Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

"Quiet!" Riku ordered, his aquamarine eyes piercing as he stared at Ansem. If anybody had issues here, it was him; possessing a young boy to get what he wanted. Who did that? It was obvious that only somebody like Ansem could do such a thing, and thinking about it only made Riku angrier.

Nathaniel heard the words spoken from another pair, but he chose to not reply to them. Instead, he responded to Sora. "Not well, I take it," he assumed, still staring at Sora. By Sora's reaction, he wasn't sure what to believe, but he was enjoying the fact that he was getting to the Keyblade wielder.

 

"Hmph." Ansem folded his arms across his chest, otherwise staying silent as he stared at Riku. Yup; he was the same brat that he had possessed a few years ago. Riku thought he was in the position to be ordering Ansem around. Cute.

Sora glared at Nathaniel, not giving him any signals that would alert him to how Kairi was doing. He would let Nathaniel think what he wanted, since Sora would never let this horrible prince get near Kairi again. He had made the mistake of being lured away once--"Why did you lure us here?" he asked, speaking to any of the three villains while he glared at Nathaniel. What if...this was another plot, to get him away from Kairi?

 

Nathaniel let his eyes move from Sora, the Prince looking to either of his comrades. He would let them take this one.

Roxas really didn't like the feeling he was getting, his adrenaline beginning to pick up as he glared at Smith. The longer this went on, the more uneasy he felt. All three of them... They obviously were in on this together. But why?

Riku kept his breathing even despite his racing heart, staring down Ansem. He was glad Sora asked the question. He wanted answers. Now.

 

Smith noticed both Ansem and Nathaniel looking to him, so he figured that he would be the one to answer this. "Roxas knows why I do everything I do," he said, keeping his eyes on the Nobody in front of him. From past experience, the boy knew that Smith acted the way that he did in desire of one thing: revenge. "Why don't you tell them, Roxas?"

 

Riku glanced out of the corner of his eye in Roxas's direction, hearing Smith's words. It was obvious he and Roxas knew each other from bad experience, by both the presence of this guy and how he spoke to Roxas. Riku's eyes went back to Ansem immediately after glancing at Roxas, not letting his guard down.

Roxas stared at Smith, gritting his teeth together at his words. Everything he had done to Roxas in the past somehow involved Namine, and most of it was for something he had done himself against Jeff. The blond Nobody flexed his grip on his blades before grasping them tightly. "Vengeance," he spoke through his teeth, pure hatred in his voice.

 

Smith kept his eyes on Roxas, a faint smile appearing on his lips as he gazed at his enemy. "Very good," he said simply. Just he expected, Roxas remembered why he had acted out against him in the past. All for the sake of vengeance, which was never achieved. Today, though, things would be different.

Sora glanced at Roxas and Smith, the brunet furrowing his brows slightly at the mention of vengeance. Smith was as cruel hearted as ever, not that that was any surprise to him.

"You Keyblade brats are the reason that we can't roam freely in the Realm of Light," Ansem said, looking over the other two Keyblade masters before his gaze settled on Riku. "Today is our day. The day that we gain what we lost, and you lose everything you ever gained."

 

"We're taking back what was ours," Nathaniel added to Ansem's statement, his eyes on Sora once more. He smirked as he kept his arms crossed, his green eyes fiery with what he said next. "Everything, and everyone."

Riku heard the words and was instantly infuriated. "We'll see about that," he said, voice low and dangerous. Ansem, Smith, and Nathaniel weren't going to get away with this if he had any say in it. He was sure that Sora and Roxas felt the same.

Roxas flexed his jaw as his teeth remained gritted together. He could feel his wrath for growing with every word that was said here, by either Ansem or Nathaniel. It didn't have to be Smith, even if his voice did irritate Roxas to no end. But that was who he was going to attack. Smith. He wasn't getting away with any of this.

 

Sora felt his blood boil at Nathaniel's last words, the brunet feeling as he were about to explode with his rage. "That's it!" he cried, leaping forward and swinging his Keyblades at Nathaniel. He wasn't going to stand by and let him talk about Kairi; he was going to kill Nathaniel again, and he was going to make sure he stayed dead.

Smith smirked, seeing Sora lash out at Nathaniel out of the corner of his eye. However, he kept his eyes on Roxas, knowing better than to take his eyes off the Nobody. After past experience, he knew all of Roxas's tricks, and he wasn't about to go down today. He would win his battle, just like his comrades would win theirs.

 

Nathaniel saw Sora coming, but he successfully rolled out of the way to avoid the attack. It gave him just enough time to summon his weaponry. Once he was on his feet, Nathaniel lifted his hands into the air, where the darkness blurred around them until they were occupied by his shield and sword.

