Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Roxas skidded to a halt across the floor, having stopped right where Smith would have been. He looked at Riku and then frantically started glancing around the room, turning with his blades in his hands. Sora and Smith... Where did they go?

"Sora!" Riku called, seeing that his best friend was no longer with them. Where did he and Smith even go? He caught the portal, but that didn't completely answer his question. Smith was playing tricks again, he just knew it.

 

Smith swung at Sora repeatedly, putting much force behind the hits. However, Sora proved to be pretty fast, blocking all of his blows. However, he noticed a weakness in Sora's left side, so he came up with a plan. He summoned a portal behind Sora and then swung hard at the boy, hitting him with enough force to send him flying through the portal.

A cry left Sora's lips, the brunet feeling the impact of the blade. He flew through the portal, appearing on the other side of the one that had appeared in the warehouse. He hit the wall hard, falling to the ground while still managing to keep a grip on his Keyblades. The pain in his head and body was severe as he looked up at the portal, seeing Smith reenter the warehouse.

 

Roxas whirled around when he heard a noise, then seeing Sora crash into the wall. His eyes widened then, also spotting Smith walk through the portal. What was going on?! It was starting to anger Roxas even more that Smith was playing games!

Riku immediately got back into his stance when he saw Smith, not sure what was happening here other than the fact that Smith had managed to return with Sora from wherever they had disappeared to. However, that was the least of his worries. Right now, Smith needed to lose.

 

Sora sat himself up, a grunt leaving his lips as he tried to fix his blurry vision. He blinked when he saw Smith's outstretched hand, dark fireballs coming out of it. He tightened his grip on the Kingdom Key and summoned a shield around him, effectively protecting himself from the attack.

Smith hmphed, satisfied with Sora's reaction. He hadn't expected his attack to land; he had used Dark Aura against the brunet so that he could learn a new move himself: Reflectga.

 

Roxas's eyes widened for half a second, the boy glancing at Riku at the attack before looking back to their enemy. Smith just used Dark Aura... Riku's attack! What was going on here?!

So I wasn't wrong, Riku thought, referring to Smith using Dark Aura against him back at Kairi's. He really had taken Riku's ability. But...what did that mean? No point waiting to find out, he thought lowly, tightening his grasp on Way to Dawn. They needed to get an advantage over Smith immediately.

 

Sora rose to his feet while under the protection of his shield, the teen rushing as soon as the spell wore off. A battle cry left his lips as he swung at Smith, the teen determined to land a blow.

Smith lifted his gunblade to block the attack, but the strength behind Sora's swing forced him back a few feet. He saw Sora coming in again and he lifted his weapon to defend himself, only to have the same result. Sora wasn't getting through to him, but he was doing a good job of knocking him back towards his friends.

 

Roxas saw Smith getting closer to them thanks to Sora, and he didn't hesitate his next move. He ran forward quickly, Oathkeeper and Oblivion at his sides and ready to deal a blow.

Riku saw Roxas heading in for an attack, and he thought he would pose as a distraction. He pulled back his arm and fired off the attack stolen from him, Dark Aura.

 

Instead of just blocking Sora, Smith swung back, his gunblade meeting Sora's Keyblades. He sent the kid back through the air, though he noticed Sora land safely on his feet. He sensed movement out of the corner of his eye and cast his recently learned move, a shield appearing around him as he cast Reflectga.

 

Roxas managed to swing just as Smith casted his new ability, his Keyblades bouncing off the shield as he stumbled backward. What the...? He saw Riku's blue Firaga orbs also fade at the contact made with the shield. How was Smith able to do that?

 

Sora stood himself upright, panting slightly as he saw Smith's shield disappear. He then watched as Smith turned and swung his gunblade at Roxas, who was standing right near where the shield had been. What's going on here? he thought, furrowing his brows as he tried to figure this out.

 

Roxas quickly registered what was happening and crossed his blades, grunting and squeezing his eyes shut when he felt and heard Smith's blade connect with his. He opened his eyes to meet the amber pair in front of him, grinding his teeth together as he fought to keep Smith's gunblade away from him.

Riku wasn't that surprised to find his attack blocked, but that didn't stop him from charging for Smith while he had Roxas occupied. They needed to gang up on him to gain an advantage, or else they would all lose.

 

Smith pushed back against Roxas's blade, shoving the teen off and jumping back himself. He sensed Riku near his position, so he fired Dark Aura at the teen, a battle cry leaving his lips at the action.

Sora furrowed his brows, chucking the Kingdom Keyblade at Smith when he saw the man cast Dark Aura again. He didn't know how it was possible for him to do that, but it didn't matter as long as Smith was defeated.

 

Riku should have expected a move like that. However, he slashed at the orbs that flew at him, his charge not ceasing. He leaped into the air and brought his weapon down on Smith, preparing to strike a blow.

Roxas caught his footing before he stumbled back, seeing Smith and Riku's attempts at attacks. He couldn't think of any other move than what he did next. He flung Oblivion at the man he hated so much, watching the blade spin vertically through the air.

 

Smith noticed Sora's and Roxas's blades coming for him at the time, the man realizing that they would strike him at the same time. He lifted his gunblade and swiped at the Kingdom Key, knocking it down while Oblivion impacted him. He cried out at the pain, momentarily forgetting that Riku was charging at him.

 

Riku swung Way to Dawn down with as much strength as he could, a cry leaving his lips as he struck Smith and landed on the ground in a crouched position. A second before he saw Roxas's blade impact Smith, and he was glad. They were finally gaining the upperhand in this battle.

As soon as Oblivion struck, Roxas summoned it back and ran forward to Smith's position. He wanted nothing more than to release his rage on the man who took the person he loved most away from him. Again.

 

Smith grunted, feeling Riku's blade impact him hard. He recovered quickly and swung his blade at the teen, the swing having a lot of might and speed behind it. At the same time, he noticed Roxas and Sora charging at him, but he would have time to prepare a defense against them once he got the hard blow on Riku.

 

Just as Riku went to stand up, he felt the sharp blow land against him. He fell to the ground on one knee, wincing from the pain that erupted in his chest.

Roxas was only a few feet from Smith when he pulled back his blades to deal a blow. As he brought his blades forward to strike, he wasn't prepared for what Smith did next.

 

Smith disappeared in a dark shroud, the portal appearing right where his body had been. It vanished immediately and then another reappeared right behind Roxas, the man rushing out and swinging his gunblade at the Nobody and sending him in the direction of Riku.

 

Roxas cried out at the pain that impacted his back, sending him stumbling a few feet until he slid right by Riku on the floor. The wind had been knocked out of him, making it hard to breathe as he lay on his side, Keyblade still in his grasp.

Riku looked up in time to see Roxas slide past him and land about a foot away, the silver haired teen having a hand on his chest. He grunted as he used Way to Dawn to help him up, bringing one knee off the floor as he stood up. He had to get back in the action.

 

A battle cry left Sora's lips as he swung at Smith, both hands on the hilt of Ultima Weapon. His hit landed, sending Smith flying back into a wall much like what had happened to Sora earlier. However, Sora didn't' let up. He charged again, only to feel his blade come in contact with Smith's raised gunblade.
