Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Roxas quickly regained his balance, moving his feet underneath him in order to catch himself from the force behind Smith's shove. He saw the shield and knew instantly that he had used it after Sora did earlier. How was Smith able to do the same things as Sora? And Riku too, since he could use Dark Aura? It didn't make sense.

Riku wasn't fazed by the casting of the shield, because he knew that once he got behind Smith and then ran at him, that shield would be gone.

 

Smith's shield disappeared, the man taking a few steps forward and swinging at Roxas with his gunblade. He refused to be defeated in this battle; if he was, then it was the end of his existence.

Sora was up on his feet by now, seeing Riku going in at Smith from behind. He grunted, charging towards the area where the three people were fighting. He wasn't about to sit out on this fight; Smith was going to defeated, as long as he, Roxas, and Riku worked together.

 

Roxas lifted both of his blades, grunting when he felt the impact of the gunblade meeting his own weapons. He had seen Riku's motives earlier, so all he had to do was distract Smith. He pushed against Smith's blade with his own, trying to get the man off of him.

Riku briefly glanced at Sora, seeing him running toward Smith as well. But then he looked at Smith again. He was only a few yards away now, and he brought Way to Dawn back before stabbing it forward, aiming for Smith's back.

 

Smith cried out in surprise, feeling Riku's blade cut into his back. The action didn't force him to back off of Roxas, though; he pressed harder against his Keyblades, hoping to overwhelm him by using brute force.

Sora felt the tip of his blade glow with magic, the brunet planning on casting a spell that would freeze Smith in his tracks. Or, at least, it would do some damage. But Riku and Roxas were too close for him to attack with the magic, so he stayed a few yards behind Smith, preparing the spell.

 

Riku pulled his Keyblade back and instantly distanced himself from Smith, knowing how fast the man could retaliate. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Sora and briefly wondered what he was doing. However, because of the battle, his thoughts immediately went back to that, just in time to see what happened next.

Roxas saw his Keyblades shaking even more under Smith's power. He grunted softly as he tried to fight back, but Smith had a lot of strength; the boy felt one of his Keyblades slip, and that was enough for him to quake underneath Smith's force. He stumbled backward, managing to get a few feet away from Smith.

 

Sora took that as his opportunity, seeing that Roxas and Riku were both a safe distance away from Smith. Freeze! he thought, sending a ball of ice towards Smith. This spell wasn't his most recently learned Blizzaga, but a version he recalled from Castle Oblivion.

Smith spun around to attack Riku when Roxas stumbled backwards, the man realizing at the same time that there was another threat. He turned his head in Sora's direction just in time to see the ice coming at him. He grunted, swinging his gunblade at it and shattering it into a million pieces.

Drat, Sora thought, seeing that his attack failed. He gritted his teeth together and charged, towards Smith, closing the distance quickly even though he had been several yards away.

 

Riku saw Smith destroy Sora's spell, which only angered him. This guy just won't lose, he thought in outrage. But then he realized standing around and thinking was going to get him nowhere. Instead, Riku gripped his Keyblade and charged forward, coming at Smith from the back again.

Roxas saw Sora and Riku charging, and he decided that it would be best if he did the same. The boy ran foward and started to close the distance between him and his foe, aware that there was no possible way Smith could escape all three of them.

 

Smith noticed the three Keyblade masters coming in to strike him at the same time, and he decided that their force would be used against themselves with his next move. Reflectga, he thought, casting a shield around himself once again.

Sora had already been in the middle of a swing when Smith cast the shield, and the hit was too powerful to pull back. He grunted, feeling his blade bounce off the shield. The sheer force of his own attack forced him to take a few steps back to recover, his arm actually hurting from the impact.

 

Riku winced in pain when Smith casted the shield, causing his Keyblade to bounce off of it and make him stumble backward. He absently rubbed at his upper arm, that being where the shock had stopped from the impact.

Both of Roxas's Keyblades came down on the shield, which only meant double-trouble for him. He felt a shock travel up both of his arms, also impacting his already injured shoulder. He cried out at the pain, his eyes squeezing shut as his grasp on his blades loosened.

 

The moment the shield disappeared, Smith jumped back away from the stunned boys, casting Dark Aura. Then, though, he focused a spell he just learned from Sora, thinking of the ice ball that had been launched towards him. The edge of his gunblade glowed faintly before the ice appeared, the man shooting it at the brunet.

Sora saw the fireballs coming in at him, which made his eyes widen. He swung his keyblade and deflected them, only to see a Blizzaga attack coming in at him. He cried out, unable to defend himself against the attack that sent him stumbling backwards.

