Roxas's eyes were set on Namine's, and he noticed that their color was a little brighter. But they also appeared a bit moist. He subconsciously squeezed her hand that was still in his as they swayed, the boy smiling down at the girl he loved. He knew then that Namine did realize what he was trying to say, and that made him feel lighter.

 

Namine felt Roxas squeeze her hand lightly, and the look in his eyes made a soft smile appear on her lips. They didn't need to say anything to each other; the music expressed Roxas' thoughts, and Namine's eyes reflected hers. It was a perfect moment.

Roxas kept his eyes on Namine, never looking away. They were connecting in a pure and honest way, and he didn't want to break it. Not after all they had experienced lately--when he left a couple months ago, when Namine went through her own tragedy, when he came back but wasn't completely himself, and then the incident with Jeff once more. It all needed to be overcome, and Roxas believed this was one of the final steps to doing that.

 

Namine blinked, but otherwise, her gaze stayed on Roxas' ocean blue eyes. She couldn't tear herself away from looking at him, and by the look in his eye, he was experiencing the same thing she was. Her soft smile grew a little bit, the music slowing down as the chorus started again.

Roxas subconsciously brought Namine closer to him as the music continued, the boy knowing that the song was coming to an end pretty soon. He continued to dance with the girl in his arms, his sight never leaving her.

 

Namine listened to what was left of the music, realizing that it was coming to an end. It surprised her, just how quickly the whole thing flew by. She was a little sad, but at the same time, she had enjoyed the perfect song and dance while it lasted. The song came to an end, the singer saying one more thing before the music faded out.

May I...?

 

Roxas realized that the music faded out and the room became quiet, but he didn't stop dancing. There was another song that had yet to play, one he believed also expressed his thoughts. Namine seemed to react well to the last song, so he hoped their would be a similar result.

 

Namine kept moving with Roxas, though the music was silent now. That had been a really sweet song, and later she would have to ask Roxas what it was called. She could have asked him right there and then, but the look in his eyes had her stay quiet, the girl mesmerized by their brightness tonight.

 

Roxas felt his smile grow a little when a guitar suddenly started playing throughout the room, the other song beginning. He continued to sway with Namine as he gazed down at her, feeling his heart grow warm as the lyrics were added, ones that were true to his heart.

Namine wasn't overly surprised when another song started, though she was surprised at the lyrics. They were simple, but the words spoke to her heart, just like the other song. A soft smile stayed on her lips as she gazed at Roxas, dancing to the music with him.

 

Roxas looked down on Namine and couldn't feel anything but his love and happiness. She caused that in him, he knew. He had been a wreck when he got home, but there was a part of him that believed she changed him sometimes, chased away the darkness.

Namine kept her eyes glued to Roxas', an unknown force keeping her gaze on him. However, then she realized that she was wrong; she knew what was keeping her looking at Roxas. It was love, in its purest form. She always felt love for him, but it didn't always come thought like it was now. And she felt glad it was happening now; Roxas deserved to know what she felt for him.

 

And that's beautiful, Roxas thought as his eyes held onto Namine's. The fact that she could make him lighter with just her presence, he knew it was one thing that hadn't changed while he was away. She really was his light. It was beautiful to him, as was she, just like the song implied.

Namine mentally scolded herself, feeling her eyes become a little moist once more as she listened to the music. She held onto Roxas' hand a little more tightly without thought, though her sky blue eyes stayed on his the entire time. She found that she couldn't look away, not that she wanted to in the first place.

 

Roxas couldn't help but smile at the pressure he felt on his hand. He swayed gently with Namine, his head leaning to the side a little as he admired the beauty of the girl before him. He remembered the first time he saw her, and how awkward he had been. He was like that when he first got home too. Namine's presence did that to him after a while of absence.

Namine noticed Roxas's soft smile get a little bigger, and she couldn't help but allow her smile to grow as well. She loved him, with all her heart. And she could tell by the songs that he had picked out that he felt the same was that she did. Her heart leaped inside her chest, the girl listening as the song continued.

 

Roxas lowered his head as the music continued, his eyes closing when his lips made contact with Namine's forehead. He waited for a second before pulling back, closing his eyes and leaning his forehead against her own. The past month or so had been good to him, other than a few mishaps. They treated him better than the two off Earth had, and he knew it was because of Namine.

Namine exhaled a soft breath, her eyes having fallen shut the moment Roxas kissed her forehead. She didn't know what to say; there wasn't anything she could say. But then again, she thought the silence was fine at expressing what she was feeling at that moment. Peace. Tranquility. Love. All of it was hovering in the air around her as she swayed with Roxas, her forehead against his.

 

Roxas continued swaying with Namine, his forehead against hers, until the guitar faded and it was silent in the den. He opened his eyes and looked at Namine, his dancing slowing even more until he was still.

 

Namine kept her eyes shut, the girl stopping her movement when Roxas did. Though the songs were done, she didn't feel any pressure to open her eyes. She leaned up a little bit and gave Roxas a light kiss on the lips before she withdrew her previous position, her forehead still against his.
