Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Riku narrowed his eyes before pushing off Ansem's staff, jumping back. He pulled his left arm forward and shot out Dark Aura immediately, needing to distract Ansem or injure him, whatever happened first. After that, he could land a few blows, and hopefully deal the final hit. He wasn't planning to lose either, so it was going to be a fight to the death.

 

Ansem swung his staff, but he only managed to knock off two of the dark orbs that came to him. He cried out in pain, loosening his grip on his staff when the pain distracted him from the battle.

 

Riku grunted and chucked Way to Dawn at the man before him, not hesitating with the attack. Despite his injuries, he had to move as quickly and swiftly as possible. He couldn't hold back.

 

Ansem felt the Keyblade hit him hard and he grunted, his grip on his staff loosening further at the impact of it. Get out of this; you're playing into his hand! he told himself. But the pain in his body wouldn't allow him to move, let alone attack.

 

Riku shot out more blue Firaga orbs, pulling another Dark Aura attack. Once he released them, he charged toward Ansem, summoning Way to Dawn back to his hands. With the distraction, he could hopefully get rid of Ansem for good.

 

Ansem roared in pain, his staff by his side and his eyes shut tightly at the dark attacks that never seemed to cease. He thought he heard Riku approaching him, but he couldn't react because his body was frozen with pain.

 

"Prepare to lose it all!" Riku cried angrily as he dashed forward and leaped into the air, bringing his blade down, aiming right for Ansem's chest; where his heart would be if he had one. Ansem was done for. Everything he worked for here in the Realm of Darkness was over, and he was going to lose every single bit of it.

 

Ansem's eyes widened, feeling Riku's blade pierce him. He completely lost his grip on the staff, the weapon falling onto the ground. His yellowish eyes wandered until they found Riku, who had just stabbed him with his Keyblade.

 

Riku gripped the hilt of Way to Dawn with both hands, fury in his eyes as he glared at the man who had caused him so much pain and made him feel too much fear. "I almost lost myself to you," he spat, his voice like venom. "Now you'll lose yourself to me. For good." He gripped Way to Dawn tightly and pulled it out of Ansem's chest with a grunt, prepared to watch him die.

 

Ansem felt his vision blur, the man falling to his knees once Riku's blade was out of his chest. With his labored breathing, he looked over the battlefield, seeing the different fights occurring. Still, he couldn't focus in on anything, his mind fuzzy. I'm going to die, he realized, his hands in fists over his wounded chest.

 

Riku lowered his Keyblade to his side, stepping back and staring down at Ansem. His eyes expressed deep hatred, his mouth set in a firm line. He was done dealing with the pain. Ansem originally set out for vengeance, but Riku believed he just completed his. It was over now. Forever.

 

"You may have defeated me," Ansem said, his words hard to speak because of the pain in his chest. "But don't think that your comrades will be so lucky with their foes." He grunted heavily, gripping his chest more tightly and clenching his eyes shut with the pain. He felt himself starting to fade away, and he realized that this truly was the end.

 

Riku didn't say anything, thinking that Ansem didn't deserve a response. Surely if Riku had enough drive to defeat the man who possessed him more than once, Sora and Roxas could defeat their foes along the same lines. He believed they could do it, and he was sure they would. Of course, it didn't matter if Ansem knew that or not. He was dying.

 

Ansem dissolved into pyreflies, the dark-colored orbs scattering slightly but still flying over to the same side of the battlefield. They were absorbed into Smith, who gained a little more power from the strength of his fallen comrade.

 

Riku followed the glowing orbs with his eyes, seeing them go to Roxas's enemy. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, but otherwise did nothing. His battle was finished.

Roxas breathed heavily, standing a few feet apart from Smith. He gripped his blades tightly, prepared for whatever Smith was going to throw at him. They had been neck and neck this whole battle, which not only frustrated Roxas, but also let him know that he and Smith weren't going to defeat each other so easily. Of course, the last few battles hadn't been easy either. It didn't help, though, that the Darkness was pressing down on Roxas. Surely that was a disadvantage here. The blond Nobody's eyes moved from Smith to the colored orbs that floated to his body, and then he absorbed them. Roxas arched an eyebrow, but didn't question it right now. He had more important things to do.

 

Sora noticed the floating orbs, the teen momentarily distracted by them. He then glanced at Riku, seeing that he was standing alone. However, Sora's battle was far from over; he was taking a beating from Nathaniel, who was even more powerful now that he was a dragon. He couldn't afford any slip-ups, or it would cost him his life.

 

Riku kept Way to Dawn in his hand, a loose hold on it as he felt a gaze on him. His eyes then darted to Sora, seeing his friend and the dragon he was facing. The dragon was taking in a breath, and Sora was looking at him... "Sora!" Riku cried. He needed to pay attention!

Just as Riku cried out, Nathaniel finished his intake of breath and blew out purple and black flames. The attack was much like the one he used on Earth, except full of Darkness and much more powerful. He sent the attack in Sora's direction, aiming right at him.

 

Sora turned at the flames, his eyes wide at them. He grunted and pushed himself back, performing a backflip and throwing his Keyblade at Nathaniel in midair. What was he thinking, looking away!? He grunted, landing on his feet and keeping an eye on Nathaniel in case the flames kept coming.

 

Nathaniel finished releasing the Dark flames before he was struck in the head by Sora's weapons. He wailed in pain, but also in frustration. Being a huge dragon had its downsides, but he was positive he could beat Sora if things continued at this rate.

 

Sora panted a breath, summoning his Keyblade back into his hand. He only had one chance to settle this, and that was if he managed to get onto Nathaniel's back like he managed to do last time. Other than that, there wasn't any hope, since he used up his magic earlier in the battle.
