Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Kairi kept her head against Sora's shoulder, watching the ending scene of the movie until the credits began to roll. She sighed softly, thinking that it was a very entertaining film. It was filled with good comedy, which she enjoyed.

Roxas breathed in and out evenly, his head leaning against the back cushion and tilted to the side, the boy having fallen asleep during the movie. He had almost made it to the end, but dozed off about twenty minutes before. His hand still held Namine's however, Roxas forgetting to let go, even in his sleep.

 

Unknown to Namine, she wasn't the only one who had fallen asleep during the movie. She had fallen asleep about half-way through, the moving being a little boring to her because she had seen it before. That, and she was already exhausted, so it felt good to give into the tiredness and fall asleep. She kept her head on Roxas's shoulder, the girl comfortable the way she was.

Sora had his head against the back of the couch, the brunet feeling as tired as his two blond friends did. He felt as if he had dozed off at some point in the movie, but now that the credits were rolling, he felt himself coming out of it a little bit.

 

Kairi turned her head to look up at Sora, seeing that he still appeared asleep. She'd seen him doze off earlier, so it was no surprise to her that he was out. But then she looked to the blondes not too far away. They were both asleep too! She was the only one who stayed awake during the movie.

 

Sora tiredly brought his free hand to his face, exhaling a soft breath in tiredness. He didn't like waking up after such a short nap; it left him feeling very groggy and out of it. Regardless, he could hear the credits rolling in the movie, so it was time to wake up.

 

Kairi smiled slightly in amusement, but otherwise turned her sight back to the boy beside her. She caught the movement just a second ago, and looking at him now, she could see Sora was coming out of his sleep.

 

Sora rubbed his eyes lightly, the brunet trying to come out of his sleepiness. At the same time, though, he just wanted to fall back asleep. However, he wouldn't allow himself to do that, since his friends were probably all staring at him since he fell asleep during a comedy. He opened his eyes a crack, looking down at the ground.

 

Kairi's smile grew warm at the sight of Sora being groggy. She hadn't seen him like this since before his mission, so she missed it. And witnessing it now reminded her of how cute she thought he was like this. However, she lowered her eyes, her head still on his shoulder. She wasn't going to stare, especially when he was so vulnerable and sleepy.

 

Sora blinked several times, opening his eyes more fully with each attempt to open them fully. When he finally succeeded in doing that, he looked over at Roxas and Namine, the teen surprised at the sight. They both fell asleep too? He then shifted his gaze to Kairi, who still had her head on his shoulder.

 

Kairi briefly glanced at the couple not far from her and Sora, her eyes lowering to the floor until she felt a gaze on her. The girl knew instantly who it was, sensing the innocence behind the stare. She turned her head and looked up at the boy closest to her, her smile still against her lips as she met his blue eyes.

 

Sora blinked once more, seeing Kairi's soft expression as she looked at him. So beautiful...he thought to himself, still a little sleepy but knowing the thought was true anyway. "I guess we're all a little tired," he said softly, his voice reflecting the tiredness he felt.

 

Kairi's smile grew a little at the words, nodding slightly. "I can see that," she said quietly, not wanting to wake her two blonde friends sleeping on the other sofa. She wondered when Namine and Roxas fell asleep; she only remembered seeing Sora doze off. Regardless, she was happy he was awake now.

 

Sora brought a hand to his face once again, the boy still feeling the affects of his exhaustion. He ran it over his face once before he lowered it again, his hand finding the remote next to him. He tore his gaze away from Kairi and turned it off, mumbling a question at the same time. "Aren't you tired?"

 

Sora's words triggered Kairi's thoughts, the girl not having considered her own exhaustion until now. Since the movie was over and it was quiet, she realized that she was in fact tired. Certainly she could fall asleep if she closed her eyes for a few minutes. "Yeah, I am," she said in realization, her eyes on Sora still.

 

Sora turned back to face Kairi, his tired blue eyes landing on hers. "Maybe you could use Namine's bed?" he suggested softly. "I don't think that she's going to." He glanced over at Roxas and Namine, seeing that both of them appeared pretty comfortable the way they were.

 

"Where will you sleep?" Kairi asked then, at the same time thinking about Sora's suggestion. Would Namine care if Kairi slept in her room? She didn't think so... But where would Sora rest?

 

Sora shrugged lightly at the question, thinking of the answer in his mind before he spoke it aloud. "I'll stay on the couch," he said quietly. He would be fine there; this wouldn't be the first time he fell asleep on somebody else's sofa.

 

Kairi lowered her eyes to Sora's chest, biting her lip in thought. But, what if she wanted to stay with him? It was something she noticed that she wanted to do a lot of since he came back, but she didn't think that was a bad thing. After things with Nathaniel, Kairi realized that nobody else could truly replace Sora in her heart. It was impossible, and she was sure her feelings showed when she was with him. But sometimes, she still had nightmares about Nathaniel. She wasn't sure if she wanted to sleep alone, if she had the chance to be beside Sora tonight.

 

Sora tilted his head to the side slightly, seeing the expression Kairi's features held. "What's wrong?" he asked softly, looking down at the redhead who was still under his arm. If this was about Sora being stuck on a couch, then she didn't have any reason to worry; he really didn't care where he was as long as he could sleep.

 

Kairi lifted her eyes to Sora, hesitating with her answer. After a few seconds she finally spoke it. "...What if I want to stay with you?" she asked softly, rethinking what she had gone over only seconds before. She wasn't sure what kind of answer she was expecting, but Sora deserved to know her thoughts.

 

Sora was surprised at that, but he wasn't about to complain; he liked being close to Kairi too. "You want to lay down the length of the couch?" he asked softly, looking to his side and seeing a pillow sitting next to him. He could sit that in his lap, if Kairi wanted to be comfortable laying down instead of sitting up.
