Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Namine stepped up to the door and opened it without bothering to think about if anybody else was there. Who else would have been there, right? She blinked when she saw who was actually at her front door; it wasn't Roxas. And because of her sad emotional state, she didn't comprehend who it was quickly enough.

Jeff smirked, staring at the girl who was blankly looking at him. "Haven't shipped me off yet!" he laughed. He brought a hand forward and set it over Namine's mouth just as she was about to cry out, muffling the sound. He pushed her back hard while keeping his hand over her lips as he entered her home. "Payback time."

 

Go back. The words were like a trigger in Roxas's mind, because he suddenly was heading back the way he came, turning the corner and marching down the street to return to Namine's house. He was going to apologize, and he was hoping she would accept it.

 

Once Jeff was a few steps inside, he kicked the door shut behind him. But because of a gust of wind, the door wasn't shut completely, leaving it open about half a foot. "Move," he ordered, setting both of his hands on Namine's shoulders. "We're going to pick up where we left off last week. And this time, there won't be any interruptions."

Namine looked at Jeff with wide eyes, stumbling when he kept pushing her backwards. He pushed her through the living room doorway and into a wall, the same wall he had pressed her up against last week. "Stop," she pleaded, lip trembling.

Jeff merely smirked, removing a hand off Namine's shoulder as he reached into his pocket. He pulled out a pocket knife--the one he had stolen. The one that Roxas had given to Namine so that she could protect herself. He held onto her right shoulder so hard that she couldn't move his arm as he slid the sharp knife along the palm of her hand, drawing blood as well as a gasp from the girl.

 

Roxas thought of various ways he could apologize as he walked down the sidewalk, almost to Namine's house. "Namine, I'm sorry that I was so... No." He shook his head. "Namine, I wanted to say sorry for being... Ugh." Roxas ran his hand through his hair as he turned down the path to Namine's doorstep.

 

Namine whimpered at the cut, the pain hitting her hard at the moment. She tried to squirm out of Jeff's grasp, instinct trying to save her despite how mentally panicked she was. She was having a hard time piecing together her thoughts due to the crazy emotional roller coaster she had gone through less than five minutes before Jeff arrived.

Jeff gripped Namine's shoulder more tightly, squeezing a cry out of her. "Stop," he hissed. "You're not slipping out of my grasp. Not again. Today is my day." Nobody would come for the girl, so that meant that he was free to do whatever he pleased. Even if he still was going to be sent away, it wouldn't matter as long as he got what he wanted out of Namine.

 

Roxas still fumbled with the spikes on the back of his head when he stepped up to the porch and approached the door. But that was when he stopped short. Roxas stared at the door and blinked in confusion, his hand slowly reaching toward the front door. Why was it open? He remembered that he had shut it firmly behind him when he left...

 

"You're sick," Namine snapped, her voice soft. "This isn't going to help you, Jeff! You'll get in even more trouble when they find out you were stupid enough to do this again." She was desperate now to try and get out of her current position. Her shoulder and hand were throbbing and she knew that she was in serious trouble now.

"Shut up!" Jeff screamed. He shut the pocket knife in his hand and pulled Namine forward roughly before he pushed her back against the wall with both hands. A picture frame fell off the wall as a testament to the strength behind the push. That, and Namine's whimper showed that it was a painful move. Good. That was making things much more fun for Jeff.

 

As Roxas cautiously pushed the door open, he heard something crash and a loud voice, which immediately caught his attention. His eyes widened slightly and he moved forward to the living room, not bothering to shut the door behind him. "Namine!" he called.

 

Namine's eyes widened at the voice, as did Jeff's. "Ro--mm!" The last part of her cry was muffled when Jeff lifted his hand and set it against her mouth, the pocket knife falling to the ground. She looked from the doorway to Jeff when he squeezed her shoulder roughly, another muffled cry leaving her lips.

Jeff hurt Namine once more, turning his head toward the doorway in disbelief. No...It's impossible! he thought, eyebrows furrowed. Nobody was supposed to come for her, let alone the person who had called to her. He hadn't been around for a long time! How was it he managed to come back now of all times?

 

Roxas didn't see anyone in the living room, so he moved quickly through the room only to stop short at the doorway. His eyes widened at the sight before him, looking straight at Namine before shifting his gaze to the guy pinning her against the wall. Roxas's eyes instantly hardened and he gritted his teeth. Jeff.

 

Jeff's back was slightly facing Roxas, so he knew he was in a bad position. But then he remembered why Roxas was sending him that glare. It was all because of the girl he had pinned against the wall. In a desperate move, he brought his hand off Namine's mouth and pulled her off the wall and in front of him, one arm wrapping around her upper torso. As long as she was in the way, Roxas wouldn't be able to hurt him. It was as simple as that.

