Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Namine would have scolded him, but she couldn't stop herself from laughing. And she knew that if she tried to get away from Roxas now, she would fall and keep being tickled. She giggled, her eyes closing as tears started to form in her eyes.

 

Roxas chuckled as Namine's laughter filled his ears. After a moment, he decided that was enough for now. He then stopped, his hand coming to rest on her side as he laughed, a grin plastered on his face.

 

Namine's giggles started to turn into gasps as she finally was able to breath again, the tickle-torture finally coming to an end. She gripped Roxas' wrists tightly, her eyes staying shut and a smile remaining on her face as a bit of moisture escaped her eye and slid down her cheek.

 

Roxas let his chuckles fade as he looked at the girl in front of him, smiling. "Tickle-torture terminated," he assured her softly. "I'm done, I promise." Even if Namine was adorable when she was laughing like that, he had to stop because he knew she would have wanted him to. People can only handle so much tickling; Roxas knew that he was ticklish as well, and too much was just too much.

 

Namine spun around in his arms, a playful scowl on her lips. "Don't you ever do that again," she hissed, bringing up a hand and lightly hitting him on the upper arm. "You know I hate being tickled!" ....Even if I did deserve it...Oh, stop thinking like that! I didn't deserve that much tickling...

 

Roxas chuckled, his eyes on Namine's. "But you had to admit it was fun, right?" he tried, grinning at her. He took on the innocent look, bright eyes softening in hope that she would agree. She'd had fun, even he could see that. Even though Namine was right about her hatred for being tickled, he understood, which was why he stopped.

 

Namine sighed softly, shaking her head slightly in disbelief. She considered telling him that it wasn't fun, but that would have been a lie. "Fine," she huffed. "It was fun..." Despite her tone of voice, she couldn't help but smile at Roxas.

 

Roxas's grin softened slightly as he gazed at Namine. He leaned forward slightly and kissed her on her head before pulling back. His awakening wasn't something he expected; it had startled him, but thinking about it now, it was funny.

 

Namine's smile widened at Roxas' reaction. "I still say it was worth it," she said softly, her eyes shining as she looked up at Roxas. "Seeing you wake up like that...well, you should just be glad I didn't have my camera on me," she said with a teasing smile.

 

Roxas sighed, rolling his eyes playfully. "Another embarrassing picture... Just what I need," he joked, feigning annoyance at the thought. Of course, he was sure that picture would have been less embarrassing than the one Sora used to have of him. Instead, it would have been funny to him, for once.

 

Namine giggled, the girl lifting a hand. She set it lightly on Roxas cheek, her eyes staying on his the whole time. "Like I said, good thing I didn't have my camera with me," she said in a playful tone of voice. It would have been nice to have a picture, but she doubt she'd forget that face whether she had it recorded or not.

 

Roxas smiled. "Yeah, I'm grateful, trust me," he insisted, chuckling. And he was. He needed to work on getting his hands on something like that with his friends, to even up the score. But thinking about it, Roxas knew that he and Sora were even when Sora let him delete that awful picture.

 

Namine smiled, running her thumb over Roxas' cheek a few times. "Good." Her eyes wandered toward the house for a moment, the girl seeing Ty pacing by the back door. He must have smelt the breakfast she had prepared. She looked back at Roxas, a bit of playfulness in her expression. "I wonder if I should feed you breakfast after what just happened..." she mused, thinking of the tickle-torture.

 

Roxas smiled softly. "A warm breakfast would be nice," he admitted gently. It'd only be fair. Because, well, he was practically startled awake today. Ah well, it was Ty, and he loved that dog. He guessed it didn't really matter if that was the reason why or not.

 

Namine's smile turned more gentle as she looked at Roxas, her hand sliding off his cheek and onto his arm. "I already made eggs," she confessed. She had been awake much longer than Roxas, but he probably hadn't had time to register that with all that had happened this morning with Ty.

 

Roxas nodded. "Okay," he said. He had been full from dinner last night, his pasta having been amazing. But now he could feel the emptiness of his stomach; those eggs sounded pretty darn good.

 

Namine nodded softly, a smile still on her lips. "Let's go, then," she said, noticing that Roxas still had a hand on her side. She allowed her hand to slide down his arm and grab his other hand before she started walking toward her home.

 

Roxas smiled softly and followed without a word. He was hungry, and he felt like he owed Namine a thank you. Not only for letting him stay the night, though that had been pretty unintentional, but also for fixing breakfast.

 

Later that night...

Sora furrowed his brows in his sleep, the teen not having a peaceful slumber at all. His dreams were haunting him, making him subconsciously grind his teeth as he slept.

"You're finished," Dark Sora growled at Sora, the evil entity standing over the fallen Keyblade wielder. Roxas was nowhere to be found, safely with his other friends. Sora was aware enough to know that this was really the end for him; he had no strength left in him to fight. He had given everything, but it hadn't been good enough.

Sora gasped when he felt himself fading away, his darkness taking his place in his body.

But his mind wasn't completely gone; he could see and hear like normal but he couldn't speak or move his own body. Now he was standing upright, his dark-self fully in control of his body. He heard a voice call out to him, and his eyes landed on the redhead in the doorway. Kairi.

 

Kairi slept soundly in her bed, lying on her side that faced the window. The moonlight was casted across her face, though it didn't affect her slumber at all. She breathed evenly, dreaming of the wonderful times between her and her friends.
