Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Nathaniel kept his sword to Sora's blade, instead resulting to another attack. He brought his left arm forward, swinging his shield at Sora for another attack.

 

Sora grunted, feeling Nathaniel's shield impact him hard. The Kingdom Key shook a little in his grasp, the brunet unable to keep the little bit of pressure he already had against Nathaniel's blade because of the pain he felt from the hits he just sustained.

 

Nathaniel felt the pressure against his blade lessen, and he used the moment to his advantage. He pushed Sora's Keyblade up and off away from his, at the same time bringing a leg forward to kick the brunet in the chest.

 

Sora saw the foot coming in for his chest, and in the split-second before the attack, he realized that he couldn't defend himself. He clenched his eyes shut tightly and grunted, feeling the kick propel him backwards. Though the attack was strong, he used it to his advantage, doing a roll and stopping on his knees a few yards away from Nathaniel. He summoned away Lion Heart and brought a hand to his chest, wincing at the powerful move that took his breath away. He lifted his eyes and glared at Nathaniel, trying to get his breath back.

 

Nathaniel lowered his sword slightly, staring at Sora from where he stood. "It appears to me that you're struggling, Sora," he said, smirking slightly. "Would you happen to have any idea why that is?" Surely the Keyblade wielder had no idea, considering he himself had never visited the Dark Realm before. That was just it, though; the Realm of Darkness was weakening the poor boy, which made this fight a little easier for Nathaniel. He was disappointed, having wanted a challenge.

 

Sora didn't move, glad that Nathaniel was making the idiotic move of talking to him instead of taking him down while he was weak. "Since you seem to already know, why don't you tell?" he managed, furrowing his brows at how breathless he was. As much as he hated to admit it, this battle was harder than the one on Earth, though he couldn't see why that should be.

 

"You don't belong in this Realm, which is exactly why you're losing," Nathaniel explained, his smirk beginning to vanish as he started to walk slowly toward Sora. "You're weak. It's hard to believe that Princess Kairi would prefer to be protected by somebody so fragile." Of course, on Earth Sora had clearly won. But it was time for revenge today, and Nathaniel was going to get it, now that he was somewhere that made him more more powerful.

 

Sora set a foot on the ground, trying to rise to his feet. But only a second after he got his other knee off the ground, he fell back down onto that knee. The Realm of Darkness...it made him weaker. He should have assumed as much. When he heard Nathaniel's words, though, he felt the tiredness fade away, anger replacing it. "She prefers not to be deceived and forced into a life she doesn't want," he said, keeping his hand to his chest. Nathaniel had wanted to force her to be his queen, and she hadn't wanted that at all.

 

Nathaniel stopped a few feet from Sora, looking down at him on the ground. "She also prefers not to be left behind. But you've already learned that, haven't you?" he quipped, remembering how Kairi had acted when he was with her. "How heartbroken she appeared when she realized your Nobody returned but you didn't. Such a shame that she left your arms and turned to me for comfort, isn't it?"

 

"You manipulated her," Sora growled, his hand on his chest a fist now. Kairi had gone to somebody else for comfort because she was lonely after he left. Sora knew that it was bad because she never went to somebody else before, but her loneliness during that time wasn't something that either of them ever brought up.

 

The Prince shrugged. "It's what those of Darkness do best," he said, eyes still on Sora. "So tell me, how does the Darkness feel?" Currently, the Darkness was overflowing here in the Realm, so it certainly wasn't dong Sora any good. Nathaniel, of course, was the opposite; he felt high and mighty, like a royal prince should be.

 

"Awful," Sora said simply, grunting softly when he brought his knee of the ground and slowly rose back to his feet. "But by the end of this, you're going to feel worse than awful; you'll be dead, just like you should have been when I took care of you before." Though the Darkness kept Sora weak, he wasn't about to let Nathaniel walk away from this alive; he would fight even when he felt like he couldn't any longer.

 

Nathaniel gripped his sword and shield, but didn't make any movement. He only smirked at the Keyblade Master, knowing that he wasn't going to let him get away with talking like that.

 

Sora furrowed his brows, moving his left hand away from his chest and opening his fist. Lion Heart reappeared in his grasp, the teen instantly having a tight grip on it. A battle cry left his lips as he leaped at Nathaniel, swinging one of his weapons horizontally at him.

 

Nathaniel's eyes narrowed slightly, seeing Sora coming at him. He only had enough time to move his shield in front of him to block the incoming attack, hearing and feeling the blade and shield meet. If Sora thought Nathaniel was going to be easy to defeat, he was surely going to be proved wrong.

 

Sora brought up his other Keyblade, bringing it down vertically on Nathaniel while his other pressed against the shield.

 

Nathaniel gripped his sword tightly, attempting to bring it up and block the incoming blow. However, he wasn't sure if it would do the job. And he was right. Instead, he felt Sora's blade impact his shoulder, making him loosen his grasp on his weapon slightly.

 

Though Sora recognized that his hit landed, he didn't let up. He brought the Kingdom Key away from Nathaniel's shoulder and ducked down, his other Keyblade coming off Nathaniel's shield when he hit the Prince's legs with his weapon.

 

Nathaniel felt his feet leave the ground and he landed hard on his back, the wind getting knocked out of him from the fall. He gripped his shield and sword tightly despite his state, knowing he was stronger than this. All he had to do was welcome the Darkness even more.

 

Sora jumped back, seeing that Nathaniel had his shield raised so that Sora wouldn't be able to land a blow while he was down. It was frustrating, just how strong Nathaniel was in the Realm of Darkness. Of course, being weakened himself didn't help, either.
