Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Riku winced at the next hit, impacting near the area where the other attack had made contact. I have to get out of this, he thought silently, gritting his teeth because of the pain. He felt his hold on his Keyblade begin to loosen from the pain of the attacks, but he knew he had to focus in order to get out of the Guardian's grasp.

 

Drive him into the ground, Ansem silently ordered the Guardian, his eyes meeting those of his Heartless ally. The creature released one of Riku's arms, at the same time pushing Riku down to the ground. He kept one of his giant fists on Riku's back, his eyes staying on the boy before he looked back up at his master.

 

Riku felt the wind get forced out of him from meeting the ground so roughly, the boy grunting in pain. How could he let this happen? He was smarter than this! How could he even get out of the hold the Guardian had on him?

 

Ansem looked to the Guardian, silently telling him his plans. Though the Heartless showed no signs of understanding, Ansem knew that the creature comprehended what he would do. He lifted his staff, preparing to stab Riku while he laid on the ground. In order to do that, though, he would have to force his Guardian to back off so he could kill Riku and not hit his ally.

 

Focus, Riku. Focus! The silver-haired teen gripped his Keyblade tightly, grinding his teeth together as he tried to muster up the strength to come up with enough power for his planned attack. He opened his eyes and saw Ansem's feet near him. Riku weakly lifted his arm a little, his palm open. Dark Aura, he thought, summoning the power to him.

 

Ansem cried out, suddenly feeling Riku attack him with Dark Aura. He stumbled back a few steps, his grip on his staff loosening at the pain he felt. Without him asking, the dark Guardian abandoned Riku, moving behind his master and catching him before he could fall. The man turned around, glaring at the creature who had its hands on his back. Idiotic Heartless! he thought in anger. You left Riku!

 

Riku felt the pressure from the Guardian's hand leave him, allowing him to gasp for air. He moved his hands to the ground near his head, starting to push himself up. He rose to his feet, but stumbled slightly, weak from the hits he had taken moments ago. It didn't matter, though; he was going to finish this. He had to.

 

Ansem tightened his grip on his staff again, staring at Riku as he got up off the ground. Guardian, attack! he thought, eyebrows furrowed in seriousness. He felt the Guardian come out from behind him, lunging at Riku once again.

 

Riku brought his free hand out in front of him, his Keyblade blocking his torso as he called another power to him. Dark Shield. He saw the blue shield appear in front of him instantly, protecting him from any oncoming attacks.

 

Ansem watched as the Guardian slashed at the shield, only to be denied access to Riku. Strong shield, he thought, frowning at the sight of it. He had lost his advantage over Riku, and now the fight would become more heated again, on both sides.

 

Once the shield disappeared, Riku cried out and dashed forward. He thrusted Way to Dawn at the Guardian once he was close to it, aiming for the being's midsection.

 

The Guardian's eyes widened, a loud shriek of pain leaving the creature when he came in contact with Riku's blade. Guardian, come back! Ansem ordered, panicking for a split second. However, the creature didn't respond, fading out of existence because of the fatal attack.

 

Riku felt his blade make contact with the Guardian and once it disappeared, he continued running forward, heading straight for Ansem. Once he was a few feet away, he leaped into the air, bringing his Keyblade back to deliver an attack.

 

"Huh?!" Ansem cried, amazed that Riku could move with such speed and strength after the damage he had just taken. He lifted his staff to absorb the blow, though he felt as if it wouldn't help much at all against the strength of the Keyblade Master.

 

Riku felt his blade meet Ansem's staff, making him halt. He was used to the manipulation of this Realm, so he was familiar with fighting against it. His strength may have dwindled from the attacks he received, but he wasn't about to give up; he was used to going beyond his limits. Ansem should have known that. Even if his chest ached with every move he made, he couldn't surrender. Wouldn't even dream of it.

 

Ansem was surprised when he actually managed to stop Riku in his tracks, the man furrowing his eyebrows as he recovered from the shock of his Guardian being killed. He could still win this as long as he didn't make any stupid moves.

 

Riku gritted his teeth as he used both hands to hold his blade against Ansem's weapon, glaring behind his silver bangs at the man who had caused him so pain. He invaded his heart, turned him into a monster. Riku wasn't going to let anyone get away with that. Ever.

 

Ansem grunted, pressing back on his staff when Riku pushed harder. He briefly recognized that Riku had gotten stronger since the last time that they had fought, but he didn't dwell on the realization. He needed to focus on how he could turn the battle in his favor again.

 

"Ready to lose to me again?" Riku asked, grunting slightly as he held his ground. Even through his injuries, he wasn't going to back down. Ansem was going to die. He would make sure of it.

 

"No," Ansem said, glaring at Riku in front of him. "So it's a good thing I don't plan on losing." He pressed back harder against Riku, not ready to give up this fight. He would be the victor; he had to be.