 

Riku saw a few of the Dark Aura orbs coming at him, so he slashed at them with his fighting arm, sending them back the way they came if they didn't head to the dark sky above them.

Roxas felt his form get pushed back, his feet sliding slightly against the ground as he neglected to protect himself against the blue Firaga orbs. He winced in pain, his eyes squeezing shut tighter. He had to get his act together!

 

Smith looked from Sora to Roxas, seeing that both of the boys seemed to be in bad positions. Roxas, however, was closer. He charged the few steps between them and swung his gunblade, a battle cry leaving his lips as he performed the action.

 

Roxas heard quick footsteps and opened his eyes, only to have them widen. That was all he had time for, the blond feeling Smith's gunblade impact him. He cried out in pain, his eyes squeezing shut as he was knocked into the air and sent back a few feet. Roxas's body landed roughly on the floor, his blades clattering onto the ground next to his form as he groaned at the power behind Smith's attack.

 

Namine gasped form her position, seeing Roxas lying on the ground without holding onto his weapons. Roxas! she mentally cried, concern rising up inside her at the sight. She shifted her gaze to Smith, instantly struggling against the Heartless that held her captive when she realized what he was about to do.

Sora recovered from the Blizzaga attack just in time to see Smith standing over Roxas, which instantly made his eyes widen. But what was he supposed to do; he couldn't get there quickly enough!!

Smith stepped forward quickly, not allowing Roxas to recover from the hit that he had just landed. He swung his blade at the Nobody once more, inwardly excited that he was about to seriously wound his enemy.

 

Roxas opened his eyes when he sensed a presence over him, and he didn't hesitate bringing up an arm when he saw what was happening. He sucked in a breath, preparing for the pain.

Riku's body appeared immediately in front of Roxas's when he tried to call up Dark Shield, but he casted it a little too late. The silver-haired teen grunted when he felt Smith's blade strike his chest. Riku ground his teeth together to fight off the urge to scream at the pain, though a sound much like a gasp escaped him.

Kairi's eyes widened at what just occurred, the girl not able to find her voice as she stared in shock at her best friend. Riku!

 

Sora gasped, startled when he saw Riku appear in front of Roxas and try to defend him. His surprise changed to fury, though, when he saw the attacker take a few steps back and prepare to swing again. Suddenly recalling yet another move from Castle Oblivion, he rushed forward in a blur, his Keyblade knocking Smith flying back half a second after his initial charge.

 

Riku fell to one knee, his hand holding Way to Dawn on the floor to balance himself as his other came up to his chest. He winced at the pain, a rough grunt leaving his throat as the wound burned. He was slightly aware of Sora's attack, even if his eyes were on the ground.

Roxas opened his eyes in time to see Riku fall to the ground and Sora strike Smith. His eyes widened at the sudden turn of events, his eyes instantly falling on Riku again. Why did he do that? he thought, but he realized he needed to get up. He pushed himself up from the ground, wincing at the pain that was still in his body from Smith's attack. He grabbed his Keyblades in the process, knowing that things were just now heating up.

 

Sora saw Smith land safely on his feet a few yards away, which infuriated him. This man just wouldn't die! And worse than that, he had just hurt Riku. He swung his blade at Smith, only to have it deflected. He kept attacking, though, buying his friends some time while at the same time trying to bring Smith down.

Namine's eyes were wide, seeing that Riku was just injured while trying to protect Roxas. She saw Roxas getting to his feet, so she looked at her other friend with concerned eyes. Was he okay?

 

Roxas took a step forward, his eyes going down to Riku. He could tell that the older teen was in pain, though he felt the need to ask his next question anyway. "Are you--"

"I'm fine," Riku answered immediately, having known what Roxas was going to ask. He winced at the pain in his chest. "Go. Help...Sora," he said, having to pause a little due to the burning in his chest. He was on the sidelines now, as much as he hated it.

Roxas nodded once and took a step over but then stopped. "Thanks," he said, staring down at Riku before he finally ran off, his grasp on his blades tight as he went to help Sora with Smith.

 

Sora finally impacted Smith, sending the man stumbling back a few feet. He ran forward and swung at him again, only to find out that Smith recovered very quickly. Smith struck his shoulder, forcing him to grunt in pain and stumble to the side a few steps.

Smith saw the blow hit, but that didn't hinder him from attacking again. He summoned a dark portal behind Sora and kicked the kid in, rushing in after him and disappearing from the Realm of Darkness as they reappeared in the same location they had teleported to last time they battled.
