Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Namine released Roxas and opened her tear filled eyes. She released her boyfriend, a wide smiling appearing on her lips. "I don't know; it just came to me!" she exclaimed, setting a hand on Roxas knee. She tried her best to keep the tears in her eyes, surprised at how easily the tears of joy came to her.

 

Roxas's eyes were big in happiness, his smile wide with excitement. "Namine," he laughed, just simply saying her name because he was so full of joy. She actually remembered... Her memory was back...

 

Namine couldn't suppress her tears anymore, so a few slid down her cheeks. But the smile that had appeared during her conversation with Roxas stayed as she gazed into those bright, happy blue orbs. Gosh, she loved him...she understood her feelings now, and that was a huge relief.

 

Roxas couldn't help but let a few soft laughs leave him as he lifted a hand to Namine's cheek, gently brushing those tears away. He couldn't believe this... Namine actually had her full memory back! Everything!

 

Namine shut her eyes and exhaled a shaky breath, enjoying Roxas' presence more than she could put into words. She had missed his touch...even if they had been together this past week, no moment could even come close to this one.

 

"I'm so happy for you," Roxas said finally, the excitement and happiness in his voice. His grin was still there, but slightly faded. His eyes, however, held the same amount of joy. Roxas couldn't hide the way he felt--it was simply impossible for him.

 

Namine smiled softly, opening her eyes. She brought her hand off of Roxas' knee and touched his hand on her face. "I'm happy for us," she said softly, tears finally starting to subside.

 

Roxas nodded in confirmation, completely agreeing with that statement. He couldn't control himself any longer, not when things were so...great. The boy leaned forward and brought his lips to Namine's, not able to hold back that urge anymore.

 

Namine shut her eyes and kissed Roxas back, tears immediately running again. How many tears can I cry in one morning?! she thought, not sure whether she was amused or alarmed. It didn't matter. She brought a hand and lightly set it on the back of Roxas' neck.

 

Roxas's hand remained cupping Namine's cheek as he kissed her, feeling something wet hit his fingertips. Regardless, he continued to kiss her. He knew the tears were of joy, not sadness. Not anymore.

 

Namine fingered the spikes on the back of Roxas' neck, exactly like she used to do. Used to do? No, that was only a little over a week ago! She wasn't going to think of it that way...she was going to think of it as normal, because she was always going to love and treasure Roxas, whether it was through small actions or words.

 

Roxas kissed Namine for another moment before he couldn't hold back his smile. He pulled away gently, eyes opening as he chuckled. He was just so happy... Those emotions were completely different from a week ago, back at the park.

 

Namine felt a smile spread on her lips as well as a blush. She couldn't really explain the latter except that it was caused by her happiness. She exhaled silently, keeping her eyes shut as she tried to stop the fall of tears.

 

Roxas watched Namine, his smile softening. "Nam..." he said softly, joy in his voice. He wiped at her tears gently, trying to stop them from running down her now rosy cheeks. She looked beautiful, as always. There was emphasis on it this morning, and he could only put that on the happiness radiating from her.

 

Namine opened her bright blue eyes and immediately found Roxas' shining blue orbs. When she saw his soft smile, she made hers match his. She leaned her head lightly against his hand, her eyes staying connected with his.

 

Roxas stroked Namine's cheek once as his smile began to soften. "You know," he started, eyes on hers, "we should celebrate." Dinner, a movie, back to the cafe for another smoothie... Anything. Roxas was sure his other two friends would want to hear about this as well, and join in on the celebration.

 

Namine smiled softly, bringing up a hand. She lightly set it on Roxas' on her face, her eyes never leaving him. "I have an idea," she said. "Let's go to that new Italian restaurant. I can probably get us a discount; the owner's a friend of my dad's."

 

Roxas arched an eyebrow. "Really?" he asked. He wasn't expecting something so nice, but it would fit perfectly for the situation at hand. Of course, he wouldn't mind if it was expensive--he would pay whatever amount of money, because Namine deserved the celebration regardless.

 

Namine nodded slightly, careful not to make Roxas' hand slide off her face. "Mmhmm," she said. "And my dad left me some spending money while he's off on his business trip...he told me to treat myself to something nice," she said with a smile. "I'd say this fits that category."

 

Roxas smiled again, the boy nodding. "Okay. Sounds great!" A discount at such a nice place, and Italian too--his favorite. He was pretty excited for this.
