Favourite Instrument?

at the momment i'm learning how to blay drums i'm starting with the snare drum haven't got my own drum^^

 

I'm attempting to begin to attempt to learn how to attempt to learn how to play the guitar. Meaning, I've had an acoustic guitar in mah closet for almost three years now, and can't even play a single chord. I've just been way too busy. I used to play the trombone a lot, and I had a small fling with the drums. Now THOSE were fun to play. I'm half tempted to buy Rock Band 3 and the "semi-real" instruments. After I save up for it, a'course. :D

 

I love the Dobro guitar (it has various names but this is what I know it by) I wish I had one, I would play it a lot.
I play the acoustic guitar and I love that too, I also want to learn the bass.

I just love guitars :3

 

I used to play the piano when I was in school; but now I just chill out with my acoustic gutair relaxing at home. I played for a few years, eh nothing special ;)

 

I love to sing, and I play piano. I also play guitar. I like writing music for instruments, and my vocal coach says that I'm quite good. I just don't really know if I am or not. I want to be on Broadway someday :)

 

I like many instruments...but not many sound as good alone so i has lotsa favourites :3

 

Although I've been a guitarist in every band I've ever joined (all 5 of them *sigh*), I absolutely love the harmonica. When you listen to a skilled harp veteran play, you can feel that Western American Blues style that it's always been associated with, and it's a sad, yet comfortable feeling that I just have to try to make my own.

As far as guitars go, my current is a Parker Hornet PM20, but it's always been my dream to buy a Gibson Firebird Mk.VII. I've seen nothing but crappy Epiphone replicas in every shop I go to, but as soon as I find an authentic Gibson, I'm cashing in on that birdy as quickly as my wallet lets me.

 

I've only learned to play piano for the past 4, almost 5, years. My piano teacher says I'm really good, with the skill of a 7th year, but I don't think I'm all that great.

 

Hard to say what my favorite instrument is, seeing as they all sound amazing in the right hands (or lips, etc. lol). But for the most part, my favorites have always been the sound of large numbers of brass instruments (trumpets, baritones/euphoniums, tubas, etc), mostly because I've done drum & bugle corps for so long. Naturally, as a percussionist, I love the sound of things being hit with other things, particularly in the area of melodic percussion, and recently, the instruments used in Gamelans.

Also recently, I've come to admire the ukulele. Pan flutes and the like also make for some very beautiful sonic experiences.

 

My favorite instrument is the one I play - the violin. And then there are the times where I get those impossibly smooth sounds - gives me goosebumps! I also have a fondness for the piano, and I've been trying to teach myself to play, but it's not going to well...

It would have to be the Piano, Violins, and Cello.

 

My favorite is Drums because I play Drums to me there's so much I can do if I just practiced alot. I played in my marching band and they let me get my own spot in the football games to do some solos on the Snare Drum, I play on a drum set now and I wish i could upgrade to like an electric drum set or something i wanna play some Disturbed songs on that drum, well cover actually lol.

 

I don't play an instrument, but in terms of which instrument I like hearing in songs, I would have to say it's the violin.

It just adds the pretty, almost somber element to songs.
Like in this one.

 

I don't think I have a favorite, but I guess if I had to pick, it would have to be the flute, mostly because of how it sounds.

 

Definitely the didgeridoo.

 

Piano. not a keyboard but a piano. i have an upright, but i prefer the sound in a grand.

 

Well not sure if it's my favorite but I know how to play the trombone . . . or I did . . . it's been a while.
I do really like the piano though (can't play) because it was always and elegant instrument to me. All other instruments fail in comparison so I guess this would be my favorite ^_^

 

My favorite would be the piano.
I've been trying to teach myself how to play but it's a lot more difficult than I thought. >>
I would like to learn to play by ear and make covers.

I also like the saxophone.
