Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Nathaniel grunted as he pushed himself up from the ground. He angrily threw his shield to the side, wincing at the pain it brought his wrist; there was no point in having it now. He couldn't use that wrist any longer due to the pain. He would try one more time, but if his attempt didn't work, he would resort to power Sora would not be happy to face.

 

Sora saw Nathaniel rising to his feet and he charged forward, a battle cry leaving his lips. He had a lot of anger against Nathaniel, and that wrath was rightly placed. The wicked Prince tried to ruin his life, and tried to steal his lover. ...Actually, maybe he had already done both of those things.

 

Nathaniel heard the cry quick footsteps behind him and whirled around, holding up his sword. It was then that he heard the clash of metal, and he knew he had blocked Sora's attack.

 

Sora grunted, his blades forming an "X" as he pressed against Nathaniel's blade. "You made a grave mistake, keeping me fighting Heartless for four months," he said darkly, his piercing blue eyes on the dark green ones in front of him. He was much stronger than he ever was before, and he had a more battle-oriented mind after the non-stop fighting.

 

"I've noticed," Nathaniel growled, pressing back against Sora's blades. The plan had turned for the worse in all. He and his father had planned on Sora failing to complete his mission, to fall to the Heartless after leaving his love behind. Without it, they figured he would be weaker, but it turned out it had only made him stronger.

 

"You weren't expecting me to come back from that, were you?" Sora asked in a low voice, pressing hard against Nathaniel's sword. Though he felt he knew the answer, he wanted to hear Nathaniel say it himself.

 

"No," Nathaniel answered, his voice tight. But then it turned dark. "I expected you to die." He glared into the blue eyes that were piercing him as well, knowing that since that hadn't happened, he would have to kill the boy himself.

The boy's voices echoed throughout the room, and Kairi faintly heard them, making her want to cry. But she couldn't, not now. It would only make things harder to deal with, make things more difficult for Sora. If he saw her like that, she had a feeling it wouldn't go over well.

 

Sora furrowed his brows deeply, Nathaniel confirming his suspicions. "Sorry to disappoint you," he said sarcastically. "But maybe you haven't heard: I don't die easily." After all the battles he had fought, whether it was in the past four months or in his lifetime, Nathaniel should have expected him to be very strong and capable in battle.

 

Nathaniel ground his teeth together, more anger sparking inside him at Sora's words. He pushed as hard as he could against the boy's blades, pushing Sora off him and swinging his sword to try and land a hit.

 

Sora felt himself being pushed back a step, Nathaniel's sword coming in at him. He smirked and summoned Oathkeeper away, only needing one Keyblade to perform the move he was about to do. He brought his Keyblade over Nathaniel's and lowered both swords to the ground, effectively pinning his enemy so he couldn't attack.

 

Nathaniel was surprised when he sword was suddenly pinned to the ground, and he tried to pull it from Sora's blade. The Keyblade master was making him look and feel like a fool, and that was not okay with Nathaniel.

 

Sora remembered back to Castle Oblivion, when he had been fighting Riku. Riku had him pinned down and then he used his Keyblade as support when he kicked him in the head and shoulder. And now, Sora was about to do the same thing. He balanced himself using the Kingdom Key and then brought up both of his legs, one foot heading for Nathaniel's shoulder while the other went for his head.

 

Nathaniel grunted when he felt something impact his shoulder first, and then he stumbled over when he felt sharp pain in the side of his head. He fell to the ground and hit his head hard on the floor, no longer holding onto his sword.

 

Sora landed smoothly, crouching before he rose to his feet. "Mistake Number Two," he started, glaring at his opponent on the ground, "was letting me be with Riku for four months. Thanks to that, I've learned countless attacks, such as the one that you just experienced."

 

Nathaniel shook his head, temporarily in a daze. After Sora's words registered, the Prince pushed himself up from the ground, standing up straight after a moment. "You...have also made a mistake," he said slowly, his fury coming through in his dark voice. "Do not underestimate me, Keyblade bearer." Nathaniel's hands were balled into tight fists, but he was about to show his anger in its true form.

 

Sora kept the Kingdom Key in his right hand, staring at his opponent. "I'm not," he said seriously. "I see that you're talented in battle. You're strong. But you're not nearly as strong as what I've faced in the past few months." Sora knew that he could take down Nathaniel much more easily then he could take down, say...an illusion Heartless. He had come very close to death with that experience, but he was stronger because of it. And he had the knowledge that he could defeat anyone that came in his way, even this wicked Prince.

 

"Think that...if you wish," Nathaniel stated, his breathing becoming heavier. His knuckles turned white for how tight he had them in fists, and he took in a breath before his back arched, the boy releasing a scream of agony. He summoned the darkness to him, bringing in more power. Sora was about to face the Prince's fury in its true form, and it would surely not be easy for him to defeat.

 

Sora gasped in surprise, lifting his arms and summoning Oathkeeper back into his left hand as he hurriedly took a few steps back, standing between the Prince and Kairi. He could tell that Nathaniel was calling on the darkness for help. Let him summon all the darkness he wants, Sora thought seriously, eyebrows furrowed over his bright blue eyes. He still won't defeat me.

 

Kairi pressed herself farther against the wall as she listened to Nathaniel scream. It was when she saw his form change before her that her eyes widened, and she found herself looking up at him, his scream fading. Her grasp on Sora's jacket loosened slightly when she recognized just what he had turned into. A huge, silver, fire-breathing dragon.

 

Sora stopped backing up after a few steps, out of direct reach from the dragon and still a safe distance away from Kairi. He hadn't expected Nathaniel to turn into the fire-breathing creature, but it didn't make a difference to him. Losing wasn't an option. Kairi's life was on the line, as well as his own. He would defeat Nathaniel, and he wouldn't die, because he was stronger than that.
