Support File Types

    Ever since my Quality of Avatars thread, I've been saving things images with a .png extension (e.g., Tai Kamiya.png), courtesy of @The Hero of Time here, so that even though the final output will be JPG, when I'm editing them (cropping, re-sizing) when they're still PNG, they don't lose quality.

    However, is there a way I can check what images' file types are before I save them? Because maybe they're already PNG.
