Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Nathaniel stumbled forward, wincing at the pain in his side from Sora's attack. The kid was fast, he had to give him that. That was perhaps going to be Nathaniel's disadvantage; the Keyblade master had incredible speed, and not only one but two blades, which was unheard of. The Prince recovered and immediately charged forward, rushing toward Sora.

 

Sora saw the Prince charging at him and he quickly spun around on his feet, setting them in a position so that he could deflect the blow. He lifted his Keyblades in a preparation to defend himself, his bright blue eyes taking in every movement that Nathaniel made.

 

Nathaniel rushed into Sora with his shield, meaning to push the boy back. He wasn't going to lose; he needed the Princess for his kingdom, and to become king of the throne. Sora wasn't going to stop him.

 

Sora formed an "X" with his Keyblades at the last minute, seeing what Nathaniel intended to do. His weapons pressed against the sheild, his feet sliding a little bit on the floor due to the force Nathaniel put into the push.

 

Nathaniel grunted at the impact, immediately feeling the pressure against his shield from Sora's blades. The Prince used that force to push up his shield and swing his sword horizontally at the same time, hoping the movement of his shield had caused Sora's blades to move up as well, leaving the boy vulnerable.

 

Because his Keyblades were set up the way they were, Sora's weapons stayed in contact with Nathaniel's shield even after he moved it up. He saw the sword coming for his stomach and he realized that he wouldn't be able to defend the blow. Unless..."Fire!" Sora cried, balls of fire appearing around him as he cast the spell.

 

Nathaniel cried out not only in surprise but also pain, feeling his sword arm burning from the magic. Magic... He should have remembered! The Keyblade Master could wield everything, both physical skills and magical. He stumbled back, the heat leaving him.

Kairi closed her eyes at the cry, recognizing it as one of Nathan's...or Prince Nathaniel's. She couldn't bear to watch, because simply being able to hear it was bad enough. She cared so much for both of these boys, or she did, having been tricked... She was so confused, the girl's eyes squeezing shut even tighter at the thoughts.

 

Sora winced, feeling the tip of Nathaniel's blade cut his stomach despite the fact that the spell was cast. His magic protected him from being attacked more heavily, so he was grateful for that. He took a few steps back himself, stopping a few feet back and standing as if he were about to charge forward.

 

Nathaniel knew one thing he was never supposed to do in a fight: hesitate. So he did the opposite; he jumped on the opportunity to charge at Sora, doing so now. His feet ran across the hard floor of the building, sword raised to attack and shield in front of him for defense.

 

But when Sora saw Nathaniel taking the initiative, he changed his strategy. He bent his knees and rolled over to the side, doing two rolls so that he ended up behind Nathaniel.

 

Nathaniel skidded to a halt, his charge coming to an end. He had seen the Keyblade master roll away, so he started to turn around to find the boy and attack.

 

Sora threw Oathkeeper at Nathaniel, his throw strong and fast despite the fact that he used his left hand. After a second, he ran forward, using Oathkeeper as a diversion so he could get a clear hit on that stupid, wicked Prince.

 

Nathaniel's eyes widened at the quickly-approaching Keyblade and he lifted his shield just in time to block the blow. He heard the metal blade bounce off his shield, the Prince feeling a rush of relief wash over him before he remembered one thing: his shield was blocking his view of Sora.

 

Sora saw Oathkeeper fly off to his right, but that area was empty so he let it go. He gripped the Kingdom Key with both hands and swung it horizontally, aiming to hit Nathaniel in the middle of his torso.

 

Nathaniel lowered his shield but not in time. He cried out in pain at a sharp and stinging sensation that burned his torso, knowing Sora had gotten him with one of his blades.

 

Sora then summoned Oathkeeper back into his grasp, not letting up. The moment he was done swinging the Kingdom Key, he ducked, swinging Oathkeeper at Nathaniel's lower legs in a way to knock him down.

 

Nathaniel suddenly felt something hit his legs, the boy falling backward and getting the wind knocked out of him. He winced as he tried to catch his breath, at the same time becoming very angered. Sora was too quick for him, he realized. If things didn't turn in his favor soon, he was going to have to resort to something that would make him greater than Sora, in more ways than one.

 

Sora took a quick step over to the side, not stabbing Nathaniel in the heart like he should have. He had some more pain he wanted to inflict on the person who caused him and Kairi so much pain and heartbreak. He lifted a foot and forcibly stepped on Nathaniel's shield, which was strapped onto his wrist so tightly that Sora's action must have caused him great pain.

 

Nathaniel gathered enough breath to let out a scream of agony, his wrist feeling like it was on fire from the force put on his shield. His eyes closed tightly and his scream faded. Once that happened, he swung his sword over his body and in the direction of where his pain was coming from, hoping to somehow hit Sora.

Kairi clutched Sora's leather coat tighter to her chest, wincing faintly at the sound of Nathaniel's pain. This was torturous to listen to, but she couldn't leave.

 

Sora's eyes widened when he saw Nathaniel's sword, and he knew that he had made a foolish move of standing where he did. He jumped to the side, but the sword cut his arm, drawing blood as well as a gasp from the brunet. He took a few steps back in recovery, ignoring his flesh wound as he stared at Nathaniel.