Namine's eyes widened at the movement, the relief she felt at Roxas' reappearance being covered by fear and pain when Jeff held her tightly. She lifted a hand and grabbed the arm, trying to get it off of her. But Jeff was much stronger than she was, so there was no escape.

 

Roxas's eyebrows furrowed in disgust and anger at Jeff, and his move. "Coward," he spat darkly. Even Roxas knew that move was out of desperation, but as he switched his sight to Namine, he knew there wasn't anything he could do without possibly hurting her. He was at a disadvantage.

 

Namine tried to see Jeff's face after Roxas' comment, but because of her position, she couldn't see his expression. Her gaze shifted to Roxas, seeing that his gaze was now resting on her. She could practically see the wheels turning in his head, her boyfriend seeing he couldn't get to Jeff without hurting her.

Jeff pulled Namine closer to him, causing her pain in the process. "No, it's called 'being smart,'" he responded evenly. Namine was acting as his shield now, and up against Roxas, this was the best shield her could hope for. He was fortunate he had thought of the move so quickly, because as long as he had her, he himself would be unharmed. Namine, though, she would go through some more pain.

 

Roxas tore his eyes away from Namine's and instead glared at Jeff. His hands tightened into fists. "Oh really? Well, Einstein, tell me what exactly you plan to do now," he said, his attitude coming through. Let's see, he had Namine against him, blocking Roxas from getting there. But what was he going to do now? He knew that if he moved, Roxas was just going to follow, and eventually find a way around this.

 

Jeff furrowed his brows at Roxas' demand. "Alright, if you really want to know, I'll tell you," he said, not missing a beat. He was thinking on his feet now, but that wasn't a bad thing, for he had just come up with a great idea. "I'll stand here and hurt her and you won't be able to stop me. And I won't stop until I feel like I've paid back all the damage you've done to me in the past."

Namine's eyes widened, hearing Jeff's plans. Until he's paid back all the pain Roxas put him through? That was a lot of pain! And Namine doubted he would do it to the point where it was equal pain; he would take it much further than that if he had the chance. She had seen the look in his eyes earlier and she knew he was yearning to cause her a lot of hurt.

 

Roxas's eyes widened slightly, but then returned to their sharp state. "You wouldn't dare," he said, voice dark as he slowly took one step closer. His eyes were locked on Jeff, the boy having the urge to either summon his blades to his hands or punch the guy square in the face. But he couldn't.

 

Jeff held Roxas' glare, his lips turning up into a smirk. "You and I both know that I would dare," he said. He paused for a moment though, his smirk widening. "Don't worry though, I'll try not to mess up her pretty little face."

Namine gripped at Jeff's arm more tightly with her hand, trying to get it off of her once again. She couldn't let him do this! Roxas couldn't get her out of this position, not the way they were standing. It was up to her to find some way out of this...but how?

Jeff lowered his hand and gripped Namine's cut hand by her side, pressing his thumb hard against the bleeding cut. The action drew out a cry from her, but her only frowned at it. "Stop squirming!" he hissed in her ear. "The more you squirm, the worse I make it hurt."

 

Roxas's eyes darted down to Namine's hand instantly at the motion, his eyes turning alarmed at the blood that covered her palm. "Knock it off!" he roared, taking another step forward. There was still a few feet between them, but Roxas knew he couldn't do anything. His fists tightened, and he was sure his knuckles were turning white. He couldn't protect Namine, couldn't save her... It was torture.

 

Namine felt tears appear in her eyes because of the pain and she turned her head to the side so Roxas wouldn't have to see the pain in her eyes. There was no way out of this. Unless got tired and couldn't keep a hold of her any longer, which she doubted would happen.

Jeff looked from the palm of Namine's hand back up to Roxas, momentarily surprised at the harsh outburst. He released her hand, but he shifted his arm around her torso, bringing it closer to her neck so he could hold her better. "Why should I?" he retorted. "I warned you ahead of time what I was going to do, after all. Don't you appreciate that at all?" His voice held a mock-politeness behind it, the teen fully aware that he was antagonizing Roxas. But he was in a position where he could, so he was going to do just that and enjoy it.

 

"I don't appreciate anything you do," Roxas replied darkly. "But I will warn you of what I'm going to do to you. Once you let go of her, I hope you know that you're dead." His voice was low and harsh, making the threat that much worse. But he was telling the truth. Jeff was in a lot of trouble with Roxas once he let Namine go.
