Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Nathaniel directed his attention elsewhere, beyond Sora and the silver-haired teen staring in his direction. He saw that he was not occupied in battle any longer, which immediately fueled Nathaniel's anger. Xehanort's Heartless was defeated! He was about to cry out when he realized that he didn't hear Sora's body hit the ground. Why was that?

Riku saw the dragon glaring in his direction and set its footing like it was prepared to come at him, which only made him tighten his grip on Way to Dawn. He could see Sora was being quiet, which he didn't acknowledge in fear the dragon would notice. Clearly, by the look in its eyes, it already did, even if it was staring at Riku.

 

Sora set his feet on the ground, summoning his Keyblades back into his hands instead of bending down and picking them up. He ignored the horrific aching in his chest and his breathlessness, rushing towards Nathaniel's tail instead. He would need to run up it so that he could reach the dragon's neck and head, where he could do serious damage.

 

Nathaniel kept his dragon eyes on Riku for a moment, angry that the teen had managed to defeat one of his comrades. His anger caused him to forget about Sora for the moment, but he held still when he sensed movement within his vision, hoping it wasn't who he thought it was. Nathaniel lowered his gaze from Riku and turned his head, seeing Sora up and running...and toward him. He roared in rage then, feeling utterly foolish at the fact that the kid had tricked him.

 

Sora ran up the dragons tail, coming up on his upper back a second or two later. As soon as he was there, he sucked in a breath and swung both his Keyblades at Nathaniel's neck, putting in as much might as he could considering what he had just gone through. He really wished he had some magic to cure himself, but he didn't, so he would have to suck it up and ignore the pain until the end of battle.

 

Nathaniel writhed under the hits, a wail of pain leaving his mouth. He needed to get Sora off of him, or he was in deep trouble.

 

Sora kept swinging, not letting up. Yes, he couldn't breathe properly because of the pain in his chest. Yes, every movement he made it felt like his body was on fire. But he couldn't let it affect him at all, not even a tiny bit. Nathaniel had so many advantages in this battle, and now that Sora had one, he couldn't let it go.

 

Nathaniel squeezed his eyes shut at the pain constantly erupting on his neck, releasing another sharp cry in pain. He could feel himself already losing, since he couldn't manage to get Sora off of him.

 

Sora furrowed his brows, swinging the Kingdom Key hard at Nathaniel's neck. He was sure he only had a limited amount of pain before Nathaniel shook him off. It wouldn't have been hard, since he still hadn't caught his breath from being squeezed a minute ago. Don't let up, he told himself, swinging Lion Heart at the dragon as well.

 

Nathaniel was about to turn his head around to see exactly where Sora was on his back to knock him off, but then he felt the impact from Sora's blade impact him. He felt himself growing weaker due to the hit, the dragon making a muffled sound much like a grunt.

 

You let up now and you may never get the chance to attack again, Sora continued to himself, pulling back a Keyblade and swinging it. Nathaniel had nearly killed him a few minutes ago, but now that Sora was free and able to fight, he would make sure that Nathaniel was the one who ended up dead at the end of the fight.

 

Nathaniel fought the pain and finally turned his head around, roaring when he saw Sora swinging at his neck. He lifted his tail immediately, hoping to knock Sora off of him using it.

 

Sora saw the tail coming, his eyes instantly widening at the sight. However, he wasn't ready to give up the advantage that he had over Nathaniel. He saw the dragon's head right by him, his mouth open. Sora grunted and gripped the middle of his blade, putting it upright in the dragon's mouth and avoiding the swinging tail.

 

Nathaniel was surprised by the move, not expecting Sora to get this close to his teeth. He lifted his head and tilted it back, at the same time shaking it from side to side to get the boy off. The dragon tried to close its mouth to remove the Keyblade as well. He didn't personally want to bite Sora since he was actually a human being, but if it was the only way to truly kill him, he would do it. Sora needed to die.

 

Sora kept his grip on the Keyblade and maneuvered himself to the right position, setting his feet on it when Nathaniel tilted his head back. He grunted and launched himself up into the air, only coming to a halt when gravity hindered him from going any higher. "Take this!" he cried, throwing Lion Heart at Nathaniel's head.

 

Nathaniel's eyes widened and he felt the blade Sora threw strike him in the head. He felt his vision cloud as he lost his balance, the dragon collapsing to the ground in a heap.

 

Sora felt himself falling, not having the energy to bother with hovering. He grunted when his feet hit the ground, the brunet standing in front of the dragon. Both of his Keyblades laid on the ground now, but he only summoned one back into his hand while the other faded away. It was time to finish this. The Kingdom Key appeared in his grasp and he shut his eyes, pointing the weapon at the ground as he focused on the Light.

 

Nathaniel's dragon form groaned slightly, his head lying on the ground of the Dark Realm. His head ached terribly now, the force behind that last attack very strong. He opened his eyes, but all he saw was a blurred picture of what was going on in front of him, which he couldn't decipher.

 

Sora furrowed his eyebrows, pointing the Keyblade at Nathaniel when he felt the power grow enough. Light! he mentally cried, opening his eyes as a beam of light exited the Keyblade and headed straight for the dragon.

 

Nathaniel suddenly saw something bright, and then the pain hit him. He released a mighty roar from his throat at the pain, showing the agony of the attack. Light, he thought painfully. It was killing his Darkness, and in turn killing him.

 

Sora gripped the hilt of his blade more tightly, not letting up. This light had to kill Nathaniel; if it didn't, then Sora didn't know what he would do. He was finally catching his breath now, but he was still extremely sore because of the hold Nathaniel had on him with his tail.
