Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

"Touche." Roxas felt himself smirk slightly as he led Namine through her house, slowing his pace when he reached the closed door to the room. He remembered how it hadn't taken long to move all the furniture around the room, but it did make him sweat slightly when he did it. Regardless, it was worth it; this was going to be great.

 

Namine slowed down when Roxas did, arching a brow when she saw that the door to the den was shut. She hardly ever used that room, and she couldn't help but wonder what was in there. She subconsciously squeezed Roxas' hand, looking to the door.

 

Roxas stopped in front of the door and set his free hand on the knob, his eyes falling on Namine. "One more surprise," he said to her softly. His gaze lingered on her and then he turned the knob, pushing the door open. The room that was revealed was one with an open floor, the furniture pushed to the sides, as lights hung from the ceiling and provided a little decoration. There were also some candles on the tables that were near the walls, a stereo not too far away.

 

Namine looked away from Roxas when the door was opened, her eyes landing on the open floor. She took a small step forward to be right by Roxas' shoulder, though she was still a little behind him as she looked over everything. Candles, an open floor, a stereo...She pieced things together quickly, realizing that Roxas had dancing in mind.

 

Roxas moved his eyes from the room to the person standing next to him, the boy tightening his grasp on her hand. He couldn't help but feel a bit of joy at her expression, knowing that it alone was enough.

 

Namine blinked when Roxas tightened his grip on her hand, the girl turning her head to look up at him a little bit. She felt a soft smile appear on her lips, her eyes showing that she realized what he brought her here for. She thought it was an adorable idea. She was in awe of how romantic Roxas was being tonight, but she wasn't against it at all. It was nice to have a night like this after all the chaos they endured in the past few weeks.

 

"Come on," Roxas encouraged gently, motioning inside the room with a small movement of his head. He led Namine into the room, eyes set on the stereo. First thing he had to do: get the music going. That was definitely needed.

 

Namine kept her light hold on Roxas' hand, following him into the den. She couldn't help but look around, seeing how he had pushed all the furniture against the walls so that it wouldn't be in the way. She didn't know how he came up with this idea, but she wasn't about to ask; she couldn't really find her voice at that moment, anyway.

 

As they crossed the room, Roxas let go of Namine's hand when they reached the middle. He, however, kept walking and approached the stereo. It was already turned on from his rearrangement earlier that afternoon, so he simply pushed play.

 

Namine folded her hands in front of her after she subconsciously straightened her sundress, her eyes landing on a series of candles on a stand. She had stopped walking when Roxas released her hand, and she saw out of the corner of her eye that he just pushed a button on the stereo. I can't believe he's doing this, Namine thought, in awe of how romantic and sweet her boyfriend was being.

 

Soft music filled the room, and Roxas turned around to face the girl waiting in the middle of the room. He smiled slightly as he gazed at her, starting forward. This was the last thing he had in mind for her, but he knew it wasn't going to end quickly.

 

Namine felt a soft gaze on her, and she immediately knew that Roxas was looking at her. She turned her head to look at him, her sky blue eyes finding his as he started over toward her. She heard the music coming from the stereo, but her focus was on his eyes.

 

Roxas stopped once he was close enough to Namine and bowed formally, his eyes lowering to the floor for a moment as he held out his hand. "May I have this dance, m'lady?" he asked, lifting his eyes to her then and smiling.

 

Namine stiffled a giggle, a smile on her lips as she gracefully curtsied. "Yes you can, sir," she said, her eyes on Roxas' hand as she lifted her own and set it in his. Then her gaze went up to his eyes again, her smile staying on her lips as she looked at him.

 

Roxas's smile grew as he straightened up, at the same time pulling Namine closer to him. His other hand found her waist, the boy looking down at her eyes with his own bright blue. The music filled the room and he then started to sway in the space he created earlier on in the day.

 

When Roxas pulled her closer, Namine lifted her free hand, setting it on Roxas' shoulder. She looked into his eyes as she danced with him, hearing that somebody was singing in the song now. She took in a soft breath and listened, knowing that Roxas must have selected this music very carefully.

Roxas's smile softened as he danced with Namine, his eyes resting on her. Nothing needed to be said and nothing understood other than what the music around them expressed. Roxas picked the music to fit his and Namine's relationship, and their lives.

 

Namine exhaled a soft breath, composed on the outside but baffled on the inside. The lyrics to this song were already really sweet, and they just finished the first verse. She held back her urge to blush, continuing to listen to the lyrics of the music.

Roxas continued to sway with Namine, at the same time listening to the lyrics and thinking about them. He was a strong believer in the fact that music could speak what words couldn't, and because of his love for music, it was all the more true. He hoped Namine realized what the lyrics meant, coming from him. It was important, this whole night was.

 

Namine felt her eyes get a little moist, the lyrics impacting her. She knew that all these questions were ones that Roxas was asking her at that moment, and she knew her answer was reflected in her eyes. Yes. She wanted him to be that person for her; she couldn't ever see anybody else who cared for her the way that Roxas did, and she doubt she ever would. That was perfectly alright with her; Roxas provided her with everything she needed, even when she didn't fully know what that meant in her own mind.
