her feet, the girl not allowing herself to give into Roxas's pleas. But if he kept looking at her like that, then she didn't know how she would react.

 

Roxas kept up the act, even though he didn't think it was going to work in the end. He turned his eyes to Kairi then, begging her to take away this punishment.

Kairi shook her head, her giggles muffled by her hand. "Don't look at me!" she said, closing her eyes as more giggles left her. Roxas was too much sometimes.

 

Namine smiled, standing up from her seat and looking to Roxas. Ty got off her feet when she was upright, so she moved freely, walking over to the boy in the doorway. She kept her eyes on him, seeing those adorable blue eyes. "Oh Roxas," she said with a sigh, stopping right in front of him.

 

Roxas removed one of his hands from the doorway, bringing it behind him slightly to where Namine couldn't see and giving Sora a thumbs up. Perhaps this would work...

 

Sora smirked, getting excited on the inside. Roxas had probably just saved them from the work! At least, that's what it seemed like...

Namine brought up a hand and set it on Roxas's cheek lightly, the girl leaning her head up a little bit and giving him a peck on the lips before she went back to her previous position. "You two better get busy if we want to eat any time soon," she said with a wink, a smiling forming on her lips. Sorry, Roxas, but you're not getting out of it that easily.

 

Roxas sighed, hanging his head in defeat. "Rats," he muttered, moving his head back and disappearing behind the corner once more. He appreciated the kiss, and it had actually made his cheeks a little rosy, but he still hadn't gotten out of dinner. His attempt failed.

 

Namine laughed softly, her hand coming back down to her side when Roxas disappeared around the corner. She wasn't going to let the boys be lazy, and neither would Kairi. She turned her head to look at her friend, a soft smile on her lips at Roxas's adorable behavior.
