Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Roxas opened his eyes as he gasped for breath, able to see Riku rising to his feet from his position. As he started to push himself up, he heard Riku cry out and send Dark Aura toward Smith from where he stood. Roxas glanced in that position as he stood upright, watching the blue orbs fly toward the man that was blade-to-blade with Sora.

 

Sora grunted, sensing a Dark Aura attack coming in his and Smith's direction. He forced Smith up against the wall before pushing himself back, just in time for the attack to land.

Smith winced, feeling the dark orbs impact him. He growled and shot a large fireball at Sora, a move similar to what Leon of Hollow Bastion used.

Sora's eyes widened, the brunet landing on his feet just in time to see the incoming attack. He cry left his lips when the fiery ball hit him, sending him back a few feet and knocking him down.

 

My turn. Roxas gripped his Keyblades and ran foward now that Smith wasn't occupied by Sora, reaching Smith quickly and stabbing both of his blades forward to strike.

 

Smith bent his knees and leaped over Roxas, the man mimicking a move he had seen Sora do earlier that battle only to avoid an attack. Smith changed the move slightly, landing on the other side of Roxas before disappearing into a portal.

 

Roxas skidded to a halt and whirled around, only to see a portal behind him. Without a second thought, he ran through it, chasing after Smith.

Riku's eyes widened when he saw Roxas run toward the portal and disappear. It was just a trap set up by Smith, much like what had happened to Sora!

 

Smith saw Roxas enter the dark area, the same location he had previously fought Sora in for a few seconds. This time, though, he wasn't going to make it that long. A harsh cry left his lips as he swung at Roxas, at the same time making another portal appear behind him.

Sora grunted, up to his knees now. He stabbed Ultima Weapon into the ground and used it to help him rise to his feet. Man, what I wouldn't do for a potion right now, he thought, wincing at all the pain he was in.

 

Roxas lifted Oblivion as soon as he registered what was happening, though his block was weak. Smith's gunblade only forced Oblivion toward the ground, making Roxas lean to the side slightly from the attack.

 

Smith noticed Roxas's weakness on his side and brought up a foot, giving Roxas a hard kick. As much as he enjoyed fighting one-on-one battles, eh needed to get back and see if he could steal any more precious moves from Sora or Riku.

 

Roxas gave a short cry of pain at the kick, reappearing through the portal behind him that had never closed. He slid across the floor slightly, his eyes finding the ceiling as he noted that he was back in the warehouse.

 

Smith stepped out of the portal as well, movement out of the corner of his eye immediately catching his attention. He lifted his gunblade when he saw the Keyblade coming in at him, though he realized that it was too late. A roar left his lips when Ultima Weapon struck him, the blade feeling as if it had an electrical charge in it. What--?

Sora watched as his Keyblade spun through the air, turning around and coming back like a boomerang. It struck Smith again before returning to his hand, the electrical charge no longer present now that the weapon had struck his enemy.

 

Riku ran forward, taking the brief moment Smith was stunned to his advantage. He dashed across the floor and jabbed Way to Dawn forward, aiming for Smith's chest.

 

Smith cried out, feeling Riku's blade cut his chest. In anger, he extended a hand, casting Dark Aura at all three teens.

Sora grunted, seeing two fireballs heading in his direction. He brought up Ultima Weapon and deflected both of them, sending them up towards the ceiling before they faded out of existence.

 

Riku felt himself stumble back due to being hit by one of the fireballs, but he blocked the second one that came his way, only a few feet from Smith now.

Roxas was halfway up from his spot on the floor when he saw a few Firaga orbs fly his way. He lifted both of his blades to block them, squeezing his eyes shut at the force against his weapons.

 

Smith noticed a pause in the battle, and he figured that now would be a good time to turn the tides in his favor. He felt darkness rising in his heart, his eyes glowing a little with the magic. "Darkness!" he cried, his arms down to his side as a wave of darkness swept over the room.

Sora gasped, lifting both of his arms when he saw the darkness that suddenly was coming towards him. He braced himself against it, though he felt himself being surrounded by it anyway.

 

Riku heard the cry and opened his eyes, but he instantly grunted when he felt the Darkness impact him. He felt it surrounding him, the boy closing his eyes against the disgusting feel of it.

Roxas managed to stand just as Smith cried out to his power, the blond's eyes widening when he saw Darkness coming toward him. He attempted to bring up his arms to block the Darkness away from his face, but it was too late; he felt the wave of Darkness hit him, and his world slowly dimmed.

 

After a few seconds, the wave of Darkness faded, revealing a new surrounding to Smith: the Realm of Darkness. He noticed Namine and Kairi out of the corner of his eye, seeing them restrained by Heartless. They were not his main concern, though. He looked to the three teens he had brought here, seeing them all lying face down on the ground. He tightened his grip on his gunblade, starting towards the Nobody so that he could finish him off.

Namine's eyes were already wide when she saw the four people reappear, but now they were as wide as could be when she saw Smith going for her boyfriend. "Roxas!" she cried, not seeing him moving. She struggled against the Heartless that was holding her, desperate to get through to him.

 

Riku opened his eyes, only to stare at the dark floor of the Realm of Darkness. He pushed himself up slowly at first, but then turned around at the cry of Roxas's name. He saw Smith, and his eyes widened at the action he saw him about to do. The silver-haired teen pushed himself off his knee and raced over, sliding across the ground and summoning Way to Dawn just in time to meet Smith's gunblade.

Roxas heard a faint voice call out to him, making him stir slightly. Who was it? He suddenly heard a sharp clang of metal, which woke him up more. However, his eyes remained closed as he slowly came out of his period of blackness. Where was he?

 

Smith grunted, feeling Riku's weapon block him from dealing the final blow. No! he thought, furrowing his eyebrows in anger against the silver haired teen. Riku was going to pay for that! He had just been going in for the perfect kill, but Riku had to get in the way of that.

Sora was aware that he was lying face down on the ground, though he didn't understand why he was in that position or where he was. He stayed still, the darkness making it hard for him to regain his senses.

 

Riku gritted his teeth together, fighting the force Smith put against his Keyblade as he pushed back. Despite his and Roxas's differences, he wasn't letting the blond get taken down when he was so vulnerable. Riku was lucky he was so adjusted to the Darkness, or Roxas would be done for.

Kairi was relieved to see Riku step in front of Smith and keep him from injuring Roxas, her eyes stuck on her best friends. Riku seemed to be holding Smith off, but Roxas still wasn't moving. And neither was Sora! She struggled against the slimy grasp a Heartless had against her, though it was no use. Kairi and Namine were trapped.

Roxas's finger twitched, the boy feeling something cold against most of his body and the side of his face. His blackout stage wasn't over yet, the boy's eyelids too heavy at the moment to open. However, things were coming back to him as his hand formed a loose fist. He would be up in a matter of seconds.

 

Smith grunted, pushing off Riku's blade and jumping backwards. He should have expected Riku to be up and moving quickly; from what he heard, the teen was accustomed to this realm. That would work to his disadvantage, except that he was stronger here than he was on Earth, and Sora and Roxas were weaker.

Namine's eyes got a little smaller, glad to see that Riku had saved Roxas from Smith. She noticed Smith jump back closer to her and Kairi, though, which made her uneasy. She never liked him being close, for obvious reasons.