Roxas heard Sora and knew that he had gone after Nathaniel, which made the Nobody have the urge to run at Smith as well. But he had to be smart about his movements, even if his rage and hatred was threatening to control him. This would be the third time he fought Smith; they knew each other's moves, which was going to prove difficult in the long run.

Riku tensed when he heard Sora's cry, never having heard his friend so angered before in his life. He didn't know who Nathaniel was, but he had to be very, very dark in order to infuriate Sora. Riku only stared at the amber eyes in front of him, his senses overwhelming with Darkness.

 

Ansem looked to Riku, shrugging lightly when he saw Riku tense at Sora's cry. "Like I said, anger issues," he said, his amber eyes staying on the teen in front of him. However, he felt his own anger burning inside him, the anger he had harbored for Riku ever since he rejected him. Defeating the boy would bring great pleasure to Ansem, that was for sure.

 

"I told you to shut up, didn't I?" Riku said, his attitude that he had learned to harbor coming out at Ansem's comment. "Nobody talks about my best friend like that." He didn't like hearing somebody so dark and evil speak about Sora like that, especially since they were once the brunet's own foe. "Besides, last time I checked, he defeated you too. Isn't that right?" Riku kept his grip on Way to Dawn tight, prepared for whatever Ansem could possibly throw at him.

 

Ansem looked at Riku, not missing a beat at the slap in the face. "The tables have turned," he said simply. "Personally, I would love to defeat your best friend and kill him to return the favor, but it looks like my comrade will take care of that just fine." He glanced behind Riku, seeing that Sora and Nathaniel were battling. However, he quickly returned to looking at Riku, the man not foolish enough to keep his eyes off the person he had once possessed.

 

Riku furrowed his eyebrows more at the words, but he managed a reply. "Don't be too sure of that. If Sora killed your friend over there before, he can do it again," he told Ansem. He then thought of all he went through because of the person before him, which only made his adrenaline pump harder. Riku defeated him once, and that was from invading his heart. If he could do that, he was confident he could handle Ansem now, even if he was more powerful in this Realm.

 

"Sora has never fought in the Realm of Darkness before," Ansem pointed out in a low tone of voice. "You know as well as I do that the differences between fighting in the opposite Realms are too infinite to count. You honestly expect either of your friends to walk away from this alive?" he asked, arching a brow. Not only where the two other Keyblade wielders unaccustomed to the darkness, but his comrades were stronger in this realm.

 

Riku ground his teeth together at the words, not able to deny them. Everything Ansem said to him was the truth, as hard as it was for him to accept. He could only come up with one thing, and he knew it was true. "Maybe, but they're stronger than you think," he replied, glaring at Ansem. Sora had conquered a lot over the past few years, and he had to admit that Roxas had as well, even if he didn't know the whole story.

 

"Strong enough to stand up to the darkness that surrounds them?" Ansem pushed, pleased that Riku wasn't stupid enough to deny the truth about the different realms. "I don't think so." The affects of the Darkness would be too much for the boys, and he knew that Nathaniel and Smith would kill them without a problem. He was more concerned about Riku, who was accustomed to the darkness that they stood in the midst of.

 

Riku continued to glare at Ansem, getting more infuriated by the second. Who was he to know who Sora and Roxas were or were not? He was quick to judge, and Riku couldn't wait to see the look on Ansem's face when both Sora and Roxas defeated his comrades. That is, if Ansem was even alive by then. "Being stuck in Darkness so long must have really messed up your senses," Riku told his worst enemy. "You know nothing about them, so stop talking like you do."

 

Ansem chuckled lightly, amused by Riku's temper. "And you know nothing of me," he said in a low tone of voice, staring at the silver-haired teen in front of him. "Did you just make the same 'mistake' as I did, talking about me when you don't know what I'm now capable. You're a hypocrite, Riku." He knew that the teen hated the insult, which was exactly why he had said it.

 

"I know all I need to know about you," Riku countered with confidence, his attitude coming through clearly in his voice. "After your heart's possessed, you learn a lot about a person. Don't tell me you forgot about that, 'Seeker of Darkness'." After all, he had certainly done just that. He invaded the darkness that had been sitting in Riku's heart, which made him act irrationally against Sora. He regretted ever letting that happen, and he was going to take out his anger at the situation on Ansem once more.

 

A chuckle left Ansem's lips, the man silently summoning his Guardian. He gradually appeared out of the darkness, but Ansem wasn't ready to fight yet, anyway. "I could never forget," he said simply, saying only four words before he continued. "I could never forget that I was almost victorious because a selfish fifteen year old allowed me to possess him. All of it because he had the petty emotion of jealousy."
