IX is just the shit man, Ozma man, hardest fucking optional boss in the entire series (don't give me Yiazmat, all he is is time consuming)

 

Excuse me, Locke was an awesome character, with a great story, and Gau was great too, abandoned by his father and left on the Veldt because his mother died giving birth to him. Good character story, not to mention Celes and Terra.

 

Yeah, hurt me more masochist Celes and fuck you god modder Terra are great characters.

Locke could literally not be in the game and it would have played out the entire same.

 

They should have Yoshitaka Amano draw the character concept designs next time instead.

And the pace of VI is awful not to mention, the first half is fine, I have no issues with it, little too much party swapping but whatever.

The entire second half of the game is gathering up your members again, like they got half way done as decided "Ctrl C + Ctrl V guys, go to lunch, i got this shit."

 

Ouch, they were great, and all had sad stories, and you know what, they had much more diverse characters than other games, and if any FF character is masochistic, it's Cloud.

The second half was amazing, it didn't have to be slow-paced, you could just fly up to Kefka's tower as soon as you pick up Setzer. You'll die horribly, but you could do it.

The only characters who didn't get ****ed up in Dissidia art were Zidane, Cecil, Tifa, Tina (Terra), Tidus, Yuna, Kain, Squall, and Lightning.

Sephy's face looked wierd.

Vaan looked the same.

Everyone else was just everyone else.

They're mostly the same person with different styles of talking and then, if you're lucky, an interesting story that almost makes up for them not having personalities

 

You'd think the sequel would have improved his design a bit though

 

But it wasn't just his art that was messed up, it's been his entire personality since AC. Nomura just drew what fits his now changed personality and it blows.

 

And all of their stories are like:

"Um...guys we could spend 30 hours of gameplay developing these characters over time, or we could have like one long ass cutscene and sidequest that does it all for us, OPTION B RITE? PEOPLE WILL LOVE THAT"

 

Because any of the later games are any better? I loved the characters of Final Fantasy VI. I liked the high stakes esper/war of the magi stuff. I thought it was cool. I'm not going to change my opinion. I haven't played a single better final fantasy game since. I liked those characters. They were my favorite, and always will be.

Cloud seems to have lost awesomeness with age then.

I've never played a Final Fantasy game before. They look pretty good though so I might try them out.

 

Okay, now this is kind of crap, since every Square Enix game does this.

I really want to play duodecim, I haven't gotten the chance to. I know I'm way late, but hey, everyone misses out on something, right? Ha. I plan on buying it soon actually.

You clearly never even played IX at all.

 

Never played Duodecim considering that Dissidia was pretty mediocre and broken. Was he really better? Because one of his worst appearances was actually the original Dissidia.
