Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

This time, Sora was completely unprepared for Roxas to steal his phone. "Hey!" he cried, leaning over the table. "Give it back!!"

Namine couldn't suppress her laughter now. She giggled and brought her hand off Roxas arm and to her mouth, the girl surprised at just how quickly the situation had changed. Now it seemed like Sora was the victim again, since he had nothing to hold against Roxas.

 

Roxas hid the phone behind him, between his back and the booth as he looked at Sora, a smirk forming. "Your advantage over me can easily be deleted," he teased. Blue eyes were on blue. "All it takes is one press of a button."

Kairi giggled, not able to keep it inside. The tables had turned so quickly, and the way the two boys were teasing each other was humorous.

 

Sora growled softly, leaning back but still sitting on the edge of his seat. How could I let him get my phone?! he thought, mentally screaming at himself for his mistake. "Roxas..." he said threateningly, his bright blue orbs staring down the pair directly across from him.

 

Roxas leaned forward slightly, gazing at his friend across from him. "Yes, Sora?" he asked, his smirk turning into a smile as he feigned innocence. Roxas kept the phone behind his back for safe-keeping. Sora only wishes he did the same, the boy thought playfully.

 

Sora leaned forward, arm on the table supporting him. He furrowed his eyebrows, looking right into Roxas' eyes. "Give it back," he said in a low growl, his tone sounding serious for the most part, but also a bit playful and frantic underneath that.

Namine tried to keep her laughter as soft as possible. Sora was so funny, looking at Roxas like that over a silly picture. Boys will be boys, she mused, a smile forming on her lips.

 

Roxas's smile grew into a grin. "Or what?" he pushed with confidence. Honestly, he wasn't sure what Sora would do, but he couldn't do anything considering they were in a restaurant. It didn't matter; if Roxas knew Sora like he thought he did, he wouldn't do something rash in such a proper place.

Kairi pressed her lips together to control her laughter. These two boys were entertaining her, that was for sure.

 

Sora had to divert his gaze at Roxas challenge. There was really nothing he could use to threaten his friend at that point in time. Unless, of course, he brought up something from the distant past...But he had no clue about any of that, either. Nothing embarrassing came to mind!

 

Roxas lifted a brow, his grin turning into a smirk as he silently challenged his friend. Did Sora have anything at all in mind? By the way he looked away, the blond guessed not. He kept the phone behind him, still leaning forward.

 

Namine smiled softly, almost feeling bad for Sora now. He really, really seemed distressed, even if it were just a game.

Sora exhaled a heavy breath, gritting his teeth. He looked up from the table and met Namine's eyes, a pleading look coming across his face. Please, Namine...please get me my phone back, he pleaded. You loved that picture earlier this week...

 

Roxas's smirk stayed in place as he leaned back from the table in triumph. Yes, he won this battle. Finally he got one against Sora. Jokingly, of course. They were just playing after all.

Kairi shook her head at the boys, watching Roxas before following his gaze to Sora. He seemed so upset, but at the same time she knew it was all in good fun.

 

Namine smiled weakly at Sora, understanding the message he was trying to get across. But she knew that even if she wanted to give him his phone back, there was no way she could steal it away from Roxas.

Sora leaned back slightly, but still not quite done with the puppy eyes. "Please," he silently mouthed, his eyes showing his desperation. He needed that phone back or he would ultimately lose this game between him and Roxas!

 

Roxas's smirk faded slightly as he looked at Sora, then it vanished completely when he followed his friend's gaze to his girlfriend. His eyes widened and he leaned closer to Namine, interfering their eye contact. "Hey, hey! No begging!" he cried.

Kairi continued to stay silent, too entertained to interfere with such a good performance from her friends.

 

Namine leaned over slightly from behind Roxas while he was looking at Sora, the girl still struck by his puppy-eyes. They were so convincing that she almost felt like she had to do what Sora was asking her to do. It certainly felt like she would give in soon...

Sora looked from Roxas and then back to Namine when she moved so that he could see her a little better. He kept his eyes on her, silently begging that she did what was necessary.

 

Roxas leaned back, looking at the blonde beside him. "Namine..." he whined. He tried the puppy-pout as well, hoping it would be just as convincing.

Kairi chuckled. "Uh-oh..." Namine was in for trouble now--two of the same puppy-dog eyes? It wasn't a situation Kairi wanted to be in; it would be too hard to take sides.

 

Namine turned her head at the whine, her eyes immediately finding that Roxas was now giving her the look as well. "Oh, not that!" she groaned, turning her head the opposite direction. She bit down on her lip, though she couldn't help but smile a bit at how adorable Roxas was being.

"Namine," Sora whined, mocking Roxas in a way. Although Namine had looked away from him, he still kept his eyes on her, pleading to her with his puppy dog look.

 

Roxas pushed out his lower lip slightly, wide blue eyes looking sad and pitiful, like a puppy. "Nam..." he said, trying the nickname move. Surely she would realize that this was never fair toward him, right? He almost always lost... No, he always lost to Sora, because of this horrible picture.

Kairi was chuckling uncontrollably by this time, covering her mouth so she wouldn't be too loud.

 

Namine sucked in a breath, shaking her head slightly as she kept her back to Roxas. "I'm not going to look," she vowed aloud, trying to keep herself from laughing. But at the same time, she was caught in the middle. Whose side should she take?

 

"I think you may be out of luck, boys," Kairi said lightly, her giggling having died down for the most part. It was funny that they were depending so much on Namine. Kairi felt bad for her best friend.

Roxas pouted even more at Kairi's words. "Aww..." he whined again. That was no good, especially since Namine wouldn't turn around. What could he do to win her over? He had to be as cute as possible...

 

Sora leaned back in his seat, the boy letting out a soft groan. He figured that silence was the best thing right now, since Namine wasn't looking at either him or Roxas at that moment. But he was sure she would still feel the pressure of his puppy-dog eyes.

Namine turned her head slightly and gave Kairi a faint smile before turning back and looking down at the cushioning of the booth. How much longer can this go on? she thought, amused.

 

Roxas knew what he was going to do as soon as Namine turned back around. He would turn off the puppy-pout for now, but as soon as she faced them again, he would put it back on. He didn't know if it would work, but it was worth a shot. Sora had the unfair advantage... Picking on Roxas with his picture... So not fair, the boy thought sadly, but then noticed that the puppy-dog phase was affecting him more than he thought.
