Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

"Then why did you tape us in the first place?" Roxas asked, his voice lower as he tried to shrug off the horrid memory of the picture-phone issue. His eyes stayed on Namine, the boy beginning to feel the effects of her gaze taking him over again, especially with her touch.

 

Namine shrugged lightly, a soft smile appearing on her lips as her thumb ran over Roxas's cheek once. "Can't I capture a memory of my two best guy friends?" she asked innocently. She hadn't meant to capture anything embarrassing in the first place; she had just thought it would be humorous.

 

Roxas frowned slightly, furrowing his eyebrows a little more. "But I was in an apron," he pointed out again. Seriously, that was probably worse than the picture that had been on Sora's phone.

 

Namine lightly ran her finger over Roxas's skin again, the girl giving him another light shrug. "I couldn't have known you two were going to put those on," she assured him softly, still gazing at him with her big blue eyes.

 

"But you had to tape it?" Roxas continued, a glimpse of sadness in his bright eyes. "You probably caught everything we said too, didn't you?" He and Sora had been bickering, and he didn't know how long the girls were spying for. It was possible they caught a gist of what occurred.

 

"What's wrong with capturing your friends on tape?" Namine asked innocently. "It's nice to have memories with your friends written on something other than your heart." Whether it came to photographs or videos, those things could hold precious memories that could be enjoyed better than they could have if they were only a memory in your heart.

 

Roxas sighed softly, looking to his hand that still had a grip on Namine's shoulder strap. He needed to get this tape...but maybe Namine had a point. No. Focus Roxas, he ordered himself. Don't let her do this to you.

 

Namine lightly began to stroke Roxas's cheek again, her smile gentle as she continued to gaze at him. Stop fighting, Roxas, she pleaded mentally. It'll be much easier that way.

 

The gentleness of Namine's gaze drew Roxas's eyes back to her, the boy knowing that he was fighting a battle he couldn't win. So cute, he thought once more. How could he say no to her? It was so difficult.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, otherwise keeping up the act. He was giving in now; she could feel it. The realization tempted her to smile more widely, but she couldn't stop until he surrendered.

 

Roxas stared into Namine's eyes, finding it hard to look away. His grasp on her wrist tightened a little without thought, the other on the bag strap loosening at the same time. Maybe he didn't have to get the tape right now...

 

Namine smiled softly, tilting her head a little bit as she held Roxas's gaze. She didn't know how much longer this would last, but she hoped it would end soon; it was getting cold out, and dark, since it was past dinner time.

 

Roxas released his hold on Namine's backpack and moved his hand to her arm extended toward his face. He smiled slightly at her; he couldn't fight her cuteness anymore.

 

Namine's soft smile widened a little bit, the girl pleasantly surprised that Roxas had actually given in. It had taken a while, but she was convinced that he wouldn't ask her about the camera again.

 

Roxas found himself beginning to forget about the camera and the footage on it as he gazed at Namine. Why does she have to be so pretty? he asked himself, his hold on her wrist moving to grasp on her free hand. He always somehow fell under her spell, like now.

 

Namine took a small step forward, very close to Roxas now. Keeping her hand on his cheek, she gently leaned up, kissing him lightly on the lips with her eyes now closed.

 

Roxas's eyes instantly closed at the gesture, kissing Namine back without thought. Deep down, he knew this was the final touch on her spell. He was hooked, and he didn't really mind.

 

Namine ran her finger over Roxas's cheek once, though she knew that she had successfully distracted him because of how he gently kissed her back. After a few seconds, she gently withdrew, though she still stayed very close and kept her eyes shut.

By this time, Sora and Kairi were out of the treehouse and on the ground, watching what had occurred. The brunet was awestruck; how could Roxas have given in?! They needed that tape?

 

Roxas opened his eyes once their kiss ended, the boy staring lovingly at the girl in front of him. At this rate, he was going to be her puppet in no time.

Kairi linked her hands behind her back as she looked at the couple before her, a delicate smile on her face. Silently, she applauded Namine; she got Roxas to crack. The girl politely looked away, her eyes finding her own boyfriend beside her. She stifled a giggle at his expression, already aware that he was surprised at the turn of events.

 

Namine opened her eyes after a few moments, a soft smile appearing on her lips when she saw the way that Roxas was looking at her. She successfully turned his attention away from the video!

Sora looked over at Kairi, the brunet arching a brow at Kairi's amused expression. "She may have gotten Roxas, but she won't get me," he said softly so his two other friends wouldn't be disturbed. He would get that tape, since Namine's puppy eyes didn't affect him so much.
